So is election day the same as the US election day? (Regardless, we'll need to include exact dates =x)

And I dunno about the cap on the number of nominations... Maybe we can do it so we only accept nominations for a week instead of just taking in a certain number. =\ We want to give everyone a chance for this, and if someone is away on vacation or something and all the spots are filled up by the time they get back, it wouldn't really be fair.

And self-nominations only - that way we know if someone wants to be nominated or not. =\

Welcome to the Pok?Community Presidential Elections!

This year, in order to honor the presidential elections, PC is gonna hold it's own elections, and you have a chance (providing you qualify) to win the title of Pok?Community President!

The President will have a bigger PM box, a colored name (Your choice) and a title, like the Moderator under Mod's titles. And of course, the ultimate part, you can brag to the other members that you got voted into office. And no, you don't get to be a mod... but hey, you get the title. And we all know that's the best part of being a mod.

Now, after reading what you can get, I bet you're wondering how you can get it, ne? Well, you have to either PM to JKaizer or Lightning saying that you want to join in the fun and take a shot at running.

There is just a single rule for running, however, so please follow it.
The Rule:
- You have to have been a member of PC for over 1 month

And that's it. Not too hard to follow, right?


How it'll work
After 10 days from today, application acception will be done. A list will be compiled from the applicants, and a thread will be posted in either Announcements or Other Chat and members will reply with their top 4 choices from the list. The top 10 of canidates from the "Primaries" will then be announced, and campaigning can begin.

Members will have until election day to campaign, and on that date a poll will be posted and each member will be able to vote for their top choice for PC President. The winner of that poll will be declared the PC President and will be awarded their prizes.


Any questions about this can be posted in this thread or PMed to either JKaizer or Lightning, the two people heading this.

Primaries voting for your top 3, and the final 10 get to campaign. That good?

So many pages overnight X_X. So, if I'm not mistaken, we have 10 days until the voting begins? So how should I "apply"? Sorry, but there's about 10 pages I'd have to look through otherwise.

EDIT: Just re-read the revised rules. No access to the mod louge it seems, ahh well, I guess I'll have to ask a mod to bring me back that doughnut even if I get elected...

This is all I know:

You won't always recieve an email, I think. Not sure.
I'm not a mod.
I think th pc could use younger mods, considering the older ones have life pounding on their back alot, I guess. PSB's a good mod, and he's 12!

AND NEVER EVER EVER ASK TO BE A MOD!! It'll only lower your chances of being one.

Mods are smart and don't go around abusing their power. And..I think they can be selected radomly, not sure. Like um.....

And modding is a reallllllly hard job. You have to be on.. to lock threads and stuff.
And...etc...etc...

And being a mod isn't the only way to become well-known. Just look at Tendo! He's so well known for doing trainer cards! And Iveechn, she's an artist..and don't look at me!! I've only been around for a lil' while.

We don't send emails to the members that gets picked as Mods. We send them PMs on PC about it. I mean they are going to come back so send a PM, it's quicker and everything.
