"Sounds like a deal," Skye agreed. She was still barefoot, her feet now on the snow in the coutyard, but of course she did not feel it. She looked at Johann. "I wish we had spoken sooner. We probably could have avoided the whole fight we had."

She yawned and stretched, watching the sun as it peeked over the horizon.

"Have fun at breakfast," she said, her voice as cold as the air and snow around her. There was no bitterness, no anger, only a lack of feeling. "I'm going to go to bed, I think. Good bye."

She turned and left, bringing herself to the Gryffindor Tower, and practically passing out on her bed. She fell into a deep sleep, and did not awaken until mid-afternoon.

At the Great Hall I met Jane and Will, who were still enjoying their new found love. I sat beside them and found that I felt like I could run around the castle 500 times and still have plenty of energy to fight off 1000 dragons, although that was way beyond my reaches that's how I felt. "You two make a great couple!" I said laughing at their dazed faces as they looked at one another.

Will was the first to shake out of the daze, "You think so?" He said blushing.

"I nodded shoving a peice of frrench toast into my mouth.

I woke up the next morning in a great mood. I got ready, and went down to the Great Hall. I went over to thr Gryffindor Table, and sat down. I started eating my toast, and pulled out my new quill and parchment. I began to do my essay on Boggarts for DADA.

"I see your in a great mood. Did you get a good nights sleep?" Jane asked.

"No, I stayed up all night. But I'm in a great mood." I said smiling.

"really? Your not tired?" Will said alittle concerned.

"Actually I feel great, never felt better although I've been up for 24 hours." I said laughing. I then got out a peice of parchment and a quil and started on my essay on Dragons for Defense against the dark arts.

Will and Jane exchanged worried looks and Will was the first to say, "Are you feeling okay?"

"Why?" I said as I began writing, and taking out the book on dragons Batesy gave me.

"Your doing you essay! And it's not even due until next week. You normally do it the last day." Jane said supprised.

"That does seem strange, strange things have been happening ever since the dance." I said shrugging. I finished my essay in under 10 minutes and didn't give a second thought to it. While Jane and Will took the paper quickly and read through it carefully, trying to find mistakes.

When they put it down their faces were priceless, I laughed loudly and said, "What is it that awful?"

"IT'S BRILLANT!" Jane said alittle too loudly. "You did this in all of 10 minutes!"

"9 minutes, 47 seconds, and 5 milli-seconds to be percise." I corrected her. Wait! How did I know that.....I wasn't even counting the time, and it felt like hours flew by before I was done with that essay. I thought as I caught on to what they were talking about, although I was equally surprised.

"Are you sure your okay?" Jane said.

"OH!" I said, but it wasn't me, it was Flame. I forgot about the bet. I felt my hair it was spiked with red hightlights through it signalling that our spirits had molded. I laughed and they both looked at me with a confused expression. I explained the whole bet to them. "Well see you two later, Flame has my body for today." I said smiling.

They both laughed and shook their heads, "See ya tomorrow." Will finally said.

In a blink of an eye my hair was completely spiked and was a flaming red color. My eyebrows grew pitch black, and my fingernails turned black, and my muscles buldged more than they normally did. My green eyes, turned to a red color and my smile turned more gentle and more forgiving than I could ever make it.

Jane threw her hand out in front of her and said, "You must be Flame, I only met you as a dragon, so I've never talked to you."

Flame shook her hand and said, "I have never talked to you either, you must be the loyal Jane." He kissed the back of her hand and then turned to Will. "Ah! You must be his best friend Will." Flame said happily.

"Yes I am. I'm glad to finally meet you in person." Will said chuckling at the irony of the dragon being human and meeting him in person. Flame got the joke and laughed too. Flame smiled showing two fanged teeth like a vampires.

"If I didn't know you were a dragon I would have thought you a vampirre with those fangs." Jane added for added humor.

Although Flame took that as an insult he just kept the same gentle and forgiving expression on his face. "I see you like my report." Flame said smiling still.

"Yeah it's very good. Well it would be with your wisdom. I've heard that dragons are the wisest of all animals, including humans." Jane said interested.

"That we are." Flame said glad that she complimented him after the insult.

Flame then noticed Karli, he walked over to her and said, "Hey, we met once before this year, wasn't a very good one though. I'm sorry for any trouble I might have caused." He then looked at the parchment and without reading it Flame said to Karli, "You need help on your essay on Boggarts?"

Cassidy woke, rubbing her eyes tiredly. The sun was setting, and the room was a little chilly as she put her feet on the stone floor. Her hair a mess, she walked to the bathroom, and took a hot shower. She scrubbed and scrubbed at her body, snd somehow, just didn't feel clean. She was not at peace with herself at all, especially after last night. The things she had said, about giving up emotions, not being able to feel, they frightened her, but the cut on her side seared with pain, and she was reminded once again why she had to keep herself in check.

She wrapped a fluffy, white towel around her, and stepped out of the shower. Normally, she didn't bother with looking at herself in the mirror, but for some reason, she felt compelled to. Wiping the condensed steam from the mirror over the sink, she looked at her face, which stared back blankly.

What had she become? In order to conquer this evil that had come to live within herself, she had given up everything that made her human. She crinkled her nose, remembering the words the strange man had said to her:

"You're only human, after all."

She could not allow herself to give in to his ideals. More than anything, she wanted to be beyond human, to vanquish evil without worry. More than anything, she wanted to be at peace with who she was.

So many of the students in Japan called her cold, distant, anti-social. She was all these things, despite her best efforts to change here at Hogwarts. She wanted the best of both worlds, wanted to feel everything positive, and push the negative aside.

Tearing herself away from the fogged-up mirror, she returned to her room and got dressed. She pulled on a pair of dark blue jean flares, and a black shirt. She put her wand into her pocket, feeling uneasy, and walked downstairs. She had a bunch of homework to do over the holiday break, but she did not feel like doing it today.

Instead, she sat down by the fire, in her favorite chair. Fixing her eyes on the flames in the hearth, she felt warmth wash over her face.

But it could not penetrate past that.

She curled up in the chair, hugging her knees. She knew this battle with the darkness around her and within her was far from over, despite how dormant it was lying for the time being. She continued to watch the flames for a little longer, half-wishing she could feel the same warmth within her soul.

OOC: Wow....I guess that was kind of dark....O_o

Meanwhile, I was in Flames body. I soared freely and then for the first time noticed different voices whispering inside my head. They were the thoughts of all the people in Hogwarts, it took me awhile to comprehend this fact but if I focused I could tell which voice belonged to who. I wonder... I said, of course each time I spoke it was through thought. I focused and tryed to block them, but I found a weakness in dragons, they couldn't block their minds. I then focused in on Cassidy's thoughts, all I felt was sarrow from her mind, deep in sarrow and a hidden darkness locked in her mind. I was also very cold like she was trapped inside her own mind and locked herself away. Poor Cassidy... I said to myself. I tear escaped my eye, which was the dragons eyes. I have all the powers dragons have! That means my tears heal, and bring mental strength back and happiness.

I then focused harder on her mind until I was linked to it so I could talk to her. Cassidy it's me Johann! I said to her, I explained the bet I made with Flame and then said, Now that I'm a dragon for a day, I found a way to cure your emptiness! Dragon tears heal the soul and make it strong and happy. So your mind will be strong enough to block the darkness, but you'll be happy and be able to show all emotion.

Then it came to me, they're was a price, but not as pricey as locking away your emotions, There is a condition for this to take effect on a human. I must feel strongly about the person, that means love, and the other person must feel the same way about me. So I don't think it would work on you... unless your willing to love. But I'm not asking you to love me...that that's the only way to cure you... I explained. The choice is yours. YOu could focus on loving me for a short time while I cure you, then get rid of the thought, that would work. But you must choose... I added to Cassidy. Then I waited for her choice.

Berii slowly opened her eyes. She still had a fever but it will be healed in no time. She just noticed that Andy's hand was still in her cheek, she smiled softly then carefully removed his hand. She stood up and walked to the bathroom as quietly as she can so she can take a bath.

Once she was done, she dressed up and brushed her hair. She looked at the mirror, satisfied. She walked down the stairs and sat on the couch she had slept in. She looked at Andy, she couldn't be anymore grateful.

After the dance, it was...... Boring. Nothing to do, just sitting around, reading....
I had just opened up the rest of my presents, and now was bored to DEATH.

OOC: Oh, sorry, lost track. ^^;
That was sort of to make up for me not being here yesterday, I guess...

BIC: The next day, at brekfast, I found myself equally bored, like the other afternoon, and was now stiring my cereal around with a spoon, watching the magical Alphabet cereal form random words, like BLUG BLUG and CHICKEN FEET.
The dye had now washed out, so I was just plain dirty-blonde now.
Wait.
Correction: Silvery-blonde. And I DO NOT LIKE IT AT ALL!!
I look like a freak.
I mean, I already have DARK LAVENDER eyes, now SILVERY-BLONDE hair.
Great...
I'll have to ask Prof. Flitwick about this....

"No thanks Flame, Im already finished" I said, picking up my parchment and reading it over.

Flame looked at her curiously and said after awhile, "No wonder Johann likes you. Your very pretty and smart. Who were you doing the essay for?" Flame sat on the opposite side of her looking her over, trying figure out, the real reason Johann liked her.

Finishing the rest of the cereal (And after watching it spell GLUB GOLDFISH SWIM BUBBLE), I absent mindedly looked over at my friends.
Flame was now there, Karli was talking to him...
Taking out a spare piece of parchment, I began to doodle, and watched the doodles move around on the page.

"No one really...Im just doing it" I said, tucking the parchment away.

Not very friendly, kind of snobby. Don't quite know what Johann likes in this girl. He thought as he watched her.

Flame turned his attention to Terra and said smiling, "Hi Terra. You look bored. how about going for a little walk with me."

"Huh? Oh, okay Flame..." I said, looking up in sheer suprise, then standing up, throwing the doodle-covered parchment, quill, and purple colored ink into my bag.

I buckled up my book bag, as I watched Flame turn his attention towards Terra.
"I'll....see you guys later..." I said slowly, transforming into a falcon, and flying off towards the doors, with my book bag clutched in my claws.

Flame lead her to the courtyard, there was a few other students there just talking. After awhile of silence, Flame was the first to break it, "Do you know why I asked you to take a walk with me?" His red eyes looking deep into hers.

After dropping my book bag off in the girls dormitory, I went to the dungeon. The only light down there was the candles. I found a perch, and landed there. All of a sudden, I saw a shadow appear. I spread my wings ready to fly away just in case...but around the corner came Filch.
"Get out of here" he said grumpily. "Shoo you bird"
I silently flew away. I went outside and landed on a tree. Hopefully nothing would bug me there.
