You mean mod tig XD she became VP after becoming a mod, so it wasnt the presidency that gave her modship ^^ *pokes tig*
But in the art gallery, its more about quality of pictures, rather than posts etc ^^

im gessing your average member will never get picked as a mod.

eg. jason

hes been here since new PC started ad still not a mod.

same with me, iv been here for ages and tryed to become a mod.
 
Mods are few and far between, considering the number of members PC has.
Being incredibly active (in a helpful way, not pointless or spam) will add to your consideration, but requests to become a mod arent allowed ^^;
 
I'd like everyone who wants to be a moderator to do a little simple thing for me.

Go to the Breeders Corner. Now, there are 5 complete stickies there. The sixth I'm in the middle of working on (the TM Breeding Chains). All I want you to do is read them. All 5. No skipping parts. Now, if you think you can do something like that, THEN I'll consider you worthy to be a moderator.

Harsh? Maybe, but that's one of the many things us mods need to do. A lot of work.

no offense, but you sound like a suck up for saying "Mods are awesome!! My dream is to be one here one day!! :D" sure makes you look kinda silly. And dont ask to be one, or you will have no hope at all... thats why i have no hope of being a mod.

acually, back when I was reletively new, Jason was a mod at the romhacking areas, but he got fired for some reason and later banned. I'm sure he deserves a second chance, but I don't know if it'll happen sometime soon.

What, we, the Webbies, want to know is why someone that had never visited the forum got it. We've seen her in there very little, and we would want someone that goes there to be a mod. There were better canidates, and you can't say that they don't want to hire someone new, because they've done a lot of it.

Webbies is, or at least was, quite an active area, which requires a mod that actually knows their stuff.

IIRC, Andy said he had 3 or 4 chances, and lost them each time. :/

DF, I like the mods of WD I feel bad for her having to read all this but look

When I came back to PC on May 15th, 2004 I only posted in Webmaster Discussion for the longest time. I met most my PC friends there, and well frankly I don't think we should just put a nice person who knows how to moderate there.

I mean there are so many places where she could do a much better job, and not have to go in my favorite forum and not have someone modded that actually has a site.

Everyone is saying Greg should, yeah he did do a good job however he did leave alot so I am not saying him, but come on guys pick someone that has a vast talent in that region that is one of those webbys everyone knows.

Stop picking your friends, and people that are "nice" because according to this site we are here for Pokemon and some other related things, not for some anti gay or pro gay movements some Mods are trying to pull.

You know how messed up this place is getting because of that? We had Mods fight over that some left then returned and this is getting messed up.

Why don't we put our hormones away and get back to talking about Pokemon related things at a Pokemon related place before we ruin this place.
 
I do hope that you know that people can care more about Pokemon. So this doesnt have to be completly about Pokemon. Also, this Mod fight stuff is silly and unnecassary. You'll be a mod if youre picked. Also dont tell them that they need to hire someone even if youre confident. If they think they would be good they would hire him without other people telling them they should. Overall this, I belive to be really stupid all this arguing. That is all I have to say *bows*

He's allowed to present his opinions. The point of him doing so is that Staff might change their decisions about the issue. Thats what this forum is for.
 
Well Blaze, it that is your opinoin on webmasters discussion, it may be worth leaving a post in the staff feedback
But there is no need to generalise and state that mods only pick their friends, because that is simply untrue, and all other sections are modded very well -i appreciate your opinion on webmasters, but dont generalise please.

JK, lightning has only just been modded in that area, so give her a chance :\
And what i said is the truth, i have nothing to "speak for myself" about -they asked why you werent so i told them, but if that offends you, then i wont mention it :\
 
So, waht do you mods think you can do to show evryone that your not just picking your friends. I myself, cannot say anything on the issue of mods upgrading friends because I have no clue who most of these people are.*Bows* That is all I have to say for now
