When I got to Karlis side I asked, "What was the shriek for? Is there something wrong?" A creature than jumped in between us and was strangely acting protective of her.

''We need help! But where to get it!" I thought. Then I had a brilliant idea. I flew into the forest, and made a whistling sound with my beak. I heard a whinny, and Zach and Soraya appeared. I transformed and they trotted over to me. I got onto Sorayas back, and said, "Come on!"

We soon jumped out of the forest. Zach ran over to Andrew and Cassidy, to heal any of their injuries. I turned Soraya around. The creature was lying there. It was dead. I smiled. I saw Johann, and Soraya ran up to him.
"Im fine...I was just helping Cassidy out"

"I dont know!" I said. "I have to go!"
I steered Soraya over to Cassidy, Andrew, and Zach.
I hopped off of Soraya and bent down beside Andrew. "Is she alright?" I asked him.

Andrew did not know what to do. For all he knew, Cassidy was dead. He transformed back into a human, and ran to get Snape's help, for even a unicorn, unless it shed its blood, could not put a stopper on death.

But Snape could.

"Professor Snape!" he called, his voice hoarse with worry. Cassidy still did not stir.

Snape was there within moments, the creature from the lake being slain, and everyone returning to the castle shivering. Andrew was near tears, kneeling at Cassidy's side.

"We have to get her to the castle, quickly!" Snape snapped brasquely. He picked Cassidy up off the ground, cradling her like a young child in his arms. She was limp, and growing colder by the moment.

"Someone grab her broom!" Professor McGonigall snapped, rushing to Snape's side as they ran towards the castle. "And for heaven's sake, get inside before you all get sick! I TOLD you to stay in your dormitories!"

Andrew chased after Snape tirelessly, looking back only to see if her friends were following.

If you want me dragonrider come and get me! I'm on the other side of the lake, don't bring anyone else. I'd like a word with you! a voice rang in my head.

I toward to face the lake and a dark picture filled my mind. A picture of pain, murder, and great strength.

I'm coming! i replied angerly, although I had no reason to be angry, anger just filled my body.

Shall we go, Johann? Flame asked.

yes, let's go! I replied.

I got up, and rubbed Zachs nose. "Its okay, you tried boy"
I started to walk towrads the castle. I had to go to the Hospital Wing about my arm. I felt a tear fall down my cheek.
"This was all my fault...." I thought, as I turned into a corridor.

Berii watched as Cassidy got carried inside, she felt like she was going to cry. She didn't help at all! She was far from the monster because everytime she walk near it, her body will ache, then after a while her head will hurt too.

"I didn't do anything..." she whispered to herself. "...if something happens to Cassidy, I'll never forgive myself."

Berii stayed still, looking at the castle, hoping Cassidy is alright.

"Miss Asakura!" she heard someone call. She looked up it was Professor McGonagall. Apparently, she had been watching the entrance of the castle and she just found out who was one of the students who didn't follow them.

"Come inside, NOW!" she yelled. Berii nodded and followed her quietly, holding back the tears that was fighting to come out.

Andrew was shut out of the hospital wing, along with the rest of Cassidy's friends. He collapsed in a heap on the floor outside the hospital wing, head in his hands. He couldn't believe it. His sister, dead?

He felt a tear escape his eye and fall onto his sleeves. He shuddered, and didn't care anymore about who saw him there, Slytherin or not. Deep in his mind, he haf-hoped Cassidy's friends would come, so he wouldn't have to be alone.

Inside the hospital wing, Madam Pomphrey was busy finding ingredients for Snape. She had a strange expression on her face, like what she was doing should not be done. Snape was intent only on his cauldron, as he mixed some ingredients together.

Dumbledore was there, watching him carefully. He touched Cassidy's cold forehead gently, feeling great remorse. He had known Cassidy's mother personally. She had been a top student at Hogwarts, and he had hoped the same for Cassidy, despite the fact that she had little magical power.

"Professor Snape," Dumbledore's soft voice said, urgency tugging at his tone. "She is fading very quickly."

"I know," was all he said, as his potion turned a bright red. Some steam rose from the cauldron. Lips clenched tightly, he brought the cauldron to Cassidy's side, and pulled open her mouth. He ladled the liquid into her mouth, watching it glide down her throat.

"Destroy the rest of the potion," Dumbledore ordered. "I want it completely gone. No one must ever speak of it again."

In the secrecy of the hospital wing, they waited, hoping, and outside, Andrew just let the tears fall.

Berii was eavesdropping at Dumbledore and Snape were talking about. She didn't quite understand why the potion had to be hidden.

"Cassidy..." she thought as she walked away from where she was. She saw Andrew...crying.

"Andy, she'll be alright." she reassured, but she was really worried.

I waled slowly over to Andrew, and put my arm around his shoulder.
"She is going to be alright, I know it..." I muttered. "Just dont lose hope"

I suddenly remembered Christmas Eve was tommorow. My stomach jerked forward. What if Cassidy wouldnt be alright? What if she was dead?

"Oh God, will someone turn those lights down or something?" Cassidy groaned, shutting her eyes tightly, and rolling over under the covers.

Someone let out a very big breath, and a few other sighs could be heard.

"Oh thank goodness..." the was Madam Pomphrey's voice!

The lights dimmed, and Cassidy opened her eyes. She was in the hospital wing, and Snape, Dumbledore, and Madam Pomphrey were all standing around her. Cassidy tried to sit up, but she felt very weak, and submitted to jut lying there. Her stomach hurt something awful, and the scar on her side felt very fresh. Despite the fact that she could not remember how she got in the hospital wing to begin with, and the fact that she felt awful, she had a feeling that she had overcome some kind of large obsticle.

She could have sworn she saw a faint smile on Snape's mouth.

"I'm glad to see you've recovered," Dumbledore told her gently, his eyes twinkling. "We were worried for a little while."

"What happened?" she asked weakly. "All I remember is falling through the ice...and falling asleep...is the monster slain? My friends! Berii, Terra, everyone!"

"Oh cut it out," Snape half snapped. "They're all fine, no thanks to you."

Cassidy would have said something if she hadn't felt so sick.

Her stomach took the oppertunity to rid itself of the food she had eaten yesterday. Madam Pomphrey brought her a bucket. Cassidy blushed, embarassed that she had vomited in front of the headmaster.

"Well," said Dumbledore, getting up. He placed a hand on her head, feeling the warmth of life that had been absent from her that night. "I am sure the Great Hall will be happy to hear of your recovery. I shall send a note to Gryffindor Tower to tell your friends right away."

"Thank you, sir," she said, smiling weakly.

"Alright, all of you!" Madam Pomphrey ordered the staff that had gathered to see Cassidy. "Out out out!! Cassidy needs her rest!"

She shoved the last of the staff out of the room, and darkened the lights. Cassidy turned over on her good side, and had a nice, long nap.

Andrew recieved a note from Snape that morning, early, and opened it eagerly. He recalled a bunch of Cassidy's friends offering him comfort last night after the incident, but it was all a blur to him. Now that he held the letter in his trembling hands, he almost dared not open it. But he did:

Your sister is fine. Go and visit her in the hospital wing. Bring her potions homework to her.

Snape

Andrew chucled, and slipped the letter under his robes. Relieved, he dashed towards the hospital wing, hoping to see his sister. He could not remember the last time he was happy to see her.

Berii heard, from other Gryffindors, that Cassidy was alright. She quickly ran to the Hospital Wing.

She couldn't sleep last night because she so worried but she didn't have anything to woory about. She was so happy she could've sworn she hugged everyone she saw while on here way to the Hospital Wing.

When she got in she saw Cassidy and ran towards her. "Hey Cassidy."she said with a bright smile on her face.

Cassidy smiled at the sound of Berii's voice. She looked over towards the doorway to see Berii running in.

"Hey," she said weakly, sitting up a little. "How's it going? Sorry to scare you guys."

She smiled, glad that Berii had come to visit. Now that Cassidy was rested up, she felt much better, and was pretty oblivious as to how seirous her condition had been.

Just then, Andrew came through the doorway. Cassidy braced herself, feeling tense at the sight of her brother, but remembering what Snape had said about making ammends, about not becoming like him...

She didn't even have to say anything. Andrew's smile said it all. It was not the self-assured, arrogant smile he usually wore. Instead, it was deeply relieved, and happy to see her.

"You really scared us you know," he said to her, and she could have sworn she saw a tear in his eye.

"What?" Cassidy asked, starting to chuckle. "You're talking like I died or something!"

I rushed down to the Hospital Wing the next morning. Once I reached the doorway, I put my hands on the doorframe, panting. I smiled once I saw Cassidy. I rushed over to her, and hugged her.
"Im so glad your okay!" I said. "Im so sorry....it was all my fault!"

"Hi Karli!" Cassidy exclaimed happily as Karli practically threw herself on her. "I'm okay, I promise! Everything's alright. What do you mean it was your fault? That I fell through the ice? Silly, you could't control what the monster was doing. This so isn't your fault!"

Cassidy smiled, feeling better now that her friends had come to see her. She swung her legs over the side of the bed, and got up, a little wobbly at first, but she felt like she couldn't miss another moment.

Andrew's smile was vanishing slowly, and he padded silently out of the hospital wing. She didn't need him right now, or at all really. She had her friends, and that was all that mattered. He was beginning to see another side of himself, and this person he was wasn't who he wanted to be. He hated his irrational nature, and how arrogant he pretended to be. He hated how he took people for granted, like Cassidy, and she had almost died!

He wiped a tear away from his eye, and shuffled back to the Slytherin common room. He sat by the fireplace, and looked down in disgust at his green and silver uniform. He would do anything to get out of Slytherin, and into any other house...anything.

Snape emerged from the darkness of the room, his face solemn, revealing no hint of emotion whatsoever. Andrew pretended not to see him.

"Andrew," Snape's harsh voice rang in his ears. He looked over at Snape quickly, feeling a little unsettled. "I am going to speak to Headmaster Dumbledore. I really don't think you are Slytherin material. You really don't belong in this dorm, and frankly, with your attitude, I don't want you in it."

With that, Snape strode out of the common room. Andrew wasn't sure what to think. He let it all digest. A new house for the next semester? Maybe...Gryffindor? He hoped so...

Since it was still early in the day, he made his way down to the Great Hall for breakfast.

OOC: I sorta lost track after RM posted (Thanks alot! Your ruined everything [J/K). So what's happening.

OOC: I'm going to do some catching up the dotted line signifies I'm done catching up and I'm in real time in the rp. I'm taking off from my last post.

IC: Stricken with the sudden anger, Flame and I raced to the other side of the lake.

Flame landed and I looked around. A shadowy figure came out from the darkness. I could feel the power generated from him, it was enormous. I hoped off of Flame knowing why he wanted me. I had on hand on the seath of my seath, and the other on the hilt of my blade. I stood a few meters from him. He let out a threatening laugh that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up straight. He snapped and Flame was chained to the ground. "What are you doing!?" I exclaimed running over to Flames side.

"Don't want him assisting you while I test your skill." He said calmly, his voice was deep and evil.

I hesitated and then got back on my feet. "Then let's begin. But first who are you?" I said both of our faces hidden by the darkness.

"My name! You are not worthy of knowing my name!" He chuckled. he drew his blade, it was long and stained with blood.

I swallowed hard, "What do you want from me?" I asked. "I've done nothing to you." I said.

"Ah, but you have. You are the only threatening thing that stands between me and Karli. I must test your strength, you may be of some use for me before I finally kill you." He said.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM KARLI!" I yelled, now righteous anger flowed through my veins.

"She has power, and she is my heir although it is only told in a lost prophecy. I need her, and you stand in the way!" He said obviously angery.

"Then bring it on!" I said as I felt Flame fusing our bodies together. He disappeared I held my sword out quickly and our blades met. He matched all my moves, and I had trouble blocking, but with Flame's help I was successful.

"Your good, but time to quit playing around!" He yelled. His blade let out a dark aura, and he disappeared. This time he completely broke my sword.

He uncloaked himself and said, "I am her father!" He then began chanting something. I then blacked out.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning I awoke in the hospital bed. how did I get here? I asked myself as I recalled last nights events.

OOC: For everyone who wants to catch up:

We all dealt with the creatures' assault on Hogwarts, and emerged victorious! Yay!! Now, something is going after Johann according to his above post, and it has something to do with Karli! Cassidy has been revived back to life, much to the relief of those close to her...including Andrew! *gasp* Now it is the last day before the first term ends I believe....just before winter holiday. What will happen next???

Wow...sorry for being all dramatic...
