They only say that because of the various origin stories given to Celestia and Luna by fans, and fans believe that the official origin story of the royal sisters will not be as good as the ones made by the fans, as the official origin story won't involve blood and gore, while fans quickly accepted Sparkler as Dinky Doo's sister, they apparent refuse to accept whatever the origins of Celestia and Luna are.

People freaking complained all over the place about Fluttershy being a "BG" pony now, well... there she was in episode.

Now, Canon is official, while Fanon is Fan-Made, correct.
Fanon will not going to destroyed, people need to know when to calm down and enjoy the show. :\

I really assume, and so do some other ponies that the 2-parter with Discord was supposed to be the ending to Season 1 as the Season 1 intro was still there, and was subsequently replaced in the next episode with the current intro.

Other antagonists, story arcs in Pokemon are always short two parters as opposed to most anime series, in which they scretch out across the season, and the main plot of the Pokemon anime is pretty much an excuse plot.

It's a universal fact among the MLP fandom that the show was supposed to have an overarching storyline as Lauren Faust intended it to have, Mizan de la Plume Kuro and Cirno are correct with their posts about Discord, and it's pretty much a concept that should be applied to the Pokemon anime, although My Little Pony doesn't really need that concept at all.
 
Got a small update for PonyDex (Here). It's still got the spelling errors that somepony pointed out, but I didn't see the message until after I already compiled the .exe, so I may work on it in the morning and release a v0.71, or I might just wait until 0.8 to fix it.

And once again, sorry about file size.

Not necessarily. I mean, there's no physical law that prevents them from just re-using Discord and not Trixie.
