I've noticed there has been an abundance of moves that raise multiple stats, like Coil, which raises Attack, Defense, and Accuracy by one level and Hone Claws which raises both Attack and Accuracy. Before, there weren't many moves that do that. An example would be Dragon Dance, or Curse.

List of new Multi-stat raising moves:

I love it. It's good so you only take up one move slot for raising 2 stats and you do it in one turn.

Growth has been changed too, so it does +1 Attack AND Special Attack, and +2 to each in Sunny Day conditions... That could probably count as a "new" multi-stat-raising move, seeing as it didn't do that before Black/White.

I love Quiver Dance so much. I run it on my Volcarona and YE GODS IS IT BEASTLY. I also plan to stick it on my Lilligant (in exchange for Aromatherapy) once I find a Heart Scale.

Quiver Dance Raises: Sp. Attack, Sp. Defense, Speed. +1

That has to be the best one for me. Special sweepers would have a field day with that.

Quiver dance is EXTREMELY useful in most battles; abusing it can usually allow you to pull off a potential sweep.

    EDIT: Ninja'd.

Quiver dance in-game is especially beastly on Liligant. You Sleep Powder the first thing you see, usually get in 2-3 Dances, and then either Giga Drain or Synthesis+Petal Dance. It's LOVELY. :) Honestly, most gyms I can solo with Liligant easily. Only one I couldn't was the Ice-type one.

Ya, quiver dance is definitely the best addition to the game. Volcarona is a beastly pokemon.

I haven't tried out Quiver Dance yet... I didn't really get involved with many of the new grass types except for Serperior. Surprisingly, it wasn't my flying-type Archeops that took out Marshall of the E4, but it was my underleveled Serperior after 4-5 Coils.

Did anyone see that Cloyster got shell smash! If you didn't know but shell smash lowers the users def and Sdef but raises your attact, speed and Spa by two stages! As well as icicle spear with skill link ability is Insane! 195 Stab to the face he's my main bro this game.

Also who can breed over quiver dance?

    Hone Claws and Quiver Dance are really good imo, I wanted to tech my Lilligant Quiver Dance, but idk what moves to delete @_@ Sleep Powder is really awesome, along with Lilligants unnatural speed for a pokemon with one leg, and I like Magical Leaf because it never misses, Giga Drain because it restores health and I will get rid of Energy Ball for Petal Dance, since it has 90 power and Lilligant's Own Tempo prevents confusion. Sooo no room for Quiver Dance ;o;

The addition of more multi-stat raising moves is awesome, but stuff like Quiver (Butterfly) Dance, Coil Around, and Shell Smash seems insane. @_@ At least Shell Smash has a drawback, but the other two are accompanied by no adverse effects and manage to raise three stats simultaneously! Quiver Dance seems like a dancing for all of the Butterfly and Moth Pokemon, indeed.

I'm a bit miffed that shell-based Pokemon like the Blastoise line, the Samurott line, Shuckle, the Kabutops line, Lapras, and the Torterra line are unable to receive Shell Smash. Anything with a reasonably protective shell and/or possesses the abilities Shell Armor or Battle Armor should have access to the move, IMO (though some people are saying that Shell Smash Shuckle would be broken...)

As for Coil Around, I'm just disappointed that Onix/Steelix are unable to learn it, despite being rock snakes...

The Generation V edits to Growth are much welcomed, so that Physically-based Pokemon can take advantage of it as well. Not to mention that the added stat boost under intense sunlight makes so much sense. :)

Shell Smash is definitely the most powerful move in the game. The only thing that makes it not-broken in my opinion is the relatively low amount of Pokémon that can use it... the best users are definitely Cloyster and Gorebyss imo.

As for multi-stat increasing moves in general, I love them all - and especially ones like Coil, that increase entirely different stats and make for more clever usage. I think they're awesome. :3

Simply put, I like how Quiver Dance is a combination of Calm Mind and Dragon Dance. The only thing that sucks is its small distribution. Personally, I think that Yanmega should have received this move, even though it's redundant with Speed Boost because it can use it as a way to boost its already high Special Attack and its pitiful Special Defense.

    Meloetta hasn't been distributed yet...

also i was going through the story mode and i saw a pokemon use a move that raised its defense or something drastically it said. Does anyone know anything about that?

He played on Pokèmon Online, a battle simulator on the PC, where Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect are available.

And, that move you're talking about, is Cotton Guard, which give a +3 Defense to the user. Use that move twice and your Defense is maxed out.
By the way, I crushed the Pokèmon League using Altaria with that move: such a great move on him, with its 90 and 105 base Defenses. I think that the top would be an Eviolite Swablu, but I can't imagine it well used in competitive battling.

That said, my fav Multi-Stat raising moves are: Coil, Cotton Guard, and Quiver Dance. Such a pain in the butt, with my trusty Volcarona :D
