Movie based on original story

    I apologize if this has been discussed before, but I didn't find anything when doing a quick search. If there was to be a new movie made (either in Japan and then dubbed or completely original American made) based on the original story and characters of the show, how do you think it would play out? What do you think the major differences would be, assuming it doesn't follow what happens in Indigo League or from Indigo to say Master Quest completely? Would a movie series be the first time Ash wins the Pokemon League and becomes a Pokemon master?

    Something I could see in a movie is Team Rocket being more of an actual threat, with the plot revolving around Team Rocket (or Giovanni in an expanded role as the main villain) taking control of the Pokemon league and Ash needing to defeat them in order to stop them from taking over.

    Sorry, I didn't see this discussion! Aaand, if there were to be a movie about an original story (or based off it), I think it would just be an average save-the-world movie where Ash has to beat the "Most Powerful Pokemon ever" similar to the first ever movie. What I want is a movie where Ash is with all the friends he's ever made, saving the world with them with the ~Power of Friendship~. I'd so want that, please make it Pokémon anime staff! As for Ash becoming a Pokémon Master through a movie, I cannot see that happening. =/ Ugh.

    I don't see them ever making another set of animated movies based off the anime series. Rather, a set of movies (or mini-series) based on the different generations seems more likely. Which might be what we're getting in the newly announced extra series? Sort of c:

    It would be pretty cool with live action movies featuring Ash and co though. Buuut. That's been speculated on 2392304 times before and it would still be pretty weird to make pokémon look realistic yet cartoony enough in CGI I guess?
     
    I would assume any movie based on the original generation wouldn't follow the anime for seasons 1 through however they decide to go to exactly. There would be some differences like there's going to be some differences in the upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie to the show.

    I did think about whether a live action movie would ever happen too. It would be interesting to see who they cast as Ash and co and how well the Pokemon look and the battles are done in CGI. Depending on who does it and how well it's casted, it would be either really cool or lame.

    Interestingly enough, there is a Live Action Pokemon movie coming out, but it's not about the Pokemon Anime. The closest we'll ever get to a Live Action Pokemon film for the anime were those creepy American produced anime musicals back in 2000.

    CGI would be so weird to see for Pokemon! @_@ But I'm sure it'd work out, somehow, perhaps the CG could be a "different world" in similar vein to the Giratfina movie.

    That is the movie of which I refer to. The closest thing we'll ever get to a Pokemon anime turned live action film. I don't think the movie industry is gonna do that with Ash and co unless they're desperate for funds...aha.
     
    You never know, some studio might decide to take on a movie whether animated or live action with CGI.
     
    What about a movie based on Pokemon Go? Starring Candela, Blanche, and Spark. Maybe live action.
