I'm done with your body, Johann. Flame said to me. I agreed and we switched. My muscles turned back to normal, my hair was neatly brushed down and back to it's black color. My fingernails turned back to normal, and my face went from a unhuman peaceful expression to gentle smiling look. "Back in my own body. Feels good." I said to myself noticing I was in the courtyard. "Time to do something I haven't done in a long time." I said heading up to the Ravenclaw dorm. I took out a black case and went out to the sandy beach of the lake. There I found a rock that was comfortable to sit on.

I open the case and brought out my violin. I looked out at the peaceful lake and my eyes, for the first, grew to the inhuman peace Flame demonstarted. I flipped on my cowboy hat and I started to play a soothing country love song, the song filled the air, Zach trotted over and laid by myside listening to the song. Flame even joined the group of animals just laying around listening to me play.

Suddenly, I heard music. Scanning the area, I saw to my suprise that it was Johann, playing a violin.
The music floated around, through the trees, and I saw animals coming close to him...
I have to go swim. There is NO way I can't resist..... That music...... Reminds me of ocean waves... Curling up and down, bringing little marine creatures into the sand... Water....
"Um, bye guys!" I said quickly, and started to run, in a trance, to were Johann was standing, down the hill...
OOC: For you guys who have seen HP 3, 2, and 1, you know what the lake and other stuff looks like. ^^

Andy blinked a few times after Flame left, feeling a little confused. He was glad to have Johann's blessing...hopefully there would be no more problems.

Love? he thought to himself. What a strong word, a word he had never been able to give to anyone outside his family. Surely he enjoyed Berii's company. He cared about her and for her a great deal...but love? He'd have to get to know her better, and be very certain before he told her such.

Blushing a little, he noticed Terra looking longingly at the lake. e wondered what it was that fascinated her so much about it in the first place. For one, it was nearly frozen, and he dared not think of all the creatures, good or bad, that lived in its depths.

Stuffing his bare hands in his pocket, he slouched contently on the bench.

"Did you all enjoy the dance last night? I didn't get to talk to everyone...just wondering," he asked softly, squinting against the cold air.

Ripples all around her essence. Cassidy felt them all. Students walking, running, sleeping, they all had different vibrations in her conciousness. She could not read their minds, only feel their life forces, but she did not want mind reading power. Yes, her magical ability increased her meditative concious, but she did not wish to push it further. Thoughts were meant to be secret, and secret they would remain.

I'm not gone yet...the dark voice whispered within her. You had best believe that I will not rest until Karli has been destroyed. Even though your friends have weakened me...I will not rest...I will not give up....and I will get stronger working through you!"

Cassidy's eyes snapped open in the dojo. For once, her expression showed an intense fear, but she covered it up. Her further meditations would have to be spent working on a mental block, as well as physical, she decided. Gathering her things, and changing back into her normal clothes, she exited the room, and went to Gryffindor Tower to prepare for her mother's arrival. She was somewhat excited to see her, but a part of her wished she could not come.

The last thing Cassidy wanted to see was her mother's disappointment at Cassidy's lack of emotion. Her mother had frowned upon it, while her father had not noticed it at all. If anything, he encouraged it. It was the only way Cassidy knew how to control her anger, and after spending a while in meditation today, she felt nothing, her pale, blank expression an outward visibility of that.

Kaze dropped a letter on Cassidy's lap as she sat on her bed. He looked at her urgently, hoping she would open it right away. Cassidy pet her albino owl on the head, and scratched his neck lovingly. She then proceeded to open the letter.

Cassidy,

Your mother should be arriving any time today. Someone will come and get you or something...however they do it at that school of yours. I hope you are well, and I look foward to your return home for summer holiday.

Dad

The rough, scratchy handwriting was as devoid of emotion as she was. She put the letter away, and decided to go outside, trying to push the words of the strange man out of her mind. The tone of voice had been different this time. It had blended with her own voice, as if she herself had begun to meld with him. She scowled at the thought, and put on some winter clothes. Her boots, knit cap, and winter coat were all she needed, and when they were securely in place, she ventured outside.

Andy was sitting with Terra and Karli on a bench in a courtyard. She walked over to join them, without bearing the smile she usually wore.

"Hey everyone," she said kindly, though the only way it showed was through her voice. "How are you all today?"

Andrew looked over her shoulder, to a spot near the entrance of the castle. He squinted, and then his eyes grew huge.

"Mum!" he exclaimed, and leapt up from his seat. He bolted over to where she was coming up the pathway, looking very excited. He motioned for everyone to come over, so he could introduce them.

I, myself, was sort of in a trance. I kept laying song after song, that I knew, not noticing the animals around me listening. This feels so great! After all that happened, this is just what the doctor ordered. I thought peacefully to myself as I continued to play nonstop. I took time to look around, now I was starting to attrach a crowd of students to my playing, most of them were girls, but that didn't stop me from playing and ignoring their whispers. Even Will and Jane were there.

I heard the music and turned around. Soraya trotted over to where the muis was coming from.
"Its calling..." I thought uncontrolably. I transformed into a falcon, and flew over to the music. I landed on a stump, and Soraya layed down beside Zach.

Actaully, I just wanted to swim... The music made me want to do that, along with my 'Siren' senses.
Edging away from the crowd that was now forming, I silently crept towards the far end of the lake, the part near the forest.

I looked around and saw that I attrached half the forest and the school to my music. Dumbledore and all the other teachers were even there. After a few minutes of playing more, an electric guitar interupted my playing. I stopped temporarily to see. It was Randy, and he continued the melody, I smiled as he made his way to me, he said, "Can let you have all the attention."

He winked and I got to my feet and continued playing, with Randys guitar matching my melody perfectly. On of his buddys brought his acoustic down and started following perfectly too. Someone, wasn't sure who, started playing drums on stups that sounded like a drum set, it was now complete, we had a concert. Although I kept the song selection just to soothing country love songs, the combination of all the intruments, lifted my spirit higher than just one violin could ever do. I felt lighter than air, as I continued playing.

I sighed as I took a small rock, and made a very small hole in the ice, watching Johann, with some others play music. To be honest, I liked the music, but I wasn't obbessed with it.
Concentrating on my work, I managed to make a hole big enough for me to swim through.
Pausing, I threw the rock away, and looked over at the crowd.

I took flight, and soared up high into the air. I saw some owls heading towrads the music. I flew over to them, and we flew side by side to the music.

I shook my head. Johann, and the others were attracting a lot of attention.
A lot of people....
But, I preffer to be alone right now.
Or at least with some ohter water dwellers.
Standing up, I decided I wouldn't bother with taking my robes, scarf, shoes, and socks off. I mean, if I went in, they would be wet, but then, when I was back in my normal form, they'd only drip a little, and I don't mind water, so any water temprature, and sure, the transformation would hurt a bit more, but-
Interupting my thinking, I quickly, and quietly, dove into the water, shivering slightly.
I was ready.
Good thing the water was dark, because I needed to be..... Alone.

Breathing in water, my body in my 'other' form had now gotten used to the chilly temprature.
Serene and calm, I began swimming down.

I started to drench in sweat as I continued. After about 15 minutes, I silenced the others, for one last solo. I played strong and hard, putting every ounce of emotion I had into the song. After I played the last note, my arms gave out and fell limp to the side of my body. My shirt, jeans, and socks were soaked with sweat, there wasn't a dry spot on me.

Dumbledore was the first to break out in aplause. The rest of the crowd followed his example. It then dawned on me that there was a crowd, I noticed it but it didn't really sink in. WHAT!? I wanted to play by myself, I didn't want anyone near me! This was supposed to be my time alone! I thought angered by the crowd, but I didn't let it show on my face. I simply bowed and smiled. I packed my violin up and pushed my way through the crowd, my face getting dark, but not dark enough for anyone to take notice. I then sat down on a bench in the courtyard, since it was empty, and tryed to clear my mind again.

Don't be a spoil sport, your music is wonderful. Why do you want to keep it to yourself? Flame said.

I wanted to be alone. Playing violin was the only joy I had left to myself, not yet spoiled by Sabastian. And I was going to enjoy it by myself. But I see I can't even do that, with out corruption. I replied still angry. This time I knew that the anger was my anger and not Sabastian.

It's just so enchanting, very powerful. It's almost like a spell of some sort. You can't blame all of us for what sounds good to the ears. Flame said still calm.

I'm sorry Flame, I just wanted to be alone thats all. I said putting my head in my hands.

I transformed, once all the owls landed. Feather soon landed, with a wooden flute. I took it from her, and looked at it. I knew how to play one, my mother had taught me. She used to play it for me when I was little. I didnt know if I would play it. I just stood there staring at it.

Wait, maybe the crowds gone now... Crossing my fingers, I dove up, letting only my head be seen. I noticed that there was someone still there... Johann.
Should I say hello? Or does he want to be alone?...
"Hello, Johann..." I called, waving slightly. Geez, now my voice was ultimately changing.... At least, when I was in this form.

Cassidy and Andrew were too busy welcoming their mother to take notice of the concert going on. They hadn't seen her since they left for Hogwarts, and needless to say, the missed her greatly.

"Hey there, you two!" their mother exclaimed, gathering them into a big hug. She beamed at them proudly as Hagrid stepped behind them to carry a small bag of luggage into the castle. "How have you been, my dears?"

"Great! Hogwarts is wonderful!" Andrew exclaimed. They walked into the castle after Hagrid.

"Yes," Cassidy agreed, her face pale expressionless. "I've been learning a lot..."

"That is so wonderful to hear!" their mother said happily. "Now, you're both in Gryffindor now? That's so great! I was a Ravenclaw in my day. Wonderful house, though Gryffindor is great also!"

They chatted for a while, Cassidy and Andrew leading her up the winding stairs to Gryffindor Tower. Cassidy felt a little downcast, not really sure why, but she had always been a little intimidated of her mother.

Cassidy and her mother shared many physical characteristics. Her mother had the same, ova shaped face, and bright, light blue eyes. Her hair was darker though, a deep brown, long and curly. She had it tied up in a bun for the moment. Their mother shared her height with Andrew. They were both very tall, leaving Cassidy in the dust. Cassiyd often resented having to be looked down upon.

Their mother had seen and inspected Andrew's room for cleanliness, and once satisfied, she wanted to see Cassidy's room. Cassidy led her up the staircase to the room she shared, and her mother's once cheery expression was tainted with a slight frown.

"Oh, dearm" she said, patting Cassidy on the top of her head. "You know, there are some really easy spells to take care of all that dust!"

With a few waves of her wand, the dust was gone, Cassidy's trunk organized according to her mother's standards, and her bed made neatly. Her mother pocketed her wand, and smiled proudly.

"I'm sure you'll get it dear," she assured Cassidy.

She and Andrew moved down the stairs, but Cassidy hung back. She kicked her trunk, knocking it back out of order, and then joined them downstairs.

"Are you hungry, Mum?" Andrew asked, as they settled in the common room. "You must be after such a long trip."

"Oh, I could sure use with some dinner," their mother agreed. "But first, I want you to open your Christmas gifts!"

She showed them the package Hagrid had carried for her, and opened it, revealing a few presents for each of her children. Cassidy and Andrew accepted them gratefully, and opened them.

Cassidy received a few extra textbooks on spells and potions, and frowned. Her mother must have received her report by now. She had passed everything with flying colors! She set the books down, and opened her last gift. It was a new quill, parchment, and ink. She aid thank you politely, and watched Andrew open his presents.

Andrew was very excited to receive his gifts. His mother had given him some splendid things. A broom care kit, a new cauldron, and a few Quiddich pins were among his favorites.

"Wow...these are great! Thanks, Mum," he said, pinning the Quiddich pins to his robes.

"Your father got you some gifts too," their mother said, her voice a little less excited at the mention of them. She handed them a present each. "I'm afraid they won't help you much here at Hogwarts, but he seemed to think you might need them."

Cassidy opened her gift, a little more excited. Inside was a wall scroll, with her favorite phrase written in kanji on it: Yanagi ni Kaze, which meant "willow at wind." She let a smile escape her lips in the safety of her family's presence, as she also unwrapped a beautiful Japanese kimono-type dress. It was deep blue with a moon and star print on it, and the wide, silk belt was a beautiful silver. Also included was a pair of traditional Japanese shoes. She felt an overwhelming sense of happiness filling her heart, which she accepted for the time being. A note enclosed read as follows:

Happy Christmas Cassidy.

It's about time I let you be feminine, though I do think your toughness is certainly important and should not be given up. I thought you might like this for some time when you have to get dressed up. Enjoy.

Dad

Andrew's gifts were a set patches for his gi, sommemorating his progress. His father had not awarded them to him previously because of his rash nature, and he wondered why he had sent them now. Also enclosed was a new pair of numchaku, because he had broken his earlier in the fall. His final gift was a wall hanging and a bonsai tree. He looked very pleased to have received them.

"Shall we go to dinner now?" their mother asked, sending their things up to their rooms with a wave of her wand. "I would like very much to see all my old professors once more."

They headed down to the Great Hall, their mother leading the way in her Long, flowing green dress, and her black wizzarding robe.

I saw Johann cry, and I walked over to him.
"Whats wrong?" I asked him, sounding worried, now taking the flute off my mind. I set the wooden flute down beside me.

Seeeing that he didn't reply, I felt a pang of sadness well up inside me.
"Bye guys..." I whispered sadly, and went slightly underwater, so that only my eyes and the top of my head showed.
Biting my lip, for I did NOT want to cry, I just... Watched.

"I don't really know, to be honest, Karli. I sat down trying to get some time alone and just started crying..." I said, it was the truth I had no clue why I had started crying. I dried my eyes and asked, "What did Flame give you? I saw him with you, but I didn't dare get close."

"He gave me the gift to see things as they really are" I said, smiling.
