3rd Gen Mirage Island

    Has anyone here been to Mirage Island? I just finally stepped foot on it today after 9 years of owning Sapphire.

    It was a pretty disappointing island (filled with Wynuats and some rare berry), but hey, at least now I can say that I have seen it.
     
    Never seen it, never will. I haven't actually tried to look for it. And like you said, it's not all that exciting, so I don't really think it's particularly worth it, unless you stumble upon it randomly.
     
    Ah, the famous Mirage Island and all the legends about it... Younger I talked to the Pacific Log everyday in hope to see it. I had read so many things about it on the internet, and wanted too much to see it ! I didn't know what it exactly was, and was sure there would be secret legendaries Pokémon or mega rare items or only shiny Pokémon or something like that. I imagined an incredible place, that I couldn't ever forget. Finally, and as both of you said, this island is not that awesome. I'd be happy if I could see it, because it's very rare and it would be a satisfaction. I think it's better I didn't see it younger, I would have been very disappointed I guess. At least, this island allowed me to dream !
     
    I found it by accident one day.

    T'was a fun find but nothing to get excited about, other than the fact that it is so rare to find. The only thing that's really worth finding is the berry, as it's particularly good at making Pokeblocks. Plant it in the ground and get a bunch of them. The Pokemon on the island aren't really worth catching though, since Wynaut can be hatched through the egg you get in Lavaridge.
     
    I can honestly say that when I first got the game, I would check every single day with the guy in Pacifidlog Town to see if the island was there, and I always ended up dissappointed. I even saved standing next to him, and even though I didn't really play the game for about a year, I would check my GBA every day, but I'd always get the same response.

    Now that the internal battery has dried up on my Sapphire, I'll never get the opportunity to see Mirage Island in my own game. While I know that it really isn't anything special, it would have been nice to be able to go there just to say I did.
     
    I believe complete the island is complete and udder bull No but i've never been there and never will be unless the remakes of RSE ever come out. I guess i could get my emerald fixed but i don't think it would be worth it in the end go and get berries and a wynuat that i can get a egg of and infinite eggs from wobbuffet.
     
    I've never been there, and I have to say that I hate the way you find it. The game generates a number and Mirage Island only appears if it matches your ID? Honestly, what are the chances of that happening? Not very high, I'll tell you.
     
    I've never been there, but I've seen what it's like via YouTube videos. Not really worth getting excited about, like everyone said before; however, I would like to get that rare berry! The Enigma berry, I believe? After getting it, just plant it somewhere easily accessible and grow a bunch for yourself. :)
     
    I managed to accidentally stumble across it many years ago. Not great but the berry is worth it. It makes wonderful Pokeblocks and is especially helpful if your trying to get Feebas to evolve.
     
    I thought mirage island was a special event... I had no clue you could get to it like that. Well ive only seen it through advance map. Never actually played in it. I bet it would be fun though, just to see what all the fuss is about.
     
    Every day Mirage Island generates a random unseen number. Same with Every Pokemon you own. The trick to seeing Mirage Island is Taking every Pokemon you own to the old man in Pacifidlog to see if he can see Mirage Island. The random numbers generated by your Pokemon has to match Mirage Island's random number for it to appear. If memory serves me right the berries are Lichie and they help make really good blue/indigo Pokeblocks. There are also a bunch of Wynaut running around but the old lady outside the hot spring in Lavaridge town gives you an egg that hatches into Wynaut.
     
    I really wish I could've gotten to see it! I even traded for a bunch of Pokemon with different IDs just so I could try. Unfortunately, my internal battery ran dry (aka no more time) on Sapphire & Emerald, so I think that I'll never be able to =/ (childhood dreams crushed)
     
    Dont you catch latios/latias on mirage island? Or is that a different island?

    Nah that was southern island where you caught the remaining lati ( latios in sapphire and latias in ruby )
    Mirage island had a liechi or salac berry ( don't remember ) and grass patches with wild wynauts ( pre evolution to wobafet )
     
    I checked every day on Ruby and Sapphire but never been fortunate enough to visit it.
     
    If they end up remaking Ruby/Sapphire, then they should really fix that.
     
    I ran into it once(after months of checking every day not knowing what I would find.) I was particularly disappointed in only finding Wynauts. The berry was a great find regardless.
     
    As pinta77 said in the remake of ruby and sapphire they should fix that . e.g. it should appear depending on the time of the day
