    — Challenged Will and his level 40 Xatu and level 41 Slowbro proceeded to pwn Sky, Hazel and Rocky
    — Almost defeated Slowbro with Lyssa's Earthquake, but Will used a Full Restore
    — Slowbro 2HKOed Quagsire, 1HKOed Rhyne and Diva
    — I knew I would lose
    — 8:00am... I quit, but I still look forward to reading other members' adventures... .EJ, you can take me off the list now... getting up to the Elite Four with Ground types was certainly an adventure, thanks for the experience

That's no problem. As for choosing, just flip a coin or something.

I must know, what are some great training spots for Fighting-types? I need help. :l

Small update: Shockingly, I am getting mutilated by Jasmine. Just hit 10 hours of playtime. I guess I've made alright progress, but still, not too far.

Finally decided to evolve Pory. Dunno why I held off so long. Back to grinding!

Wow. Just wow. Out of all the moves I have, Surf is the only move that took either Magnemite below half HP in a single hit. I mean, what?! Ugh, well regardless, I beat Jasmine. I kinda want another Fighting-type, but the only other ones "gettable" are ones that require waiting like 70 days for the Safari Zone (Riolu), or beating the game entirely (Torchic). Well, with the exception of Tyrogue, who I am definitely getting once I beat whatever Gym lets you use Waterfall, and Waterfall itself. I really want a Toxicroak, too, though.

    Oh, hurr, team update:
Pory the Poliwrath - Level 33
    Surf
    Blizzard
    Body Slam
    Hypnosis

Steve the Heracross - Level 27
    Aerial Ace
    Cut
    Counter
    Shadow Claw

Muscle the Machop - Level 26
    Low Kick
    Vital Throw
    Strength
    Revenge

Aaron the Mankey - Level 27
    Focus Punch
    Focus Energy
    Karate Chop
    Seismic Toss

Just realized that my Pokemon have pretty good Natures, 'cept Muscles, who's Defense is hindered a bit, but the rest are just fine.

Nice! Got a two-in-one! Both Aaron and Muscle evolved after just one battle! Currently in the Mahogany Rocket Hideout.

    Let's update!:

    - Did a lot since my last update.
    - Arrived in Ecruteak
    - Beat the Rocket in the Dance Hall
    - Did the Burnt Tower event
    - Decided I wasn't ready to take on Morty yet, so I trekked out to the route between Ecruteak and Olivine and trained
    - Went towards the cave (right) and got HM 04
    - Beat all the gym trainers
    - Tried Morty; lost
    - Trained a bit more
    - Tried Morty again; WON! (Fog Badge, obtained)
    - Saved on Route 40

    TEAM:
    Monotype Challenge (Ver. 2.0)

    Flounder/Quagsire
    Female/lvl. 30
    - Surf
    - Amnesia
    - Headbutt
    - Mud Shot

Amazing. The MVP of the team.

    Monotype Challenge (Ver. 2.0)

    Dune/Nidorino
    Male/lvl. 27
    - Horn Attack
    - Rock Smash
    - Peck
    - Leer

Meh, considering dropping, not really used for anything (I WAnT A NIDOKINGGG). Will evolve at level 42.

    Monotype Challenge (Ver. 2.0)

    Grimwald/Graveler
    Male/lvl. 30
    - Tackle
    - Magnitude
    - Rock Throw
    - Self Destruct

Pretty awesome, second best on the team. Will evo at level 33 (after learning Earthquake).

    HM Slaves: Chikorita (Cut)

Any ideas for other Pokemon to add to the team?

    Onix-steelix... Gliscor, etc.

I consider Onix/Golem/Rhydon the same thing because they have the same types.

    IDK about Steelix d:

Uhm, I'm thinking I'll add Swinub/Piloswine and call it a team.

    Nidoking - Poison/Ground
    Quagsire - Water/Ground
    Golem - Rock/Ground
    Piloswine - Ice/Ground

Well rounded if you ask me D:

Small update: Won't be updating again for a few hours, so might as well mention a few things. I destroyed Pryce fairly fast. I hadn't know Fighting was super-effective against Ice. Going to evolve Muscle a bit later today, at school.

    - Went through the Cinawood Gym, beat all trainers
    - Took on Chuck; WON! (STORM BADGE OBTAINED)
    - Got Fly
    - Beat Eusine easily
    - Went back to Olivine
    - Healed Amphy
    - Took on Jasmine; WON! (MINERAL BADGE OBTAINED)
    - Flew back to Cinawood
    - Went through the cave

    Female/lvl. 34

    - Yawn
    - Mud Shot

What can I say? This is the best Pokemon ever. Figured Yawn was better than Headbutt because Surf/Mud Shot = STAB and Yawn = sleepyness. Single handily took out Chuck.

    Monotype Challenge (Ver. 2.0)

    Dune/Nidorino @ Quick Claw
    Male/lvl. 31
    - Horn Attack
    - Rock Smash
    - Peck
    - Iron Tail

Nothing new to say here. Will evolve at level 42.

    Monotype Challenge (Ver. 2.0)

    Grimwald/Golem @ Hard Stone
    Male/lvl. 33
    - Tackle

    - Self Destruct

    Nifty little dude here. I dig his front sprite, and his EQ (;

I don't believe I've updated my latest conquest. Well I traveled to this weird town that seems deserted. The citizens speak of slowpokes but I've yet to see any. I talk to the town's honcho, Kurt and he quickly rushed toward that Team Rocket guy near the well. Once I get there, I see nobody...which I found strange...however I descended the ladder to find Kurt hurt (<----it rhymes ^.^)

I proceeded to defeat the enemies with Poochyena and Sneasel easily. Once that was done, I challenged the Bug gym where in the process of battling a bug catcher, my Poochyena finally evolved. With a Mightyena in my arsenal, I made it to Bugsy and I knew I had nothing to fear (aside from Scyther that is.) I sent Pluto out first and I told it to howl. He did so twice but Scyther used U-turn and switched out. It left quite a mark on Pluto but with two howls under my belt, I easily took care of Metapod and Kakuna. The Scyther finished off Pluto, but now it was Ares the Sneasel's turn, and it outspeeded Scyther and landed a STAB super-effective ice punch. Bye bye scyther.

That's it so far, I've been kinda busy with school/graduation stuff/meh.

As sad as it is, with as much work as I've put into my entries and how surprisingly attached I've become to my little Electric type Pokemon, I think I'm going to drop out of this challenge, at least for now, as I've decided to pursue a solo-run challenge instead and want to use my HeartGold.

When I finish the challenge, I may make another attempt at this, maybe with another type... I've been thinking about a poison challenge tbh, mostly cause it could be fun leveling with Muk, Weezing and so on.

Anyways, take care all - EJ, you do have a hell of a challenge here - and one day, I will be one of your champions!
