Man, you guys made Falkner look so easy.. I had trouble with my Sentret, it just keeps getting pawned by Tackle. lol..

Does Wee Yin have any special meaning?

Lol, I suppose the Normal type is the hardest to start with due to the moves. I could just go through sprout tower using peck, then just use rock slide in Falkners gym where you wouldn't have any super effective moves at that point, Would you?. I think you've got one of the biggest challenges so far :P

Oh, "Wee Yin" just means "Small One" in Scottish slang. So when Larvitar fully evolves into a Tyranitar i'll probably have to change the nickname to "Big Yin" :)

Well Miltank's best attacking stat is her physical one sooooo.....zen headbutt is the way to go. She's also very fast which would help you out.

You can't.

The point of the challenge is to catch them in game. Not breed them :S Breeding them takes away some of the challenge.

There's dark types available in HG/SS.

I got out of union cave and cleared team rocket out of slowpoke well. Nyx took out bugsy's gym and most of my rival's team with the help of Steel and Yin. Then Steel and I found the farfetched and got through ilex forest. (i taught cut to violet the quilava) Now I'm in Goldenrod city leveling up Steel, Yin and Nyx preparing to defeat Whitney.

Haha EJ I meant that if I drop Girafarig, I would only have 1 Special attacker in my team (Stantler, and it's only half one) and I would probably have problems when it comes to erm.. Forretress or something? I don't know atm.

And Miltank is a BEAST. She rips through EVERYTHING.

Update #9

Well I lost my whole 90% completed update halfway because I accidentally clicked back. GOSH.

Miltank basically decimated everything at Route 38 and 39. She just can't fall.

Lighthouse fun! Rollout means I save PP. :)

Jasmine needs potions!

Off to Cianwood! Water routes were fast due to Miltank + Girafarig. :)
And I saw Suicide! I mean Suicune. Challenged by Eusine after, which was effortlessly thrashed.

Fighting gym trainers were (almost) a breeze thanks to Girafarig, if only it wasn't that frail..

The battle wasn't that easy - I had to soft reset a few times for Poliwrath to stop using Surf goddamnit so that Girafarig won't get 2HKOed.
Grr... Flew back to Olivine for Jasmine. Actually I just wanted Safari Zone to open. :D

We wait for Baoba to prepare his second challenge.

Well, as I continue on my quest, I enter the bug catching contest, catch a Pinsir, change the day, then catch a Venonat.

Unfortunately, Pinsir is kind've weak at the moment, but Venonat is already proving to be invaluable with Poison Powder and Supersonic. :3

I decided to try the gym without grinding any levels, and what do you know, to my surprise...

Clefairy took out Pinch quite fast, sadly, but Spore came back and got revenge. XD Miltank was taken out in 2 hits, a simple Self-Destruct by Strobe, then a Brick Break from Xena. XD

Nah no point in Butterfree if you have Venomoth.

Houndoom? Quite frail though. I think Shiftry's not too bad as an all-out attacker, and I personally like Sharpedo.

Rofl, they aren't. XD Ariados can hold her own, as can Venonat. Having some issues with Pineco, but that's mainly due to the fact he hasn't evolved and obtained Gyro Ball yet.

Heracross, Scyther, and Pinsir aren't as strong as you think. EV training and egg moves make them strong. :P

I'm not EV training them, not using heart scales to get moves that they learn at levels before the evolution takes place, and not using hard to get TMs, so Heracross and Pinsir will not outclass the others, not by a long shot. ;P

HUGE Updates!!
Well my Internet wasnt working earlier so I just sat and played Heart Gold for a while.

So after Defeating Falkner I travelled down route 32 and battled every trainer there.
Entered the union cave and battled every trainer I could ( I think I missed some)
Got into Azalea Town and the "Local Tough Guy" Kurt told me he was going to "Sort out that Team Rocket". He then fell down a Well and injured his back :P , I therefore had to battle them myself but "Wee Yin" and "Mercury" handled themselves well and I defeated them all. Kurt then miraculously recovered as soon as I defeated Team Rocket.
Got through the bug gym easy using "Mercury" and obtained the Hive Badge
Returned the Farfetch'd and made it through Azelea Forest.
Went straight to Goldenrod gym and challenged Whitney. (The following would be quite large if I typed it all up so I'll shorten it for you :P )
-Challenged Whitney. Failed (Miltank >:( )

Defeated Sudowoodo.
Struggled in the double battle with the people who had 2 Clefables and 2 Wigglytuff's but came out on top :)
Went to the burnt tower and was told by some boy with a silver cape that the legendary dogs were in the basement but he didn't want to go down because they'd run away.
Defeated Silver easily
Went to the basement to make the legendary dogs run away in order to annoy the Silver Caped guy :)
Defeated Morty using nothing but "Wee Yin" and the Bite attack :P
Taught "Mercury" Sahdow Ball
Went to the place where the Kimono girl is and Lol'd at the Rocket Grunt trying to dance :P
Got the HM for Surf, Taught it to "Haribo"
Saved the game and Posted this update :)

Went past the National Park, and fought Sudowoodo, defeated him, obviously, and then went north towards Ecruteak. I then went to the burnt tower, where my rival almost steamrolled me. XD

So... I spent the better part of my day grinding... a lot. XD I didn't go into 'work' today, because I'm not feeling well, so I got some training in, XD And it almost wasn't enough o_o

If Morty was this hard, I may grind my bugs a bit more, to like 30-32, in order to take down the next gym.
