Most Valuable Pokémon

Of all Pokémon that you had managed to get a hold of, which would you consider to be most important, and always (well, most of the time) seem to have on your team regardless of any circumstance? Why is it so valuable to you? When did you captured this Pokémon? What moves does it consist of?

As for me, mine would probably have to be Togekiss. One my friends sent me a Togepi one day fully IV-bred for safekeeping, but wound up deciding not to have it back and gave it to me. Thankfully, it had Serene Grace ability, which I'm a pretty huge fan of, and wound up training it because of that to see how far it would be able to go in terms of online battling and whatnot once it's fully evolved.

Once everything was said and done, I was indeed able to live up to my expectations; it made battling so much easy. Its move-set consisted of Air Slash, Thunder Wave, Nasty Plot, and Roost. With Nasty Plot, it would raise its Special Attack stat by two stages, making its Air Slash attack even more powerful than it is. Then, with Air Slash, it would immediately begin sweeping. Thunder Wave's there so that it would be able to help the Pokémon crippling foes, and with Roost, it has chance to recover itself whenever it wishes.

I think for me it would be Blaziken. While Castform is my favorite there is no doubt about him not being a reliable Pokemon for battle. However whenever I use Blaziken on a team in game, I have very little trouble with any challenge. Even if I am underleveled it is such a powerful Pokemon to have with good moves that can get you out of any situation. In-game I'll usually just run a full offensive set haha.

Outside of the games and speaking competitively I'd say my current mvp is Meinshao. I play a lot of UU and this guy has been a good asset to all of my teams. I run the scarf set with High Jump Kick, U-turn, Knock off, and Poison Jab.

Chandelure, Chandelure and Chandelure. It's in about..65% of my teams on Pokemon Showdown? Let alone it becoming a Pokemon I'm trying to raise into a competitive Pokemon - I'm currently trying to get a Timid/Modest Lampent from a Friend Safari. Another is Rotom, particularly Rotom Wash Forme. I used it both in game in X, and in competitive battling on both in game and PS. It's always done its job well, and it's a flexible Pokemon. Need power? Slap Choice Specs on it. I just love both of these Pokemon, and I use them as much as I can. They're pivotal.

    I have a couple.

First one would be my Dragonite from Silver. I raised it to level 100 and loved it to death. I would do solo runs of the elite four with it all the time and it annihilated everything. I should add I was in elementary school when I got this one so you can imagine how happy I was tehe.

Then I have a level 90 something Wigglytuff that I traded over from leafgreen or firered. I believe it now is either on Diamond or HG/SS. I never have been a huge fan of the Wigglytuff line, but I ended up raising it when trying to make a replica team of blue and I just loved it for some reason. One time I thought I had saved over on a game it could of been on and I was honestly kind of bummed until I realized it was safe........ lol.

I have a level 70/80 Honchkrow on Diamond that I dark pulsed everything to death with so you can see where the love began there.

I also have a Togekiss on Diamond I'm guessing level 80/90 another annihilator of mine.

My most valuable pokemon ever is Typhlosion. I remember when I first got it in pokemon silver and he helped me against Whitneys's miltank! I loved That pokemon so much, even more than my venusaur from Pokémon Blue. I would love to play with him and my old team but the game battery run out and playing Soul Silver isn't the same

I had a Chandelure in Pokémon Black before, if I remember correctly, but eventually stopped using it once it was banned by Smogon (or was it only its Shadow Tag ability that was banned?). If it weren't for that, I still would have kept it with me, for sure. All-around, it's a great Pokémon, if you ask me; has a great set of moves available in its arsenal, and it's extremely quick.

For me, it's my Charizard that I've hung onto since 2008. It was one of a few guys that I've had since I played Fire Red and managed to transfer all the way to my copy of Y. After getting the mega stone for it that's normally obtainable through X, I found a good enough reason to keep it on my team and use it regularly to this day. Nickname wise, I dubbed it Efreet.

Funny thing is, I normally thought that Charizard was overrated but ever since I got this particular Charmander, I never looked back and I don't plan to anytime soon.

Of course Mew would be a great team member, but lets be real here.

I love having Celebi on my team because it knows a killer psychic attack, a healing attack, and I can't seem to remember the other moves that it knows. But the healing/attack combo is the biggest part.

Though, I'm the kind of guy who likes to have Pokemon that I like on my team, not because of what they can do, but because of who they are and where they came from. For example, I like having Bulbasaur because its so well known and original.

Shadow Tag didn't even come around for Chandelure in Gen 5, so you couldn't use it at all. Chandelure wasn't banned anyway. It's not really fast, too - 80 base speed isn't really fantastic. Scarf fixes that though, thank God.

Hm... if memory serves me right, I do remember getting a hold of one with Shadow Tag, haha. It must have been hacked, I suppose?

Shadow Tag was it's old hidden ability, but it was switched to Infiltrator in X/Y, I believe. Also, I don't think there was a legitimate way to get Shadow Tag Chandelure before, but I'm not sure if maybe you could get it in the Dream World?

I masuda method'd a shiny Aegislash the moment I got to the breeding point in Y. It's been my baby ever since. <3 I also have an amazing Absol traded to me from my fiance that I use as my official in-game catcher and that I love quite dearly.

Well, if i remember correctly..The 3 kanto starter was my most valuable pokemon..they make me survive until Gen 3 or 4 maybe (not really sure) but still they are my most powerful pokemon..

Gyarados. The thing's a monster capable of destroying nearly anything. Just keep him away from lightning and you're set.

My most valuable is definitely Umbreon. I've accumulated a ton of them over the years in various generations, even shiny ones. It's a Pokemon I never get tired of using, but I guess that's to be expected when it's my favorite. :P When I do challenges, if Umbreon fits the criteria for it (possibly the theme if it happens to be a holiday event) then I usually go out of the way to fit it in. I always used it on my teams in Pokemon Stadium 2 as well. I refused to get into a battle without it. Standing up to Explosion and surviving was always the coolest thing ever. I thought Umbreon was a super Pokemon haha.
