New Haruhi Season

More or less. I like openings, too, but I won't go so far as to say anything without one is bad.

Coalguys is fine for me. I've always liked his stuff anyway, probably won't even both with a.f.k.

So apparently Kyoani is working on four series (plus a movie) at the same time. How are they managing this?

Different teams managing each series, I'd guess.

huh? 4 series? K-on, Haruhi...oh, you're counting the Haruhi shorts as full-blown series? XD

Though still, I think this really is the first time KyoAni actually has worked on more than one series at a time. Though at the same time, they do have quite a bit of time between their new Haruhi eps. Meh, there's a first time for everything though XD

I watched Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody a few days ago, after completely forgetting about it until I was reminded by a friend. XD;

Having not read the Disappearance novels/manga I didn't really know what to expect, but I definitely liked it and if the rest of the new season is as good as this episode was it may even surpass the first in my eyes.

The opening has arrived! Called "Super Driver". I don't know if it's good, but better than Bouken Desho Desho, maybe because I've heard that song for ages? LOL.
Anyway, the episode is called "Endoresu Eito", which means "Endless Eight".

It seems they are reairing the episodes. THAT'S why I saw "Mystérique Sign" and the titles of the old series in the 2009 version episode list Wikipedia... I hate reruns.

It's Endless Eight, not Endless Sight. xD

The only reason they're reairing everything is so that newcomers to the show won't get absolutely confused by the random jumps in the storyline (with respect to the novels), though I would have loved a completely jumbled up season just like last time.

Endless Eight was disappointing, it was way to filler-ish and lacked what made Haruhi, well... Haruhi. I'm expecting Endless Eight to conclude and actually make some sense to those who haven't read the novels yet.

But the old episodes' somewhat boring when you watch it for a lot of times. It's really THAT necessary? I always thought Haruhi was well-known already.

I like it. It's somehow making me feel more known to Japanese culture or something. And Haruhi is still Haruhi for me. What makes you think she's not the Haruhi we know?
One thing I'm upset about is how Haruhi cast Mikuru away from Kyon and let her go with Koizumi. Then she let her have the good stuff and sit on Kyon's bike. That's mean! I don't care about the end of the world, I just want fanservice.
 
I agree with Alex. This episode seems like on of those Naruto filler. i was really anticipating for Mikuru crying (spoiler) and Yuki with that bored look on her face and looking in the sky. (Though it's hard to tell Yuki's expression. XD)

Oh, and I remember in the novel Kyon was daydreaming about he giving a ride to Mikuru on the way back. XD
 
I liked the new opening, is there a release date for the CD yet? But I didn't like the newest episode too much. I agree with everyone, it did seem like a filler XD I liked how Yuki randomly wore her school uniform for most of the episode though (it was her school unfiorm she was wearing, wasn't it? XD). The next episode should be when they're back at school, right? I haven't read the manga. So hopefully the next episode is better ^^

also, someone confirm silhouettes of Kyonko and Koizumi(female) in the beginningish area of the OP. jk, That was more than likely coincidental than anything XD

Ah, now I get what you all meant about this episode being filler... Other than the "PENALTY! PENALTY!" Haruhi screamed in a funny way (and of course, Kyon's commentary), this was somewhat boring.

OP is good. I love fast songs.
 
I love the new OP. :B It's growing on me fast. I'm still iffy on the ED but I think that's growing on me too.

8| I still haven't watched the second episode of the new series yet. My netbook won't sync it up properly so I have to get my other computer up and working so I can transfer it over and watch and that's... so much work. /lazy
