Misadventures at Hogwarts: Term 2

Fianly, after minutes of searching, I found my dress.
Ice blue with tiny crystals embroidered at the top and all..... Here it was.
Quickly, I put it on, followed by the removal of the hair streaks, put my hair up, wove tiny crystals into it, ice blue higheels... And hurried down to the GH....

A soft laughter can be heard, and two children playing happily can be seen. They were in a hill and the wind was blowing softly. Berii watched as the boy runs after the girl. Her eyes widened as she stared at the girl, she looks remarkably like her but she told herself she was imiganing things, again...

"Alexis, shouldn't we go home now? It's getting dark." the girl said, looking at Alexis, who was beside her.

"You're right! C'mon." he said as he helped the girl up.

The two of them walked happily back to their houses, but before they could reach the house, a man blocked them. The man grabbed Alexis arm and dragged him to, which Berii asumed, his house. Before leaving, the man scolded the girl. "Never talk to him again!!"

The girl cried and called out her friend's name between sobs, but she was to late, the man had already locked Alexis in the house. "Alexis..." she whispered, still sobbing.

The girl silently walked back to her house and went in. Berii looked shocked and sat on the grass, staring at the girl's house. "Alexis?" she asked herself, trying hard to remember him.

"Berii," she heard someone call her as the beautiful scene disappeared. "you were too strong, his family was afraid of you. But you can help me, lend me your strength and I'll help you in return." the man said callously yet kind of understanding.

Berii shook her head feebly. "No...never." she whispered. "It's okay, Berii...trust me, it'll be okay B-..."

"Berii! Berii! Wake up!" Flora, a Gryffindor the same year as her, called. Berii slowly opened her eyes. "Do you want me to bring you to the Hospital Wing? Your burning!" Flora exlaimed.

She shook her head and said, "It's okay, go on the dance, I don't feel sick at all. I'll catch up later." Berii said softly.

"Okay, but if you get dizzy, tell me!" she said as she walked towards the portrait. "Okay." Berii replied, laying down again. With that said, Flora left and went down to the Great Hall.

Andrew, who had returned to Griffindor Tower after Karli was safe in the hospital wing, waited in the Common Room, trying to relax after a rather...diffecult...day. He saw Cassidy storm in, and he was suprised, so good was she at hiding her emotions. She stormed up the stairs without a word to him.

Andrew went upstairs to ready himself for the dance. He stood before his trunk, trying to decide what he would wear. A sickening feeling came over him, as he realized that Johann would probably be there. He decided it would be best not to go, lest another argument, or worse, a fight, break out.

Returneing to the common room, he spotted Berii, and was very tempted to go to the dance, and moreso, ask her to go. She looked rather feverish, so he walked over to her and asked what was wrong. He hoped that she wouldn't ask about his nose, which was now a very dark shade of black/blue.

"Hey Berii...you okay?" he asked, concerned at her rosy cheeks and glossy eyes. "You don't look like you feel really well...Anything I can do?"

Just then, Cassidy stormed downstairs, her face flushed with a deep anger, her hair left just as the winds outside had blown it. She was glaring daggers.

"You know what that jerk did to you?!" she demanded. "Johann PAID those Slytherins to attack you! The nerve! And he got furious at us for not getting him when Karli was taken. I can't believe him. I can't stand him at all. One of these days, he is really going to blow it with me, and I'm going to loose control! I'm only human after all...!"

Cassidy trailed off just then, and realized she had quoted what that terrible, strange man's voice had said to her earlier. She became very quiet, and sat down in a chair, feeling very confused.

"I don't know what to do. Someone or something has to straighten that kid out, or he is going to loose all his friends. I can't believe he PAID five people to attack Andrew...and like cowards! They attacked him from behind! He claimed it was to make Andrew stronger, but what right does he have to take those matters into his hands! Those kids are so huge and fat! How could anyone escape them, especially when they were sitting on him!" she exclaimed, fuming. "I can't BELIEVE I lost my temper at him. I never loose my temper...ever...honestly...."

She trailed off. There were no tears in her eyes, only hot anger. Her fists, which were rightly clenched, rested tensely on the arms of her chair. She looked over at Berii and Andrew. Berii's expression was shadowed by the play of the light, but she could see that Andrew was really suprised at her anger. She was never angry. She had excellent control. So what was her problem??

"Oh, I'm okay An-"

Before she could finish, Cassidy came and told Andrew what Johann did. She, too, was surprised that Cassidy lost her temper and at Johann too. She looked at her ring and back at Cassidy. She knew that what Johann did was wrong, but she didn't know it'll anger Cassidy so much. She looked at her worriedly even though she couldn't hardly see her because she was blurry (in her view) and tried to speak but no word came out. She sat on the couch, waiting for her to calm down a bit.

Cassidy took a deep breath, and let it out slowly. She looked over at Berii and Andrew, remorse in her face.

"I don't regret the way I acted towards him," Cassidy said, her voice returned to normal. Her eyes showed genuine remorse. "But I am very sorry for being so hot-headed towards you two."

Rising from her chair, she pushed at the wrinkles in her jeans, and went back upstairs. Moments later, she came back down, wearing her karate uniform, the black canvas making dense crinkle noises as she moved. She carried her bo and numchaku, and her hair was now brushed out.

"I...need to go do some thinking," she told Berii and Andrew. She looked like she was going to cry. "There is something wrong with me these days...it may have something to do with the scratch I have from that chimeara...it's been hurting a lot. I'm going to go find some place to practice and think. I will see you later...again...I'm really very sorry."

With that, she disappeared out the porthole, leaving Andrew and Berii in the common room. Andrew let out a breath.

"Gosh, she's furious," he said softly. "I have never seen her so mad. Our Dad has really trained her well to keep her emotions hidden, even the positive ones. Sometimes, it's so hard to tell whether she is happy or upset.

"And she tries so hard to be perfect at everything," Andrew continued. "She gets that from Dad too. Nothing was ever good enough for him, but Cassidy's come the closest to perfect out of the two of us. It's hard to see her like this sometimes...she and my dad together especially. I guess that's why I'm not as good as she is at everything. I don't want to be like that. I want to be able to feel..."

He trailed off, and looked at Berii. Deep in his heart, he felt a pang of heartache, a yearning for his father's approval, something, anything, to let him know that his father was proud.

"Ah, but what am I boring you with this for?" he said, trying his best to grin and chuckle. "You probably want to go get ready so you can go to that dance downstairs."

He looked into the fire, half hoping that she would invite him to go to the dance with her. He wanted very much to go...but feared it would only cause another blowup with Johann.

Cassidy stood in a deserted hallway with large windows of the pointed arch gothic0style overlooking a courtyard. She brandished her bo staff in the moonlight, her eyes devoid of feeling. Her mother had called it the "perfect polker face," if Cassidy had been a gambling kind of person. She swung the bo in deliberate, strong, and practiced motion, arching her back here, bending her leg further there. Her movements were fluid, easy, despite the great weight behind them. She could take on people twice her size, though she wished nothing more than to avoid any kind of combat.

She and Andrew were the perfect sparring partners, Cassidy thought to herself. He knew her weaknesses, as she knew his, and he was bigger than her, almost two heads taller. He was in every way a perfect opponent. He could have taken out all of those Slytherin boys when they attacked him earlier.

He's trying so hard to be what Dad wants him to, she said to herself, sending a powerful strike into the invisible opponent before her. The air answered her movement with a brisk swishing noise. If it had been a real person, they would no longer be breathing.

He doesn't realize it, but he is being submissive, she said to herself once more, spinning her bo above her like a helicopter propeller. She brought it down with a loud cracking noise, her movement causing a loud snap in the air as her uniform submitted to the sking, bones, and muscle beneath.

In trying to be what my father wants, he is straying from the path, she thought, bringing her bo to its final, deadly movement. A strike to hit the temple. An end to an opponent. An end to the kata. She stood up, bringing her feet together, and bowing to the air, keeping her eyes down, respectfully. He should have and could have defended himself. I wish he could just see that.

Panting, she relaxed her muscles, leaning the bo against the wall, and picking up her numchaku, with the engravings Andrew had made on them. She smiled faintly, and began a kata she had learned long ago.

Her father stood before her. It was after school hours, and the sun cast the shadows of the window panes at a slant across the floor. A five year old Cassidy stood before him, smiling.

"Straighten up!" her father told her. To her five year old ears, his voice was a bellow. "Get ready. Clear your mind. You cannot show emotion to your enemy. Now, follow me."

He led her across the floor in a graceful kata. They danced across the floor together, Cassidy copying his movements perfectly as Andrew stood and watched from a corner. Cassidy swung the wooden numchaku easily, confidently, not fearing the sting they left on the skin of a careless artist. She swung them quickly, fluidly, as if she had known the kata for years instead of minutes.

"You see how she clears her mind?" her father called to Andrew. A five-year-old, shaggy-haired Andrew looked at his father. His expression carried envy and disgust.

Their father turned back to Cassidy.

"Well done," he told her, putting a hand atop her head and messing up her short blond hair, the same cut and style she shared with her twin. "Go to dinner. Andrew and I have some more work to do."

This was not the first nor the last time Andrew would have to stay later than Cassidy at a training session. She knew the animosity that built up between them over the years, and yet, she did nothing to reconcile it, fearing her father would notice her weakness.

Cassidy, without realizing it, had finished the kata, and slumped to the cold stone floor in tears. She could control her saddness no longer, as it poured all over her hands, her uniform, the floor. She cried deeply, outwardly, in every direction, wanting someone to pick her up and hold her as if she were a baby crying for love.

The moonlight cast a silver glow upon her body, filling her with emptiness beyond explanation. She sat on the floor, shedding emotions that had been pent up for years.

And that was how Tim found her.

"Cassidy?" he said worriedly, quickening his pace to reach her. He knelt at her side. "What happened?"

He looked at the weaponry around him, and back at her with concern.

"Did someone do something to you?" he demanded, noticing the numchaku on the floor. He put a hand on her shoulder.

"No," she said softly, trembling. She leaned into his arms, sobbing quietly. "I'm sorry...I just..."

"No, it's alright," he assured her, wrapping his arms around her. "There's no shame in seeking comfort. It'll be alright, Cassidy."

Cassidy sobbed harder, pressing herself as far into his shirt as she could. Comfort? She clutched his shirt despairingly. This was comfort?

He pulled her far enough away to wipe the tears from her eyes. It was then that she understood. She blinked a few times, tryng to clear her vision.

"You can tell me about it when you're ready," he assured her, his arm still around her shoulders. "Let me help you back to the common room."

With that, and his arm still around her shoulders, he helped her gather her things, and helped her to the common room. Just as she was about to go upstairs, he called softly to her.

"Cassody, would you...want to go to the dance with me?" he asked timidly, raking a hand through his dark hair. His blue eyes smiled at her.

"I...I would be...delighted," she told him, a smile spreading across her face. "Just give me a few minutes..."

She went upstairs, and searched frantically for a dress in her trunk. She realized with a great panic that there was no dress....she had not packed one! Slumping onto her bed, she sighed. She shuffled through the trunk, and suddenly, she saw it.

A long, black dress, empire waist, flowing. A very simple gown, but just enough. Caisidy practically threw herself in the shower, dashed out, pulled on the dress, with some black dress shoes, and looked at her reflection.

"Oh gosh...my hair!" she practically wailed at the short, choppy strands. She ran to her trunk once more, the taffeta gown making soft swishing noises. "I know I have one in here somewhere..."

She finally pulled out a hair dryer, and plugged it in. Standing in front of the mirror, she tried awkwardly to style her hair, and succeeded to her satisfaction. The once choppy layers were now smooth, and curled under nicely, framing her face. Smiling, she raced downstairs to join Tim, who was waiting for her.

"Wow...you look really nice," he said, offereing her his arm. Blushing, she took it.

Just then, Kaze flew through the window, carrying a package. Casiidy took it, along with a note, and smiled at her albino owl. She opened the note:

Cassidy,

I forgot to pack these black gloves with your dress. I hope your Christmas was wonderful. I will be there in a few days to visit with you!

Love
Mom.

P.S. There is a present in here for you! Happy Christmas! I will bring the rest when I come up!

Cassidy smiled, and sent Kaze to her room with the gift. She slipped on the black gloves, which reached just past her elbows, and walked with Tim to the Great Hall.

Berii knew Andy was hiding something, she could feel it but she understood that he didn't want to talk about it. Her thoughts were interupted by Andy, talking about the dance.

"The dance..." Berii thought. Even though she didn't really like dances, she was a bit upset that she couldn't participate in it. She tried to think of something nice that she could do, so she wouldn't be depressed. "At least I can watch my friends!" Sure, it wasn't the best idea, but it made her lighten up just thinking about her friends.

"Actually, I'm not going to dance. I feel a little too lightheaded to dance, but I'll watch you guys. What about you? Are you done preparing for the dance?" she asked.

Andrew slouched in his chari. He really didn't feel like going, especially with the tension between him and Johann. Looking back at Berii, he smiled.

"I wasn't planning on going," he said. "I don't want to cause more of a problem with Johann."

THe boy's name tasted bitter on his tongue. He looked away from Berii, hoping she wouldn't be angry with him for being angry with Johann.

"Do you want any help downstairs or anything?" he asked, trying his best to be helpful. "I mean, since you're feeling lightheaded in everything....I'm not saying you're weak...I mean....ah....I dunno...."

He grimaced awkwardly, and looked away with flushed cheeks. He hoped Berii wouldn't think he was dumb.

Just then, Cassidy came through the porthole with Tim, and she dashed upstairs without a word to anyone. When she returned, Andrew smiled. She really did look quite wonderful.

"See you guys!" she smiled excitedly. Andrew noted that she was wearing shimmery lip gloss, and he raised an eyebrow at her. Lip gloss? That was going really far for her!

"Take care of her," Andrew said to Tim in a mock father's voice, crossing his arms, and looking at Tim sternly.

Tim just laughed and walked through the porthole with Cassidy.

The Great Hall was alive with music. Cassidy gazed around her at the beautiful decorations, and especially the wonderful ceiling. The moon gazed at the dance floor, causing a natural bright silver light on the floor. Tim showed Cassidy to the dance floor, and took her hands. He swung her around expertly.

While they were dancing to some quick tunes, Cassidy spotted Terra, and waved excitedly, her short, styled hair bobbing about her chin energetically. Before she could see Terra's reaction, Cassidy was swept up in Tim's arms once more as they continued to dance.

Berii felt upset that they didn't get along with her big brother, but she hid her feelings very well with a soft smile.

"Do you want to watch them with me? We can stay somewhere in the back so he won't notice you." she said, trying her best to sound cheerful. She then noticed Cassidy, she looked so excited, now she definately wants to see her dance with Tim.

"I'll just dress up in something cooler, it's kind of hot." she said, bowing before going upstairs.

When she came down, her hair was down and a little wet, she was wearing a short baby blue dress that was about four inches above the knees with ribbons near the edges, short, black boots with bells.

She felt a lot more lightheaded than earlier, she thought it was because of the cold water in the shower, but she didn't mind it.

"Sorry it took so long." she apologized.

"You didn't take long at all," Andrew told her reassuringly. He had changed as well. He wore a deep red button up dress shirt with a black tie, as well as some black slacks. He had also gelled his hair back into some haphazzard spikes. "I decided to go...I just really hope Johann won't sick any more Slytherins on me..."

He trailed off, knowing how much Johann meant to Berii, and thought it would just be better to keep his mouth shut. Noticing she looked a little dizzy, he offered her his arm to hold onto.

"You look really nice," he told her softly, as he helped her through the porthole.

"I'm not going." I said Will after Karli left.

"What do you mean?" Will asked.

"Cassidy, and Andy are going to be there, and it will just cause problems. Not to mention Berii, I don't know if I could look her in the eyes again." I said swallowing hard.

"But you told Karli you would make things right. And your running away from your problems again. Stand up and face them like a man. You were once a care-free boy, cause you faced all your troubles and found solutions. Now your a coward trying to run away at every opertunity." Will said getting alittle irritated.

"I'll go, but only to make things right. Not to dance, I don't deserve to dance with Karli or anybody right now." I said getting up.

"That much I'll agree on." Will said plainly. We exited the hospital wing to get ready for the dance. I had been busy getting ready to face Cassidy, Andy, and Berii and wat to say to them. When I had that figured out I got dressed.

I was the first one done in the whole school so I went down to the Great Hall and waited nervously for everyone else. I can do this, I can face them......but it's just so hard, it's hard than facing Karli's dad. To be honest with myself, I'd rather be in a death match with Karli's father right now than face everyone and admit I was wrong. I thought as I looked at the decorations.

The next person in the Great Hall was Jane. She walked over to my trembling bady and asked, "What's wrong?" I told her what I did to Cassidy and Andy, and then replied, "You messed things up big time now, Johann."

"I know, I need help I can't do this alone." I admitted.

"My only advice to you now Johann is tell the truth. The quicker you do it the better you'll feel afterwards. I still can't believe.....well I could believe, you paid a slytherin boy to beat up Andy." She said.

"It was only one boy I paid, but the jerk brought along his buddies, it would have done more good to beat him up myself, cause as least I wouldn't have brought buddies to help me." I said.

"Maybe you should have, maybe you should have just left him alone." She said gently.

"I want to test his limits." I stated.

"He's only a first year, Johann. Berii could take down anyone quicker than he can." She said.

"Know what I hate about talking to you?" I asked seriously. She looked at me with a confused expression, "You're always right, you always seem to know what's best." I said smiling.

Jane laughed and gave me a friendly punch on the arm, "You big goof! You had me worried that you hated my guts!" She said laughing. "See this is the side you should show everyone! Show people what Karli, Berii, Will and I see in you! Show thenm your only a big goof and you only try to help, but end up messing things up."

There I realized exactly how selfish I was acting around Cassidy and Andy. I was acting more like a slytherin than a Ravenclaw. I smiled warmly and said, "I guess I wasn't being exactly nice to them was I?"

"No you weren't. You were acting like a slytherin!" She said laughing.

"Yeah that's what I just now realized." I said smiling. "I'm a Ravenclaw, not a slytherin."

"Right you are!" Jane said laughing.

OOC: Andy and Cassidy are both second years, Raichu Master. ;) And the only reason Andy seems less than able to defend himself is because Cassidy can kick his butt!! Hehe....

IC: Cassidy was sitting down with Tim after a lot of dancing. While catching her breath, she looked around.

And then he came into the room.

Cassidy frowned slightly as Johann walked in, looking a little nervous. She looked away. There was no way she was going to cause problems and ruin everyone's good time. She tirned to Tim instead, and they started chatting.

OOC: I'll finish later!!

"Hey Tim." I said smiling. He smiled back and we both shook each other hands.

"I see you've come to apologize to Cassidy. Am I right, Johann?" Tim said laughing.

"That I have." I said nodding my head.

"Good man." He said reassuring me. Then he turned to speak to the both of Cassidy and me, "I'll leave you two alone." He said smiling. He then walked over and started talking to some other students.

I rubbed my hands together to warm them up, cause they suddenly got icy cold. "Where do I begin?" I said smiling, trying to make her at least smile. That didn't work so I sat down beside Cassidy, and stared at the dance floor for awhile. "The reason I paid that slytherin to beat Andrew up was because if he's going to fall in love with my little sister, Berii, then I had to make sure he could defend himself. I never intended him to be ganged up on, I only paid one, and told him to take care of Andy by himself. Should have known better to trust a Slytherin. Would have done better to deal with the matter myself, that it would. I just wanted to make sure he was capable enough protect them both. As you can tell I'm very fond of Berii and she's very much like a little sister to me, and I just wanted to make sure Andy was right for her. Guess I screwed that up, didn't I?" I said starting my apology. "I'm sorry for meddling in someone elses business, it was wrong. And if I had a chance to go back and change it, I would. But I can't and I regret what I have done." I said apologizing. "But I guess I should be apologizing to Andy and not you."

Keep going your doing good so far! Flame encouraged.

Thanks, I need some positive inoput. I replied. "Now for my apology to you." I said clapping my hands together and the rubbing them slowly. "I've acted like a jerk around you. I wasn't the nicest person to you. I acted like a Slytherin, which I definitly am not. Do you know what being in Ravenclaw means? It means your loyal and fun-loving and very adventurous, also your brave, bold, and very bone headed, yes, describes me quite nicely." I said sincerely. "Do you really want to know what Karli sees in me?" I asked not waiting for an answer. "I don't really know myself. But here's my guess, all though I may screw up big time, I always try my best in tight situations, like say apologizing. And even though I mess things up, I do it with the best of intentions, although I might not be needed." I explained adding alittle bit of scarcasim a times. "That's my guess, I'm not sure though, you might have to ask her..." I said as music started playing again.

"I know your probably still mad at me. But maybe, would you like to dance with me.....maybe?" I asked. I looked at her scowling face and I said, "Guess not....I'll just go hang out over there then." I pointed to where Will was sitting, "I'm truly sorry for the harm I caused you and your brother."

As I waslked away, Tim passed me and said, "How did it go?"

"Don't know, I did all the talking." I said doubtfully.

"I see." Tim said walking passed me and shaking his head in agreement.

I passed Andy too and I repeated the apology to him. Then after I was done, I said, "Now if you'll excuse me, i'll be sitting down now." I then sat beside Jane and Will and we started to chat about the apology and what Cassidy would probably think now.

I saw Johann, and walked over to him.
"I saw you talking with Cassidy....how did it go?" I asked, pulling up a chair.

"I don't know, I did all the talking." I admitted. "I hope she forgives me." I added.

I then turned look at her, she looked very beautiful in the dress, and her hair was pretty as well.

What are you waiting for? Compliment her on her dress! Flame said excitedly.

I am! Don't rush me! I replied. I then turned my attention to Karli again and swallowed hard. "You look very beautiful in that dress, Karli. It looks very good on you." I said complimenting her on her dress. How did I do? I asked Flame.

Did pretty dang good for your first time, let's wait and see what she says about it. Flame said still very excited.

That's what I'm worried about, what happens if she doesn't like the compliment? I replied to his comment. I tryed not to act nervous, I did a pretty good job of it except for my hands twitching alittle bit.

Will looked astound that I complimented her, I don't think he took me serious when I said I would compliment her more.

I raised a eyebrow.
"Thanks..." I said slowly.

OOC: Whoa....holy power playing, Raichu Master....but it's alright this time I guess...though that wasn't how I was planning to have Cassidy react....erm...okay then....

IC: Cassidy watched Johann leave, still upset with him. He had apologized to her before, and broken her trust twoce. Needless to say, she was not planning on giving him another chance. He would have to prove himself to her. He would have to prove that he was as genuine as he claimed to be.

Tim distracted her with some more dancing, which she really enjoyed. Cassidy had never been one to dance, but somehow, Tim brought the dancer out in her. Despite all that had happened, she had to admit that she was having a good time.

A slow song came on, and Cassidy blushed, starting to walk towards the row of chairs against the nearest wall. Tim halted her with his hand on her arm.

"What? Am I really that scary?" he teased.

"Huh?" Cassidy raised an eyebrow, confused.

"Come dance with me," he said gently, smiling. "Please?"

"Oh..." Cassidy realized, and did not object as he pulled her back to the floor.

They started to dance, one of Tim's arms around her waist, and the other held her hand. Cassidy was glad that the light was dim, because she was blushing like crazy.

***

Andrew shook his head after Johann left. He didn't believe a word that guy said. How could he? Trust was a precious thing, not only to Andrew, but to his whole family. Trust grew deep from within him, and when it was broken, both he and Cassidy had a hard time trusting the one who broke their trust.

He sighed and looked at his shoes. He knew he was putting Berii in a tough spot, especially after what Johann had said about her being like a little sister. Looking over at Berii, his eyes dulling with deep confusion and sadness, he spoke from his heart, hoping she would understand.

"Berii, I'm really sorry," he told her, floding his hands. "I think....maybe I should step out of the picture for a little while, until this whole thing dies down with me and Johann. I am going to have a really hard time calling him a friend after what he did, and it is going to be even more diffecult to trust him again. And I know you two are really tight...and we've only really just met...but I really like you, and I don't want to ruin that by coming between you and your 'older brother.'"

He looked at her, a deep, overwhelming sense of sorrow coming over his expression. He looked like he was going to cry, but refrained by looking away quickly.

OOC: I only power-played once, and that's when I made your character have mad expression. And as for Tim, he's a NPC, meaning anyone can control him, Will is no longer a NPC cause I posted his profile at the beginning of this rp...But okay thanks for forgiving me! :)

I drank some of my Butterbeer, and looked at the others.
"I dont think you should try talking to Cassidy again, until tommorow" I said to Johann.

She completely ignored my compliment! I yelled in my mind.

Calm down, and quit making asumptions. You don't know what she heard and what she doesn't want to say. Le'ts just see what happens.

I then turned my attention back to Karli. "Yeah I think it would be wise to avoid her. I don't think she quite trust me." I said. I then looked into her eyes and almost melted out of my chair if wasn't for me holding onto the chair with my hands. I tapped my feet to the music, and said, "Man....I should be out there having fun...but I have no one to dance with."

There you go, Romeo! Just play it cool! Flame said laughing in my mind.

"will you dance with me?" I heard Will say to Jane. Jane nodded and let Will lead her out to the dance floor, leaving me and Karli to talk.

"Then why dont you ask someone?" I chuckled.
