that watching pokemon on tv makes you learn more about pokemon. is that true?

hold on a sec(no being mean)i know your new,but theres a pokemon tv show thread for this.a mod will probably move it there, but yeah you learn more.

Um... o_O; Yes, watching the anime would let you learn more about Pokemon. I mean, the more exposure you get to the fandom, the better, right?

I.. think I should move this to Pokemon Anime. o.o

    And often it's counterproductive.
"I'll use Haunter against Sabrina, just like Ash!"
Riiight…or how Pikachu pwns ground types like Donphan, and that a good Roseila moveset is Magical Leaf, Petal Dance, Stun Spore. >_>

For me it is, because that's how I learn the Hoenn Pokemon.

N-O NO! It will ruin any Pokemon game knowledge you have if you aren't trained to ignore idiots. The imbeciles in the show don't know the difference between Rock and Ground types. You can't even learn which Pokemon is which as they cosntantly confuse them.

On the rare occasion that they do get a fact right about the pokemon game, it usually turns out not to work in the show because of some special case, like the Taillow not being weak against electricity even though it is supposed to, just because it has a "strong will to win". In fact, according to the show, any pokemon with a strong will to win can overcome any other pokemon, even the type it is especially weak against. :P

Anime learns you something about their personality but sometimes I see mistakes. For example, Pikachu used Thunderbolt and Golem faints, or first they say, that ghost type pokemon can beat psychic type pokemon, and later that psychic pokemon can beat ghost pokemon etc.
But I think, anime doesn`t learn smarter things. Maybe a little about friendship, but nothing more.

Ya, it really has no way of improving your skills, its one of the animes that tell you about the maning of friendship and working together.

It can be cool in some points (most of em for fun), but, the battles are very different from games for example what Casey already said!, also, non-full evolved pkmn should not be so strong, and im talking about Ash that don't full evolve his pkmn and he still wins!!.

Hey, I took out a member of the E4 with my Tailow, so I guess it can work for ash,^^.

Well, i can make a Caterpie with 999 in every stat with my game shark...so i guess Ahs has one!!, hahaha. J/K.

No, i mean, that non-evolved pkmn can win battles, yes, but not so often...

It depends if you put all your energy into it, I had a team of unevoloved pokemon that never lost against the E$,XD>

Well, im not sure if you dare to challenge IRL trainers with those, but, i knew about IRL battles, and you just can't win with non-evolved pkmn....it is already hard to win to some other human beaign with full evolved....

I took down the finale member of the E4 with a single Tailow, course it was at level 93 and it was VERY well trained, it can be done.

I doubt the wild Tailow in the show was a level 93 though.

And don't worry about Pikachu being able to win most battles, like they said the first time he blasted Team Rocket "That pikachu is no ordinary pikachu". See? An explanation for everything!

Of course it helps learn abute pokemon by watching it, it help's you learn in many diffrent ways.....

    OMG EWW!
The Anime just made Pok?mon Aknowlodgment (sp?) torn!
How can Pikachu defeat a Piloswine with THUNDER SHOCK? O__O
And why Scyther and Electabuzz gets angry when they see red, if Red is at Ash's hat and they dont do anything? And how can Lv. 2 Taillows resist against a Lv. 80+ Pikachu's Thunder shock? Never, NEVER, say the anime make ya learn about Pok?mon...

Despite its inconsistencies, I think that because the Anime depicts Pok?mon (almost) realistically, it has to factor in such discrepancies, because it is (almost) real.

Or it could just be Artistic License.
