not really, i just needed clickbait title

So we all know it's a trend to get appliances these days into the "smart" era like TVs and refrigerators. However, how do you feel about more appliances getting connected to the internet just for the sake of efficiency, such as knowing how the device is doing through an app, or even remote start? Do you feel it's a necessity to have the amount of IoT (internet of things) devices that we already do, or have we gone too far in terms of advancement of such devices?

How about appliances and devices that aren't up-to-date in this IoT era that you think would benefit from being smart?

I think smart lights are pretty cool, but they are way too expensive to be practical

everything else is too advanced for me, especially the Juicero

edit: I did get the Ring smart doorbell or whatever it's called with my brothers for my parents a year or two ago though and I think that's pretty cool

i think the lights are a cool gimmick. more so, since I'm almost always in front of the computer. but overall, nah. IoT's impressive but I'd like a simple house
