MISFITS

"Who says I'm interested in what the girls think?"

"Oh, I'm sorry man! I didn't mean to cramp your style! If you want Mark, he's yours for the taking!" Toby laughed. This was just getting better and better. Toby stopped when Grims gave him a funny look and pulled him close. Toby's heart stopped. Oh god.

"Baby, you know I didn't me--" He was caught midsentance by a tongue in his mouth. He tried to pull away but Grims was too strong. The kiss was not a long one but it didn't stop Toby feeling extremely violated. He didn't get another word in before Grims punched Toby, forcing him to the pavement. He quickly wiped his mouth and touched where the fist met his jaw. It was... a layer of skin had been shaved off by.. by what? Toby looked at his feet to see small flames licking the pavement.

"Ass hole! You burned me!" He touched the wound again. It stung a little. "You... you burnt me? Freak, what the hell?" Toby quickly stood to his feet and shoved Grims forward. The force he put was only meant to push him a foot forward but Grims went flying, towards the centre and hitting the wall next to the girl, the lesbianic one. Toby stepped back a few and stared at his hands in disbelief. What. The. Hell.

Grims hit the wall with some serious force. He grunted as gravity peeled him off and he fell to the ground. With some effort, he rose to his feet, wiping a thin river of blood that came from a cut in his bottom lip. "You. Little. Prick." Grims' temper was completely re-ignited...literally. He tromped towards Toby with small flames exploding with each step. "Ya know, I was going to let you off the hook, since you're kinda cute. But," he cracked his knuckles again and sparks flew, but Grims didn't care; his main focus was beating Toby to a pulp, "It looks like I'll just have to do this the old fashion way."

With an impossibly fast lunge for someone his size, Grims swung his right fist and connected with Toby's ribs, causing the boy's shirt to explode into flames were Grims' fist made contact. What the hell? Grims went in for a second punch, this time to Toby's chin, when he noticed his entire left arm was engulfed in...fire?! A split-second reaction allowed Grims to re-direct his fist to pass right beside Toby's head. "What...what's happening to me?!"

(ooc: so much has happened, I can already tell it's gonna be hard to keep up with you guys -_-; )

Kylie let out a high pitched scream as Toby shoved Grims and he flew - literally flew - through the air. Tears started welling up in her eyes as she ran over to Toby, her rain boots clomping on the concrete with each step.

"Please don't fight!" she whimpered pathetically.

Unsure if he heard her, she reached out and grabbed his upper arm with both of her (much smaller) hands. When her fingers touched his skin, she felt a small jolt in her chest, and her heart began to speed up. She cringed slightly at this alarming new feeling, but continued to weakly grasp his arm.

Shade watched in shock as all this happened. Taking a deep breath she ran and stood between the two. "Can you two stop acting like a bunch of *******s and stop fighting!" she yelled glaring at the both of them these were the first words she had said since they started community service.

"Holy Sh--!"

Chuck started at the sight of the small flames flickering around Grim, but stopped when he started the fly over his head. Whipping out his pokéballs, and screaming "Drake GO!" at the top of his lungs, Chuck summoned his flying pokémon and jumped on his back. He was about to leave the scene of this amazing, supernatural brawl when he saw Grim's flaming fist, and decided it would be better if he could help the innocent's out as much as he could.

"Hey up here!" he called down to Kylie, who for some reason was clinging onto Toby.

He was going to set her down on the roof and go get the others, Shade and the guys as well, even though he knew that it looked like he was displaying favoritism by picking her up first.

"Hey she's closest!" He called out to everyone feeling as if the people near him were being judgy, though no one was really saying anything, except for the voices in his head.

Kellyn woke up to find everyone gone. Lightning strikes and I'm the only one left, he thought. He scanned his body for anything that happened to him. Nothing serious, minor scrapes and such but he felt different. His arms and legs ached like hell. He stood up, everyone must've left, he thought.

He walked to his house and opened the door. He laid his bag down and unzipped his uniform. I hope nothing too bad happened to anyone, he thought. He walked to his bed and laid down, gradually falling to sleep.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kellyn woke and took his shower, the aches were there but the hot water soothed them. He grabbed his and walked out of the house heading for the site. He entered to find people arguing. I'll wait till someone notices me, he thought.
Toby had enough time to quickly dodge the blow to his chest, but not enough for Grims' fiery arm to burn a hole through his orange jumpsuit. Toby yelled and stepped backwards only to see another arm narrowly miss his face. As Grims hesitated to stare at the fire that was building around his arms, Toby took the chance to push him down into his gut and into the cement, most likely winding him. The blow was much stronger than he hoped like before, this time Grims own jumpsuit was cut by some imaginary force. Toby stepped back again. What was this? He felt someone grip his arm and as skin touched skin, he felt a strange feeling surge through him. What he had done was wrong, violence didn't solve problems. What? That wasn't like Toby. Not at all.
"Oh hey, sorry man. I shouldn't have done that. Let's not fight about this, we're scaring the little lady," he motioned his head towards Kylie. "No hard feelings?" He put his hand out to offer to help Grims off the ground. This was a weird feeling for Toby but he felt good.
Kellyn stared at the two fighters when one of them, Grims, he thought, had had his hand burst into flames and tried to punch Toby. Toby dodged but he was suddenly acting nice, Well thats new, he thought.
Kylie blinked a few times, unsure that she had heard him correctly. Did this boy just apologize? Had she just been referred to as 'the little lady'? Kylie suddenly felt guilty - she had completely misjudged this boy, perhaps he was good after all. As Toby offered Grims his hand, Kylie relinquished her death grip on his upper arm and released a large sigh of relief, for a moment completely failing to acknowledge the continuous oddities in each of the people that surrounded her.
-In his dream, Seto explored the now frozen tundra. The cold feeling he had before had almost dissapeared, almost as if the ice he had kept in had been making him feel that way. In the distance, he saw a figure walking towards him. As it got closer, and he looked harder, he saw a familiar face, and ran towards it, eyes wide. "Shadu? Is that you? How did you get in my dream?" The Lucario answered him, which suprised him but then again this was a dream so anything could happen. "This world you see is not a dream. Rather, it is the source of your power." Seto looked at Shadu as if she was crazy, speaking once more."Source of what power? Do you know whats happening to me?" The Lucario paused thoughtfully before talking again. "Yes, I do. Unfortunately I am not at Liberty to say. But I will tell you this; you have been gifted w-" At that moment her voice went mute. He couldn't hear a word she had said. As he tried harder to hear, he noticed something cold was creeping up his legs. It was the ice! It was gradually encasing him, and no matter how he fought, he could not free himself. Shadu only looked at him and smiled, mouthing the words,"We will meet again." Seto saw this but fought still, shouting her name once more before he was fully incased in ice, at which point he awoke. He saw the scene in front of him, the two boys fighting. One of their arms seemed to be on fire, the other had a girl clinging to his arm. Seto felt something cold behind him, and turned to see that where he had been leaning was covered with frost. He backed away from the wall catiously still looking at his hands. Shadu had said that he had been "gifted" whatever the hell that meant, but it definently had something to do with these wierd powers.-
Shade shook her head at the two bots before turning and walking away sitting under a tree not far from Seto just looking up at the sky since she had nothing better to do, other than smoke again but she didn't want the probation officer to yell at her again. That woman was the only thing that could make Shade afraid.
Rump throbbing and lightheaded, Alex slowly opened her eyes to the quickly brightening sky. If that pointless storm had caused Alex to get a bruise on her butt…her teeth clenched at the thought, as she remained with her whole body against the miserable ground. If any of her next hook-ups saw a giant welt on her flawless butt, they'd probably think she's been raped or something and assume she was dirty.
"Puss block to the extreme," Alex angrily thought before bringing her focus back to the current situation. She could see the other felons rising anew, and waited for one of the hotter ones to attend to her.
After probably around a minute, still on the ground unaided by any hero, she hopped to her feet in a very dramatic fashion, huffing frustratedly and giving a hmph.
"Douches," she muttered under her breath, watching the others that had gotten up leave the scene without concern for her. One of the dudes, a hot blond one, drove away in a Porsche. Probably stolen. Alex bit her tongue yearningly, imagining the lavishing interior and the things that could be done on it as she brushed the dirt off of her sore rear in its tacky orange covering. She changed out of her nasty service outfit and into cuter and skimpier clothes in the Center before she took to the public. On the west side of Route 6 sat Kanto's ocean/sea/biggest lake. Releasing Shelby, the betch of a Lapras, into the water, the barely-legal chick reluctantly climbed onto Shelby's back. The Lapras rolled her eyes in a bratty fashion but otherwise hardly reacted and took off towards Celadon.
Olivia's room was everything that could be described as girly- the carpet was covered by shaggy lime green and pink rugs and the bedding's polka dots matched. Photos of Alex's friend as a child and a teenager covered the walls, herself being the center of nearly half of them. Bead-drapes in the shape of stars hung on the inside of her door; the curtains over the petite windows were also polka dotted.
"Liv, I'm embarrassed for you." As tacky as this room was, the guest room which Alex was occupying was still worse. "I keep forgetting that a 13 year old is sharing this room with you."
"Well you used to think it was sick…" Olivia, with her fair skin and dark hair sitting in a casual ponytail, sounded a little hurt by her friend's words, sitting on hot pink loveseat in the corner. But her tone changed, determined to appease her leader slash best friend. "Plus, if my room's so innocent and childish, my parents would never think I'm like…screwing around, you know?" Suddenly, Pip, Alex's Emolga, burst into the room, a Vodka bottle clenched in its large teeth. He was followed by alarming shrieks. Oliviva's mother, who clearly contributed to most Olivia's genes, followed suit and was in the room, her face red.
"Alexandra! Your-"
"It's Alexis actually, Sharon. But continue." Pip was now seated on the bed, attempting to pry the cork out of the bottle with its teeth.
"Your Pokemon-"
"Oh my gosh, I'm terribly sorry," Alex started in an apologetic fashion and as if she just realized something. "Pip, you're so rude- find a glass!" And the two were back out as abruptly as they had entered. Alex's lips were curved in a satisfied smirk, and Olivia attempted to mirror it a bit too forcibly.
"Anything going on tonight?" dear Alexis inquired as she approached the pink vanity, fixing her already-fixed hair. Of course she was referring to parties. She already knew the answer though.
"It's a weekday, Al-"
"Hey have you got any dope? My body's killing me. I was basically electrocuted by lightning at whatever-you-call-it today." Her statement was equipped with fitting dramatic expressions and hand gestures, yet her eyes were still locked on the mirror.
It turns Olivia's stores were out, as was her sympathy for the drama queen. So Alex headed to bed, unsatisfied with the uneventful night and still aching, though she had barely given the event from earlier any thought.
---
The next morning was tainted with light rain that threatened to frizz hair and blur makeup.
The surf over to the Community Center was wavier than usual. Alex had borrowed a bright yellow umbrella from Olivia's pushover mother, but while her head was covered, her favorite jeans were quickly retaining water, though thankfully the hated orange uniform in her purse was staying dry under the umbrella. Shelby was unfazed by the weather.
The other criminals were gathered by the door, some of them seemingly in a fight or something. She paid nothing attention except for the weird feeling in her stomach- weird as in ominous, not upset or growling. Standing against the rough wall under the overhanging roof, the girl cradled her abdomen. The day was starting out really crappy.
Kellyn watched the stuff happen, What the hell happened, Grims' with fire hands and Toby acting NICE! It was too odd, he thought. He walked over to where Seto and Shade were under a tree. He watched as another girl, Alex, walked into the center.
-Seto was finally able to calm down, deciding to deal with this ice stuff later. He had always been the loner, and still was, its not like it bothered him or anything. He had always been one to not give a crap if someone "wanted to be friends" with him, and had always scared those people off. In a way, it felt good, as if he had intimidation on his side, but part of him regretted it. That was long ago, and he had almost given up on people by now. He glanced at one of the trees in front of the center, and saw a girl there. HE was pretty sure he had seen her before, but he didn't know her name or anything. In a way, he could see that they were the same, in a sense. They were both pretty antisocial, and didn't really have friends. He decided he might as well talk to her, as she would probably be way less annoying than those other people. He walked over to the girl, who seemed to be staring at the sky, sitting down. He looked down at her, his eyelids half open, showing he was in a relaxed mood. As he spoke, he had little emotion in his voice, but it wasn't completely void of it.-
"Hello random person, may I ask first your name, and second why are you sitting alone?"
Shade looked up as a boy came over and asked her to introduce herself and asked why she was sitting alone. "My names Shade and I'm alone because all of them over there are just annoying as hell" she said bluntly.
Seeing that the fighting had started to sizzle down, and his attempt at being a hero for Kylie fell flat, Chuck jumped off of his Dragonite and called him back into his pokéball. Pocketing his buddy, and seeing that Alexis had arrived, he made his way away from the crazy group he had been floating above, and walked to the late loner.
"And I thought we were the interesting ones..."
He said to the dirty blond girl who looked like she had more experience with men then Shade and Kylie combined. The truth is, badasses gravitate towards badasses, and in Chuck's mind, this was a chick who didn't look at explosions.
Although his eyes were focused on Alex's face, Chuck couldn't help but wonder what had happened to the probation officer. He also couldn't help but think they were all screwed once she came.
Kellyn laid on the grass, thinking. Did we all get powers, he thought, Kylie or someone had to make Toby bee nice, the fire hands, everything was happening so fast.
He looked at Seto and Shade who were now talking. He smiled, I love how they didn't notice me.
A deep voice coerced Alex out of her puzzling daze, and suddenly that black dude was standing in front of her. What was she even doing? The yellow umbrella was still hovering over her head, though she was safely under the roof, and she was sitting so that the light sheet of water falling from the roof was pouring into her shoes. She hadn't taken anything earlier, had she...?
Her body wriggled so that she was leaning against the building, but at least standing, and the umbrella was put away. For once Alex was caught off guard.
"And what makes me so interesting?" Though her voice was soft, there was still some bitingly flirtatious tone laced in it. A perfect eyebrow was arched on her forehead- Alex was back on her A-game.
-Seto shifted his position, leaning on the other side of the tree. He smirked at the girl's reply. He had been right about this girl. He also thought that hose people were annoying as hell, they were too loud heh, idiots. -
"What do you think of me Shade? Am I also annoying? From what I can see, you seem to be like me. But I wonder what happened to make you like this? Do not tell me, because I don't want to pry. But am I annoying?"
Shade looked at him a slight smirk on her face. "I don't find you annoying in the least, and you seem similar to me. Being antisocial is an example, and your the first person to ask why I'm like this and your not prying" she said just stating the facts nothing more nothing less as she usually did until she warmed up to someone a thing that so far had never happened.
