I think I've already joined this group twice but anyway, i'll be more active in here from now on as i'm finally up to date with everything. xD

Out of interest what did you guys think of this OVA?

Foreshadowing, or just a cool AMV style OVA?

From this it sounds like they did it for sales purposes and nothing more.

The last couple chapters seemed mah. Nothing really exciting happened for me.

Gold and Silver Brothers seem quite overrated, if they didn't have those items they would seem like any other ninja, or at the very least not Legendary or anything like that. Nice to see Kakuzu get some spot light after all the time dead, and he seemly confirmed that Hidan is still alive, but Kisame and Konan weren't summoned and they are both dead are they not? All the Ino - Shika - Cho stuff rather bores me imo. I hope the Asuma part ends in at least 3 chapters so we can get on with other story lines, don't get me wrong I like Asuma but he had a Filler pretty much dedicated to him, and plenty of screen time more then most of the other Jonin. I want to see more of Dan, I don't know the compacity of his abilties, so if he was weak he wouldn't be summoned(I don't think), hopefully they shed light on how he died or at least who defeated him.

More like the last couple chapters have been boring at least for me. Kankauro division is in a battle with Hanzo, Chiyo, Kimimmaro, Chukichi so it should be more interesting then what we already heard from Asuma.

I've got mixed feelings about Naruto atm.

Manga

Asuma against his old team has the potential to be awesome, i mean Asuma was a top, top ninja right? if say Chōji or Ino were to die in the battle that could be some great character development material for Shikamaru.

Ok, that won't happen. They'll fight a bit and talk, Shikamaru will bring up "the king" and it will all end on a sad/happy note.

Other than that i really want the war over and done with. We need some more on the Naruto x Hinata thing from all those millions of chapters (Pain arc) sorted, i mean come on it's been forever even more so for a Hinatafag like myself.

I'm also looking forward for seeing Naruto's new powerlevel in actual combat, from the drawings it looks great.

Although it's anime related it's anime related i'll say it here... I can't wait for this scene to be animated...

Even though i don't like Sakura that much this has to be one of my favourite parts of the manga to date.

Well, it's just started to pick up again action wise, glad about that. Not a fan of Saskue and his monotone "I'm so dark, must kill everything" attitude which has been getting even greater in the last few eps so it might get annoying.

Away from that has anyone noticed an increase in animation quality this arc?, would be nice if they could keep it like this even in the inevitable future filler arcs.

I see you were talking about games a while back, i've never owned one myself but i stumbled across this, I lol'd probably too hard.

Seeing Hanzo past gave me a little more respect for him, although I still can't get past the fact he killed Yahiko(what a jerk). Nice too see a flash back chapter from time to time(one that we have never seen before that is). Now Asuma vs. his former team is under way looks like Choji is faltering, even though Asuma is telling them how to fight against them. Hopefully this fight less 3 more chapters at the most.

I'm relatively new to Naruto. Actually, I got hooked with the video games. I bought Clash of Ninja Revolution a while back, where I first got into it. Then I got Ninja Storm 2 a few months ago, when I realized, "Oh my God. I have to catch up on this." I started watching the anime a few weeks ago from the very beginning of Part 1, I'm just at the beginning of the Chunin Exams arc now. I don't really read the manga, but hopefully I'll start soon. So, I won't really have much to say until I catch up, judging on the looks of these posts.

Ehehe...so yeah. That's all.

Welcome to the Club AntiZero. Personally I would suggest once you get past Retrive Sasuke arc to skip to Shippuuden, since the rest is filler. Most of them are mah, not saying don't watch it, but if you want to continue the story stop watching after Episode 135.

From Naruto I actually preferred the filler to the main story. Started Enjoying the main plot when Akatsuki got involved. So yeah, i'd say something different and watch it all, there really are a couple of pretty nice filler arcs (mysterious peakock method and fish girl ftw).

I'm sure that final fight was better before it got edited and dubbed but the music in that arc made it better than most of the main story.

Also I can see why Naruto has so many haters from the dub, i thought his Japanese voice grated. :o

Yeah, it's the mask one <3 IMO, it was good enough to be canon, except for Sasuke's emotions. Y'know, how he actually showed some? Which is totally OOC, but whatever. That added to the comedy.


I started watching the dub on CN before the sub, so I really don't mind. Actually, I don't hate any anime dubs. I don't understand why so many people do.

A lot of people are "hipster" about dubs. I don't mind well done dub (Cowboy Bebop, Black lagoon, Bleach (Ichigo and Rukia) but from that half episode Naruto's didn't seem too great. I forgot to mention Yu Gi-Oh!, i loved that because it was so bad. xD
