Issue: My Posts Keep Getting Deleted

Is it possible that a thread that you were posting in was deleted, like a similar problem that has happened?

Was this directed at me? I don't post more then once in threads usually. And the thread i constantly post in is the help thread in d/p/pt. So i don't think that is the issue.

this has also happened to me...i posted on threads that my post did count for but every now and then one of my post gets deleted which is weird cause if it was spam it would prob get deleted right away but i dont post spam but at least every 2 or so weeks 1 of my post gets delete :/

Didn't we have one day, recently, where a lot of people's post counts went down by 100, or so?
It could be connected to that some how.. or at least be the same type of 'glitch'. o_O

Yeah, we did. And I haven't been active much in the past few days, but I've noticed that almost 50 posts of mine got deleted again. This happened in the past, but I had around 450 posts, and now I'm back to 399 (well... 400 now). Seriously weird...

the only way your post counts could go down is if a thread was moved to a section that doesn't count posts.. (and then moved either back or elsewhere..)

We could reset the post count counter, BUT, and here is the real issue, ALMOST ALL USERS WILL LOSE POSTS!
So, we didn't reset this.. and most like won't.

your counts don't just vanish.. some action, like moving threads as stated above, has to be done by a staff member. Staffer's do not routinely go around changing post counts and the software can't 'really' forget them (its NOT windows ya know) as this info is stored in a database table.

its just bad luck for those who had lost some posts due to topic moves and that's all. move on, post more to rebuild your counts.. etc.

Maybe the staff just did it for the lulz.

That's most unlikely to happen.

Anyways as Rukario said, for the people who lost their posts, they could just move on with it and build it back up without spamming and things like that.

never had this happen to me but I think it sounds really weird... maybe somthing in the program writes over other peoples posts without deleting them or something. I don't even know if that is possible, it's just a guess.

We aren't spamming, we're reporting problems we've had. Our posts have been legitimate.
If I recall correctly, you posted about this exact same thing when your posts got deleted. But your posts were added back, now weren't they?

Well, as long as you have over 15 (to post pics/links), it's just a number, isn't it? I mean, unless you're trying to shoot for 5000 (or whatever number it is, I can't remember) to get a blog, it's really not super important, is it? With what Rukario said, it possibly being a side effect of other actions, it's inevitable that everyone will lose posts at some point. Just talk louder, I guess, and build those posts back up.

Now I think you misunderstood my message to you all. I said that for the people who are losing their post counts just to build it back up again, but just make sure not to spam when you're posting.

Having been here since August, and a productive member of this forum, I think I would know that by now. No reminders are needed.
