4th Gen Most Useful In-game item in D/P?

elixirs and ethers even though the amount you get is set doesnt mean they are not useful. other than that full restore. one day i might try to "struggle" my way through the elite four...

I always just sell Elixirs/Ethers. I never ran out of PP on the Elite Four, and on the field... That's what PCs are for. I'd hardly call them the most useful, more like decently useful if you don't manage moves well, or just useless in a game with a free Inn that you can use unlimitedly.

10-15 PP moves (like Thunderbolt) >5 PP moves (like Fire Blast)
 
Yeah. Anyone says max healers. But what can you do with max healers when you cant get any pokémon?
Pokéball simply rules.

I agree with both those and the statement following that. I stocked up with 99 max repels to do the spearpillar and the victory road areas i didnt feel like battling useless battles. Ima go train later but they seem kinda pointless imo.

Also the sacred ash being as fully reviving your party is a nice effect
