    Honey
    Slice of lemon
Plenty of clove stuck into the lemon
Two fingers (i suppose he meant height) of whiskey
Hot water over it all in a cup

Let stand. Pick up slice, take out the clove and squeeze lemon into drink. Drink. Sleep?

Do you think this will work or am I crazy for trying? It smells... Weird.

This is a hot toddy! Some people swear by them. Try it - worst comes to worst, you still get whiskey. I'd advise to use fairly hot water, but not too hot to drink - otherwise the alcohol will just evaporate before you actually get any to drink of it.

Honey soothes your throat, lemon gives you vitamins, alcohol makes you sleepy, and holding a warm cup relaxes and calms you so, yeah, I can see why this would work.

Personally I opt for tea, but this probably will help at least a little if not more.

It tasted surprisingly good haha! Probably should have drunk it all just before bed though; now I was kind of half drowsy for a few hours from it. I did take too much whisky, yes. I am a small girl yes.

Hot toddy? Haha well nice to hear that it's actually a thing, and not just some odd joke played on me d:

This is so weird, my TA just recommended to all of us to drink whiskey if we're sick... even though he knows we're all under 21 lol? So I think this might work. Tell us if it helps though, and not just tastes good!

Well, I have heard of Lemon and Honey as the traditional methods of healing sore throats and cold, but the cloves are a little odd. As was said previously, honey soothes the throat, and Lemons are full of vitamin C for wound recovery and immune system health.

Alcohol is a depressant that help numb pain and relax the body, and whiskey is especially famous for it's use as a painkiller and relaxant. I also see clove oil listed as having a bunch of health benefits, but the only one I can find realistic sources on is it's benefits in dental health. Overall an odd combo, but aside from not fully understanding the cloves I can definitely see this working.

Also silently telling myself to use whiskey when sick.
