    Been messing around with Leaf Green again, since the kid deleted the old file. Caught a female abra to trade for Mr Mime, to get a female one. Or so I thought that's how it would go. But alas no, 15 restarts and Mimien is only coming in male so far. Anyone else know if he only comes in male in this version, or am I just not having any luck with the ladies? lol
     
    Mr. Mime comes in at a 1:1 ratio of Male to Female generally. But IIRC the genders of the ingame traded Pokemon aren't affected even by soft resetting. Although I can't actually 100% confirm that.

    Actually... As far as I know, there are some pokes who only come in a gender. Chansey, as example, only comes as female. MR Mime, except for Sabrina's one in G/S/C, only appears as male.

    Yep, the translators SUCK. At least they translated Mime Jr. right. Oh, yes- Sabrina's Mr. Mime is ALWAYS female.
     
    Well 50 restarts later, i've come to the conclusion that indeed the ingame trades are set, he even always came as Timid nature. So my gathering about this topic is that ingame trades are set not just the name, but gender, as well as nature. Lvl changes to match the lvl of the one you trade, but that seems to be about it.

    I'll just breed this one later on, to get a female. Unless I get Diamond soon, then i'll just catch one in the wild.

    Also, the translators indeed suck, Japanese Mr Mime is Barrierd, the MR was put on in America only. The german name is Pantimos, the and Korean is Maimmaen. Not sure of others, but it seems to be an american ignorance thing. lol.
