Like you, I'm not a fan of using multiples of the same species at once. If I must do it in order to abide by the rules of the challenge, then I will gladly do so, but if it's not needed, then I'll just solo with one Snorlax. Snorlax's movepool in Gen I isn't that shabby actually, so I suppose using two wouldn't be that bad.

Update for Ultimate Monocolor Challenge (White).

I dunno if anyone noticed, but I made some userbars for anyone who wants those...

Final Update (#3) on Crystal.
  • Beat all the gyms in Kanto pretty easily.
  • Surge was funny because Ace Metronomed Transform, and ended up winning with Struggle, lol.
  • The rest of the leaders were no trouble. Carl and Ace were the MVPs here.
  • Then I got everyone to L60, and challenged Red.
  • I probably should have grinded everyone a bit higher, but I ended up winning in the end. Carl and Sailor were the MVPs.

Anyway, I continued my ultimate White challenge on Ruby a few days ago.

Update #1 on Ruby.

Name: White (female character this time, for kicks)
Starter: Mudkip
  • After the beginning stuff, I caught Linda the Zigzagoon and Gandalf the Ralts on Route 102.
  • Roxanne took a few tries since I was a litle underleveled. Gandalf did most of the work with Double Team and Confusion, but Linda had to finish Nosepass off with a couple Headbutts.
  • Moving on to Dewford, the second gym was not as difficult. Linda beat Machop with some flinches, and Gandalf easily beat Makuhita.
  • Passed through Slateport City and beat Brendan. Linda and Gandalf both evolved shortly after.
  • Wattson wasn't too difficult with Gandalf learning Calm Mind and Psychic.
  • Continued north through Fallarbor Town, and caught Xena the Zangoose up there, my third team member.
  • Beat Archie on Mount Chimney, then hopped down to Lavaridge Town.
  • Flannery was a little difficult with Overheat. Linda beat her two Slugma with Dig, but both her and Xena fell to Torkoal, so Gandalf cleaned up with Psychic.
  • Explored the desert a bit, then made my way back to Petalburg City. Gandalf evolved into Gardevoir!
  • Xena barely swept Norman with a couple Swords Dances and Slash.
  • After getting Surf, I saved on Route 103's beach.

I guess I could update my Yellow run on Blue.

I quickly found a Weedle named Legolas in the forest, evolved it, and trained it all the way to 20 so it could learn Twinneedle. This made Brock a joke.
Mt Moon was easy, and so was Misty on the other side.
Beat Brown (yeah, I know that its not an electric run, and Brown is for Ground, but they are close enough).
Caught Aragorn the Bellsprout.
Did Bill related activities.
Battled my way to Vermilion.
Caught Gimli, the Sandshrew.

Well, I finished White on Ruby.

Final Update (#2) on Ruby.
  • Meh, I dun wanna talk about what happened...
  • Well, after I got to Fortree and beat Winona, I caught a female Absol, and bred it with a Skitty I raised to L39.
  • Out hatched Disastrous the Absol, with Faint Attack and Double-Edge! heh.
  • The rest of the gyms and stuff was easy, Disastrous destroyed Tate and Liza, Gandalf whooped Wallace with Thunderbolt.
  • Got through Victory Road, then used all my Rare Candies. Gandalf was L54, everyone else L53.
  • Sidney and Phoebe were beat by both Disastrous and Linda, Xena swept Glacia with Brick Break, and Disastrous swept Drake with Ice Beam.
  • Finally, Steven was up. He put up a decent fight but was no match for my white team.

Read the OP. An ultimate means that you are playing through each generation with the same color, in his case Blue. So he's play through one game out of Red/Blue/Yellow/Fire Red/Leaf Green, one game out of Gold/Silver/Crystal/HeartGold/SoulSilver, one game out of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, one game out of Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, and one game out of Black/White.
 
Oh, I wasn't aware of the legendary clause. I haven't got a chance to use Articuno yet, so I will just say goodbye to him. Is it possible to still use him as an HM slave, so I can have all blue including my slaves, lol.
