MY ALARM!

Three final exams. The exams were smashed into three hours and a half, a 7 minute break between each. They started at 8:00AM and ended around 11:45AM. I woke up at 11:30AM; I failed a course because they did not let me repeat it, but managed to squeeze make-up exams for the other two.

I have a sort of internal alarm that wakes me up before my alarm if I know I have something to wake up to do. Doesn't matter how exhausted I am, I still wake up. Soooo I've never really overslept anything of real importance, besides self established things like "I wanna wake up at 7 and start cleaning!" or something.

I slept through my AA promotion, lmao. I fell asleep and when I woke up I had like 10 IM windows flashing with people congratulating me for something I didn't even know had happened.

Other than that, I haven't really slept through anything more than a college class here and there.

Overslept? a few times with me, nothing special.

I tend to wake up late around noon. So one time I miss a strong rain/hail (which is kind of rare in Seattle).

Other times typical, I miss my bus stop. Actually many times because I fall a sleep on the bus, at certain angles and weather they are very comforting.

The only time I can ever remember oversleeping was when I was supposed to do some video game testing about a year ago. There must have been a power outage that night, because when I woke up, my clock was just sitting there flashing at 0:00, and the alarm never went off. I was supposed to be there at noon and woke up at 11:55, but it took about 45 minutes to get there. I ended up having to re-schedule it for the next week.

I'm actually surprised I haven't had something like that happen more often to me, since I can never wake up before noon without an alarm. Even if I were to go to bed at 10 the night before, I will sleep right through unless something or someone wakes me.

I don't recall missing anything life-changing major, though I do remember sleeping through quite a few of my 8:00 AM college classes, so much so that one professor advised I dropped the course, which I did. Other than that, it's mostly just missing phone calls and buses.

To make sure I don't end up missing anything important due to oversleeping, I've now gotten into the habit of placing my alarm clock across the room from my bed, so I actually have to expend some effort to hit the snooze button. It does help me from just going back to sleep.

Holy crap, did I really make this thread a month ago? o_O

The most important things I've accidentally slept through were TV shows lol. I've never been much of a sleeper, so even if I don't set my alarm I usually wake up fairly early. The few times I have accidentally slept in were tragic because I missed episodes of Pokemon or Gilmore Girls :<

I over sleep a lot so I'm trying to break myself of the habit right now. I fallen asleep on the school bus and the city bus. I have slept through a Tornado and I fell asleep during my ACT test my 11th grade year of high school.

The latest I've been for things due to sleeping in have mostly just been uni/law school classes; so, not the biggest things in the world... For the most part, I'm anally punctual, so I tend not to be late for the super-duper big things in life. And if I set an alarm, I normally end up sticking to it as well. Yay me, I guess.

Pretty much the same as this guy here.

I dont think I've ever missed something by over sleeping, I wake up ridiculously early regardless of when I go to sleep so it hasnt been a problem for me. The closest Ive come to missing something is going surfing and forgetting to come in at the right time and missing the school bus. I didnt oversleep though!
