Never mind. Thought that maybe we could talk in an easier place to talk sometimes, especially with the rest of the RPers to discuss some plot issues. Also, I can't open the Spoiler tags in your first post for the SUs. I don't know why...

I needed to open them cause I wanted to know more of others' characters and now I can't, until I find the actual post that their SU is in. All other Spoiler tags work though. Or is the spoiler tag in the first post empty..?:embarrass

Name: Ashley Curtis
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Appearance:

Physical:

Ashley's slightly tall and slightly overweight, being at 1.7m tall and about 80 kg. His height sort of hides his size so that he doesn't look or seem to be as heavy as he is. He has black hair, black eyes and a sharp nose, as well as slightly pale lips.

People who look at him first notice his face, that makes him seem like he's bored most of the time. The bored expression stays on his face for almost the whole day and only changes to look slightly interested when he is with some of his closer friends in school or when he is using his abilities on someone else.

Clothing:

Ashley wears plain clothing that has some paint stains on it. He also wears shorts that is ripped near the knee. The colours that he wears most of the time are: blue, white, black, grey, red. It is very apparent from looking at him that Ashley does not come from a rich family, and is in fact very poor.

The bag that he carries is black in colour and looks worn out, with the cloth inside the bag having been torn from overusage. Ashley does not wear watches but he wears white socks and white shoes, that he also wears to school.

Because of the way he dresses, most people mistake him as a delinquent and don't really give him much respect, especially the teachers. Ashley is never bothered by this though, instead responding to these people by giving them a bored expression on his face and walking away.

Personality:

Ashley has two personalities. One brought about by his hypnotism that is called Yelhsa or Ashley-Inverse and one that is his own's.

Ashley

Ashley is not studious and neither is he a gangster sort of person. He is quite a joker, even though he shows a bored face most of the time. He mostly makes jokes at other people in his head, taking care not to let this humour seep out and ignores any rude or unfavourable comments made by other people. When he is not with his friend Jade or in school, you can mostly find Ashley in his home, surfing random pages on the web just to satisfy his "boredom".

Ashley's "boredom" came mostly from the fact that he was most always looked down on by others. Therefore, he decided to completely shut out the outside world and live within his own mind. He finds nothing amusing, especially from the bullying of others as he was in that situation a lot before. He displays very little emotion, choosing to not let anyone else have anything about him to pick out and tease about.

Ashley also finds using his powers slightly amusing and uses it on others just to amuse himself, mostly because he was always being bossed around before, he feels happy to be able to boss others around. Although, using his powers has brought on the darker side of his personality.

Yelhsa or Ashley-Inverse

Yelhsa is the darker side to Ashley's personality. He is cruel, sadistic and wouldn't think twice about murdering people. Yelhsa appears when Ashley uses his hypnotic powers on other people. Using hypnosis seems to awaken Yelhsa more and more and gives him more influence in Ashley's mind. Yelhsa is a personality created when Ashley's darker emotions manifestated themselves in his mind and grew after being exposed to the hypnotic powers present in Ashley's mind.

Yelhsa is a complete embodiment of evil and amuses in seeing people being tortured and killed. He has no qualms about using his hypnotic powers to make others kill themselves, watching as they kill themselves in many gruesome ways. He is also very manipulative and most of the time does not do the dirty work himself so that no evidence of any crime or murder will point back to him. Because of Ashley's powers, which he also gets to use, he is able to manipulate other people extremely well.

History:

Ashley was born in America to a poor family. Being poor, their family was almost always bullied by the richer families who looked down on him. Ashley, in particular was bullied the most, especially in school, due to children being the most playful and materialistic of the richer families. At that time, Ashley felt neglected and that he did not get the "basic" things that all other children had.

Ashley argues with his parents a lot, about the things that he does not and wants to have. His parents, who are irritated when he brings up topics about them not having money, used to hit him a lot. This led to Ashley becoming more and more of a recluse everyday and eventually shutting himself out from the rest of the world.

Ashley's powers have already appeared when he was young. From young, he seemed to be quite charismatic to certain people who are more susceptible to his powers. Just telling them something and with a bit of a gesture, he is able to make them give him what he wants. However, the main part of Ashley's powers were only revealed when he completely shut himself out at the age of 15. From then on, he had access to the rest of his powers and used it in part to get the various items that he wanted. For some reason though, he was unable to hypnotise his parents.

Superpowers:

Ashley's power is hypnotism. He is able to hypnotise other people through their 5 senses. At the moment, he is only able to make use of touch, sight and hearing to transmit his hypnotic powers into other people, but as he grows stronger, he will be able to use their other senses as well.

Sight: Ashley can make his eyes glow red when he uses his hypnotism. People who see his eyes will be affected by his hypnotism. This does not have to be Ashley's real eyes, it can be a recording or even a reflection from a mirror.

Hearing: The normal hypnotism where you say what you want them to do aloud. The weakest form of hypnotism.

Touch: By touching his targets, Ashley is able to use his nervous systems to transmit and electric pulse into the target to transmit the hypnotism waves.

EDIT: I finished them a little earlier than expected. SO here they are. They are probably plagued with errors, typos, etc but since I have to go to work I have no time to completely edit them now. I really wanted to get them up before this weekend though.

Lyle Dunne Murphy

Name: Lyle Dunne Murphy

Appearance
->Physical: Lyle is of Irish and German descent and his qualities seem to match rather well, all things considered. Lyle's skin is rather pale, with very minimal tanning on his arms and lower legs. Lyle's rather tall (though he is shorter than his older brother) standing at around 6 feet tall and has a well rounded athletic build with a defined but not physically intimidating muscular structure which puts at a modest 175 pounds. The muscle development is complete with each group of muscles featuring solid development and flexibility.

Lyle has long wavy brown hair that reaches his shoulders with the bangs brushing across his face. While he usually keeps his hair out of his face, he has grown increasingly lazy about the whole ordeal and lets it fall naturally as a means of covering a scar right above his left eye that stretches from his hairline down through his eyebrow, barely missing the eye itself. His eyes, while rather small, are a warm blue and are quite inviting. He keeps himself clean-shaven as much as possible and as such maintains a youthful face, making him appear younger than he really is and possibly more attractive (if that is your kind of thing). The most noticeable trait is that Lyle's nose appears of have been broken in the past and never healed properly, leaving the bridge of his nose more prominent and larger than most.

->Clothing: Lyle's style is fairly typical of poor young adult seeking employment. Despite living with his older brother, Lyle has never bothered to ask him for money to buy new clothing from the local store. As such, much of Lyle's wardrobe is old and faded but manages to maintain some degree of style. In general, he wears dark colored shirts, usually dark blue, black and green, with abstract designs such as logos or even video game references. He is also fond of button down shirts of lighter colors to compliment his darker t-shirts. Lyle is never seen without a pair of old faded blue jeans with several rips to add "character" to his otherwise normal pair of pants. Lyle is also found of wearing boots, usually of the Timberland brand, as they are useful for numerous purposes. Usually a leather belt is present to keep them from falling as well, but he has failed to purchase a stylish buckle.

Personality: On the surface, Lyle is not too different from any other guy. He's laid-back and easy going, preferring to take life as it comes. He is ridiculously lazy and is most often seen wandering the city instead of going to class (which would explain why he hasn't graduated yet) or going to work (which would explain his current lack of a job). The reality is Lyle is easily amused and finds enjoyment in simple things such as lying back and watching the clouds during the day and the stars at night, often losing track of time. Due to his easy going nature, Lyle isn't very vocal or opinionated and shows little interest in anything that doesn't directly affect him, his immediate family, or the ideals he believes in (which are fairly limited). He isn't necessarily a pushover, its more he doesn't care that much.

Lyle is fairly sociable, though he handles most situations poorly causing him to potentially sound awkward as he often is at a loss of words. Despite that, he tries his best to interact with people, permitting he has interest in them. He is particularly fond of talking to women and often flirts with them, however he hasn't had great success in this department and looking at his track record there is no wonder he never had a girlfriend. His speech is rather informal and out of place, and can be received as rude.

Lyle is very loyal to his family and close friends (to what few friends he has) as they were the only people there to support them in his time of need. In order to repay them, Lyle finds himself trying to protect them in any way he can. This has motivated him to have a relative strong sense of justice. He holds onto to the ideals of family and loyalty greatly and strives to protect anything that is related to those ideals.

It is hard, however, to get on Lyle's good side in order to make him care that much for someone. Due to his past, Lyle finds it hard to trust most people and in fact doesn't like most of the world's civilians, often ignoring them. Lyle does his best to be independent and solve his own problems instead of relying on others. He keeps to himself and has his fair share of secrets and stories (including the conditions of his power discovery). While he does his best to not let it ruin his life's experiences, Lyle does it find it difficult to let go of the past and holds grudges.

Lyle also dislikes his powers to a great degree as they in many ways ruined his early years, forcing him to grow up when he was still young.

History: Lyle's early life was not too different from anyone else. Born to a German mother and an Irish father, Lyle much of his early life in Europe alongside his older brother. Due to constantly moving from the Irish countryside to the German urban regions, Lyle had a difficult time making friends outside of his brother Neil. Realizing their children's plight, Lyle's parents decided to move to the United States and live in the city of Boston for the sake of working in a decent populated area. Able to finally settle down, Lyle went to school and lived a regular life.

However, Lyle still had trouble adjusting to school. He was frequently bullied and ridiculed by his peers, forcing his Neil to intervene at times. As much as Lyle was grateful to his brother, Lyle wanted to deal with the problem himself. His brother tried to convince Lyle to at least wait till he got into high school as the bullies would be too busy being scared of the upper class men to bully poor Lyle. He smiled and agreed to his brother's urges.

At the age of 14, Lyle entered high school with high hopes but they quickly evaporated. Lyle was still bullied and with his brother too busy in college, he was all alone. Enough was enough and Lyle dared to fight the bullies head on. The fight didn't go as planned. Lyle was helplessly surrounded by the gang of bullies and was at the their mercy. They abused Lyle and played around with him. Lyle was afraid and for a moment believed he was going to die. And then the unthinkable happened. As the leader lunged at him to deliver the final blow, a stone pillar emerged from the ground and struck the bully, launching him into the air. The remaining gang members retreated, believing Lyle to be some sort of monster. Lyle remained in that field, confused and frightened. What…..what…..what am i?, he asked. What did I do? What…what will happen to me…? All he could do was cry.

The following weeks were hell for Lyle. While no charges were pressed as there was no evidence linking Lyle to the bully's injuries, rumors spread that Lyle was a freak of nature. The medical reports didn't help as the bully was in critical condition for several days and while he recovered, it was confirmed he would be likely paralyzed due to his injuries. No one believed Lyle's side of the story that is was an accident. Only Neil believed Lyle. It was then that Neil convinced his parents to send Lyle back to Ireland to live his grandparents until everything blows over. Everyone concurred with this decision.

For the next several years, Lyle lived his with grandmother and grandfather in the Irish countryside. Neil tipped his grandparents that Lyle had "gifts" and he wanted them to allow him to "play around with them" without panicking as he knew they were more reasonable than his irresponsible parents. While they were confused, Lyle showed them what Neil meant, as he lifted a rock from the ground and threw it using his powers. Speechless, the grandparents thought of a plan. They would homeschool Lyle while also teaching him to control these "gifts". The new environment proved beneficial. Not only did Lyle receive a solid basic education, but the control over his powers greatly improved. He discovered they were linked to his instincts and emotional state and in order to use them, he must remain calm and focused.

For Lyle's 20th birthday, Neil called him and offered him a new opportunity: to live with him and attend NYU as a science major (knowing Lyle enjoyed all forms of science). Neil had numerous contacts and was able to work some magic for Lyle to successfully transfer into NYU. For the past three years Lyle has lived with elder brother and attended school on a semi-regular basis. He couldn't be happier.

Superpower:
->Earth Manipulation: Lyle can alter the shape and form of any form of rock, earthly substances and materials. If it came from the the ground at one point, Lyle can manipulate it and use it any he wishes, permitting he follows the rule of conversation of mass. He cannot change the substance he is manipulating, only its shape nor can he create rocks out of nowhere. Therefore, he must be in the presence of earthly materials and minerals in order for his body to function. As his power, at its most basic level, is little more than telekinesis he must be able to either see the objects he is manipulating or at least know it's relative location within a few yards. To put this in a believable scenario, he cannot manipulate the ground on the tenth floor of a building, but can on the first or second as Lyle has a relative idea of the ground's location.

Lyle's powers has a great deal of options open to him as he can create tremors, earthquakes, telekinetically control rocks and launch them at people, sharpen said rocks, shape the ground to his favor and manipulate the environment to attack someone, etc. His powers have defensive and offensive capabilities depending on the situation and with his solid control over his powers, it makes him fairly powerful. Most often, however, Lyle creates rocky "hulk hands" (look them up) to punch his opponents or creates a suit of stone armor, as its simple requires little effort. In summary, the world is Lyle's weapon and his imagination is its ammunition.

This power has its limits, however. Most apparent is Lyle's lack of versatility as he is limited by the amount of rock around him. As he is incapable of manifesting earthly materials, he must be in the vicinity of said materials in order to use his power effectively (after all, you can only fit so many rocks in your pockets). The second limitation is far more dangerous. As mentioned before, Lyle's power is a based on the principles of telekinesis which is directly connected to the human brain. Lyle's power is very telekinetic in nature and places lots of stress on his mind. As a result, Lyle can only use the full extent of his powers in limited doses, otherwise he will suffer from extreme headaches, nosebleeds, fatigue and in the worst case lose unconscious. To avoid these "side effects" Lyle finds himself frequently holding back and using his power in very minor and simple ways.

Metal Manipulation: Lyle's powers have evolved (at least in his mind) to the point he is capable of manipulating metal to a degree. This power is still in its infancy and as Lyle's control and experience with it is minor at best. At this point he can do little more than change its shape and telekinetically move it.

Physical Abilities: Lyle's physical abilities are that of a man of his height and weight who engages in regular exercise. He is not as workout religious as his before but manages to stay in good shape nonetheless.

Extra FUN FACTS: Lyle always carries a bottle of same painkiller in order to counteract his frequent headaches. He may or may not be addicted. He also enjoys smoking in order control his stress. His favorite sports team is the Colorado Avalanche because of the name. He also has a slight Irish accent.

His brother, Neil Patrick Murphy

Appearance:
-> Physical: Being Lyle's older brother, Neil bears numerous similarities to his brother to the point they can also be considered twins. His skin, like his brother's, is pale but more-so than his brothers, suggesting he doesn't get out much. He is taller than his brother, standing at around 6'2, and is noticeably more built with significant muscle growth. He estimates he weighs close to 200 pounds, possibly more so. The muscle growth is complete with no area left undeveloped. Neil is also incredibly agile and flexible.

Neil's facial structure is more defined and mature than his brother. He has a prominent jawline and far more stern default facial expression. It helps that Neil's dark brown hair is noticeably shorter and better groomed, with his bangs out of his face and his hair barely reaching his ears while the back brushing against his neck. Neil's face is fear of facial impurities, with no prominent scars unlike his brother. He remains well groomed with no facial hair (though his struggles with it are well documented and often has a shadow by the end of the day). Neil's eyes are very much like Lyle's, small and blue, however Neil's are slightly lighter and less inviting, suggesting he is more about business when compared Lyle's more open and relaxed eyes.

-> Clothing: If anything separates the brothers, it is clothing. As Neil is the more professional of the two, Neil dress accordingly. He is rarely seen with out some sort of suit, usually with a white dress suit, a gray jacket and matching pants with a bold red tie, complete with fancy dress shoes. However, Neil is perfectly capable of dressing normally but even then he does it with some concern of his outward appearance. He usually wears polo shirts of various colors with blue jeans, that unlike Lyle, are in good shape without rips. In these cases, Neil wears more reasonable shoes that are actually tactically effective in that you can actually run in them. Due to his powers, his clothing can suddenly change as well into clothing that is useful for fieldwork instead of a mere attractive physical appearance. One thing Neil never leaves the apartment without? His sliver watch.

Personality: Neil is reasonable, crafty and intelligent. Neil is far from overly emotional and always approaches things with logic in mind in an attempt to find the best solution for everyone. To this end, Neil is quite benevolent and caring almost to a fault, often sacrificing his own wants in order to help people. Neil's sense of justice is far greater than Lyle's and he always strifes to do the right thing. However, Neil is also a bit of hypocrite. Neil is guilty of being selfish and abusive when it comes to the use of powers. This is best presented by the liberal use of his powers to advance his career and help anyone he deems worthy of him helping. While Neil will claim he is doing it for someone else, it is more likely he is doing it for himself and his ego. Nevertheless, Neil has a good heart and the majority of his actions reflect that.

Neil is far more outgoing than his brother and his social interactions reflect that. He rarely feels awkward in social situations and his speech is clear with little to no stuttering. He speaks with respect and dignity, as if his pride is on the line. Neil can easily be rude and direct, as his profession as a journalist demands it. Neil is usually the first to start a conversation and speaks to literally anyone and everyone.

Neil is a careerist and highly motivated to succeed. He does almost everything he can possibly do to succeed in anything he tries to do. Despite being in a career that demands loyalty to only yourself, Neil tries his best to not bring down his friends and colleagues down and instead finds ways bring himself up. As such, Neil's loyalty mirrors his brother's, though it is far more prominent. He is also easier to approach and more open than Lyle, as he has not had the rough history Lyle had. Neil is not naive though, and knows who to trust and who to avoid.

Neil holds far less secrets than Lyle, though he holds his fair share. Neil also rather enjoys using his powers as opposed to Lyle, who abhors them. His most defined characteristic is his desire to know why he and his brother are the way they are…"special".

History: Neil, born about 6 years before Lyle, experienced much of the same in the early years. The constant moves and lack of stability affected Neil less than Lyle and by the time the family finally settled in Boston Neil eagerly attended school. Home-schooled by his parents to a greater degree than Lyle and more sociable, Neil quickly adjusted to the newfound stability. He aced his classes and became a sports star, succeeding in nearly everything he tried. While the same success was never experienced by Lyle, Neil never forgot his brother and tried to help him whenever he could.

One summer Neil visited his grandparents in Ireland with his father while Lyle and his mother went to Germany. It was there at the age of 18 that Neil's powers manifested. Right before his grandparents eyes' Neil assumed the form of his father unintentionally. Neil was shocked and slightly stirred at the transformation. And while his grandparents nearly suffered heart attacks, they knew it was reality and understood it wasn't Neil's fault and he still their flesh and blood. Wiser than one would expect, they helped Neil control and master his power in secret. Over time, Neil adapted and continued to practice, keeping the secret from everyone including Lyle.

2 years later when Lyle began experiencing the manifestation of his own powers, Neil immediately informed his grandparents of the situation. They suggested that Lyle live with them in order to help the boy control his dangerous abilities. While Lyle went own to live with the relatives, Neil changed his major in college to journalism hoping to be able to investigate anything related to the strange powers that he and his brother were beginning to develop.

Following his graduation, Neil began his career as a journalist and moved down south to New York City. Neil figured that if any news of these powers were to arise it would either be in the largest city in the world or in Washington D.C, the nation's capital. New York was closer, so he chose that option (and frankly Washington is close enough that he could easily travel there). Neil quickly established himself as a top tier journalist, using his powers to investigate and reveal numerous conspiracies with great ease by penetrating through security and finding evidence.

When his grandparents notified Neil of his brother's relative mastering of his powers, Neil used his powers to guarantee Lyle's acceptance into New York University, by assuming the identity of the man who accepts applications and accepting Lyle's rather unworthy application. Lyle then moved with Neil into his fine apartment and the two brothers have been living together ever since. While Lyle attends school on his own accord, Neil continues to investigate anything related to people with powers. So far, he has come up with virtually nothing.

Superpower:
Metamorph/ Shapeshifting: Neil's powers allow to alter the formation of his cells at will and therefore causing himself to look and sound like virtually anyone that resembles a human while wearing virtually any kind of clothing. While originally his transformations were incomplete, he has gained nearly perfect control to the point he can flawlessly copy anyone. Neil must have seen the person and hear the person at least once in order to make a successful transformation. Transformations require focus and time in order to be accurate, and the longer he must retain a certain form the more strain it puts on him. He cannot copy a person's physical abilities and therefore is at the limits of his own physical abilities, such as strength and speed. He has had no ill effects as a result of his powers but has noticed a few. Since he has alter the structure of his cells so much, his cells are slightly different than his humanoid peers. He is more resistant to disease and rarely gets sick. His aging may be slowed as well, but since he is in physical prime, he cannot confirm this yet.

Physical Abilities: Neil's physical abilities are close to that of a professional athlete. His speed and strength are well developed due to an intense workout plan and he regularly goes to the gym in order to hone his skills.

Extra FUN FACT: Neil is avid reader of novels and runs a blog where reviews books. He also hates the New York Yankees and is a Boston Red Sox fan. Neil lost his Irish accent and therefore he has a more American accent, close to that of a Boston accent.

I'm pretty sure it's because they compliment each other. At least mine is. I'm not sure on the other's powers, but cryokinesis = ice/freezing stuff. Ice + water... y'know. XD
