7th Gen Moon or Ultra Moon?

I've sorta been getting in the mood to replay Gen 7, it's also the only pre-Switch mainline Pokemon gen I've only played through once. Not sure which one to restart on though. I know that usually the 3rd version is the one to go with, but I can't really remember what the differences between the two are exactly besides the bit where in the ultra version you fight Ultra Necrozma late in the game. Mostly looking at a regular ass playthrough, probably not going to bother much if at all with the post-game or Festival Plaza stuff.

Voted for Ultra. Typically only recommends standard Moon for the story. Offers more Pokemon in Ultra. Changed a few other things like totems, move tutors, a few story fights, and TM placement (such as moving Scald and Acrobatics to well after Water Totem).

Put the vote in for Ultra Moon as well. Standard S/M work well storywise, but I personally hated the constant SOS battles going on so long. Glad that was fixed up in the Ultra set of games. SOS Battles work well for trying to shiny hunt, but not as much as trying to level up critters... I do agree that changes made from various spots such as the move tutors, story fights, and TM placement help greatly. Another welcoming change to the games is the addition of Mantine Surf which gives an amazing method of getting BP for items and moves as well.

I'm also voting Ultra Moon. It's a little bit more polished and offers better variety of Pokémon.
