The title explains, what is the most vile and digascusting thing you've seen in an anime or manga. It can be in forms of missing body parts, sharp objects stuck into them or a huge bloody explosion. As for me, I'd go with this, I'll elaborate from this panel from Naruto Volume 1:

Woah, let me try to explain the absolute gore and blood that Masashi incorparated into this panel.

Sasuke has eight kunai knives in his body, one of which is in his cheek. Ten shuriken, two of which are on his torso area. His left leg is clearly broken, and most notably, his arm is missing! Compared to the manga version, the anime version looks tame. You could barely see it, it cut away so fast.

So all in all, this is gorey, period. Add picturs if you like. In fact, madnitory, how can you describe something without visual aide?

ohhh, I'm reading Elfen Lied right now and there are plenty scenes, just havn't reached them yet (watched the anime)

I'll edit the pics here when I come across them

^ This, though it was the anime I watched. I'm still surprised I could stomach it, though the gore by itself wouldn't have bothered me so much without the emotional stuff attached to it.

Shaman King (only in the manga).

En Tao crushes a panda's head in his hand and tosses the body to the side.

Faust VIII breaks his leg and in the middle of combat, cuts himself open, tosses the bone aside, and commands his skeleton army to find him a replacement.

Kami (circle) Kazi also has quite a lot of gruesome things, but it's been too long since I borrowed it from a friend and read it to name anything in particular. I just remember seeing countless guts while reading it.

Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG, episode 26. Kazundo Gouda's head gets blown off by an assault rifle, fired by none other than Motoko Kusanagi.

That's the only one I really remember off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure I've seen equally violent imagery in other series.

Higurashi and Elfen Leid are both beautifully gorey.
Well, there is a scene in Higurashi when Rika stabs herself to death. (There were sound effects >_>) And when Rena beats some chick to death with a pipe and hides her body in a fridge. Yeah. Awesome stuff.

Detective Conan has a lot of gory scenes, not surprisingly.

I have seen someone getting burned alive.

And here we have a winner

    Spoiler:

oooooooo, a little too violent I see for pics, but everyone who has watched it knows anyway, lol

Elfen Lied has to be one of the gory-er ones out there. I mean Limbs were just flying off like crazy.

Decapitated heads were normal scenes in Elfen Lied.

Oh. This is my kind of thread. Mainly because I'm react to every blood that gushes out.

Code Geass, Jigoku Shoujo, Well, I can;t think of any blood gushing anime that totally freaks me out except, I read in wikipedia about the last episode of School Days. Man, do they need theraphy.

While it was part of another movie, the bloodiest segment that comes to mind is anime-characterized section of Kill Bill. Three minutes of blood-spraying beats almost everything else. Yet, Blue Seed was pretty good too.

But the winner is Elfen Lied. God, that anime will make a Hemophiliac seem like Jesus.(No offense to people with Hemophilia.)

There's this one scene in an anime called Tokyo Tribe... well, I rather not described it. :/ It's not for the faint of heart. I stopped watching it after that.
The scene with the big guy and the curtain...? Yeah I've watched the series best not to describe it...

Elfen Lied and Mnemosyne...have a nice day. :D Pick any scene involving Rin in the latter OVA that does not involve her with her weapons.

Hm... I generally like this sort of anime, and I know of quite a few. I'm Da GURU!

Elfin Leid - Who doesn't like a multiple personalitied Diclonius? O_o I love this, Lucy is just epic in every way, and there IS A STORYLINE, which I find quite touching, although the ending made me a tad bit angry. I hate cliffhanger/up to the watcher endings. XD

Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni - This one, is by most people, one of the most disturbing. Theres a little girl being tortured on a cross, nail ripping machine, etc. When They Cry, however, dissapointed me with Kai and Rei. Not as much violence, totally ruining the story for me.

Mnemosyne - Haven't seen much of it, as I've just gotten into it, but from what I've seen, I can tell that it most likely won't dissapoint me in the end. Yuri (Girl x Girl) is present, so if your not into that sort of thing, don't watch it.

Now and Then, Here and There
    -
You will have to find out why I think this is violent on your own. One scene stands out more than the rest.

There are a lot more, but these are the ones I favor.

Ghost in the Shell. An anime that is full of violence, and some bits of gore (especially the first episode of the SAC 2nd Gig series... lots of headshots I think...)

Elfen Lied also had weird gory moments.

You mean the thermos scene? That's possibly my favorite video segment of all time. My hands were shaking by the end of it.
