Modern Warfare 2

Some of you guys take this game way too seriously you know. :p
To me it isn't one of those "sit down and have a great lil' time!111!!!1" games. I do take it serious when I play.

I never use to get nuked, but it is getting more common than before.

It is annoying when you see:

Winner = 25 Kills
Second = 9 Kills
.
.
.
Last = 25 kills

Is so obvious they have been boosting ><
Haha, I take back what I said. I just got nuked. :( XD

Seconded.

I wish I hadn't posted how to do it. I did it with the understanding that everyone here played right.

I never did it! But even if I did I wouldnt feel guilty, Im not really able to. I will only do it if the room is full of campers and tubers.

I has a field day with all the new players today.
I had several games where I got scores like 35-5.
Shame for the new guys, though.
I probably made their first experience of the online a bit horrible.
Same, the thing is though, when I'm not playing with my squad the game manages to put all the level 20 and under new guys on my team while the other team has the high ranked prestigers. I can go as possitive as I want and be MVP, but at least 2 of my teammates will be something like 0 kills and 14 deaths.

Lot of twists in this game shocked when shepherd chucks me in a pit and sets me on fire! jerk.

I have completed the game and am now working on finding enemy Intel.

I have literally the worst luck with bad teammates. I should change my gamertag to 'the wagon' or something because all I seem to do is carry teammates.

There should be an emblem for that, I would put it on. XD

OMG, Im boosting tonight, for a nuke only. Its not easy for me to feel guilty though :P
You know what I do when I find out some lifeless person is nuke boosting (that's right, if you have to boost in a game then you're a lifeless person. Because you have nothing better to do then to sit in a corner with someone on your friends list and boost to get a nuke, or points)? I look at the map and try to find the most uncommon spot on the map and then I go there (If you've played as many games as I have you can kind of tell where boosters are at. Having a headset helps as well). And when I get to that spot I kill both of them, and it just kills the nuke chance. And then they get a lovely message. Yea, all they have to do is go to another room and maybe it'll have stupid people. But it doesn't change the fact that the boosting nuke person didn't get it legit, doesn't change the fact that the person is a lifeless looser.

And I can't believe how many people on PC talk about nuke boosting. Oh everyone goes "HAHAHAHAHA I wouldn't ever do it" but I know good as well that most people who say they'll nuke boost would really do it.

I take it seriously because it's not one of them "casual", "lets all just have fun" types of games. I have fun playing it, and playing games is for fun. But what pisses me off is people on my team that doesn't know how to play the game or game type.

Calling me "lifeless" most certainly will not hurt my feelings, especially when I have plenty of reason to fire it back at you. But aside of all of that, I honestly see nothing wrong with it. I have already expressed my reason for doing it, which I havent yet. I honestly hate having to unlock the emblems I really want and I have never in all my CoD days gotten a 25 kill streak.

You could use the same logic to say someone who actually goes for a nuke legit and takes their time is also lifeless. Besides, it takes more time out of their life to do that than it would to boost it.

I am lovin all the new christmas gamers. So easy to string together loads of kills. Domination is a great one to get huge onse. Got on last week where I went 60+ for 28 death and my team won by miles.

I've been runnin' around winning Free-For-Alls on points ever since I got on.

Its official, the Model 1887 has been "nerfed". Its weaker and has less range. Im sad, just when I unlock it...

Actually, the patch was done wrong. Regular 1887s are nerfed, but Bling 1887s remain the same. So no more running Marathon/1887s, but Akimbo 1887s + FMJ isn't bad anyway.

What annoys me is that nobody plays the objective anymore.
People are way too focused on their K/D ratios, than actually winning.

^ that's actually the trend in FPS games nowadays, like Soldier Front.

Finally reached level 70, and unlocked AK-47. Not planning to prestige though, it's a waste with all the unlocked things I've unlocked. Besides, it's only for fun really.

I don't think I'll prestige either, I did with CoD4 and I kinda regret that since I liked all my weapons and I never really bothered to get back up to lvl 55 again.

See, "yet" being the key word. It's not hard to get 25 kills. I went 30 and 0 on a Free For All match (the kind where you have no one watching your back, or there isn't some "safe spot"). I wasn't sitting in some corner waiting for people to come by. I was doing a good bit of patrolling and picked up a good weapon after my TAR-21 ran out of ammo. It wasn't a room full of Christmas kids, I didn't get a kill with my Predator Missile, and both my Harrier and Pave Low were shot down after getting maybe 2 or 3 kills each. So if I can go 30 and 0 on a Free For All match, if I can get over 25 kills more then once, then anyone can. I don't have some God given gift to play Call of Duty, I can't do anything in the game that makes me magicly get 25 kills. I just use my head a little, and I get lucky every now and then. Anything I can do anyone else can do if given a little time.

So I don't see the point in "nuke boosting" or any other type of boosting. It takes the fun out of the game, ruins the game for others. And to me, people who have to do that are lifeless, because they can't use normal means to get what they want. They have to get some friend to help them boost to level up, or to get a nuke.

I can't remember if I linked you to a thread on GameSpot, where someone said that boosters are the smartest players in the game, and have more of a life then people playing the game right.

What annoys me is that nobody plays the objective anymore.
People are way too focused on their K/D ratios, than actually winning.
It annoys me too, more so due to teams. Like I play Hardcore HQ a good bit. And I can understand a supportive roles where a person sits back and shoots the enemy while they try to take the HQ. But I have lost so many matches because my whole team is camping, pulling this "supportive" role and they won't capture the HQ. Even if the whole enemy team is dead and it needs to be capped. So most of the time it's me or Alex_ in the HQ while the whole team just sits back and watches. I can't stand it, and I'm one of them people with a good K/D (1.84) so I can talk about the campers who sit back trying to boost their K/D. I have a better K/D then most of them.

Just an example of how crappy it is.... ATM I have like a 1.10 W/L ratio. And it's only that good because I play Free For All every now and then. On CoD4 I had like a 1.50+ W/L, WaW was also really good. The difference in now and then... back then I had a ton of good people to play with who knew how to play the game and knew how to get things done. These days I play with random crappy players who don't know squat about the game and sit around doing their own things and acting stupid. If I always had good players to play with like I did in the CoD4/WaW days then my W/L would be a lot higher.

I hate stupid campers on my team trying to boost k/d ratio

Me too. I mean, when you're trying to make your way through whatever building, alley, hut etc that the enemy is camped up in, and you have zero back up because your team is too busy dicking around with thermals trying to get a good score instead of winning it really pisses me off. Same with the other team, whatever happened to actually wanting to play properly?

My K/D has dropped from 1.69 to 1.55 in a matter of days thanks to campers + bad team mates. It's fine when my friends are on and we party up (providing mw2 doesnt just split us up anyway) because we communicate and work together.

I like having a good K/D. In most games I try to get things like harriers and Chopper gunners to place over CP points so people have a hbarder time taking them.

Also Boosting is completely noob. There is no need to do it as the game isn't that hard anyway when you get a good team of people.
