6th Gen New Region(s)? O_O

Hey guys check this video out from Marriland!! What do you guys think about this? Do you think we will have a new region? Or maybe....multiple new regions to speed up the game's progress? Maybe that's why there are so few pokemon now... :o

I kind of think with all of the evidence there might be a possible chance of going to regions based off Germany, UK, or somewhere far far away? ( India/Hawaii ). It looks like Couriway and Courmarine seem like 'traveling' spots to me. Where do they lead? There are a lot of theories out there.

The thing is you can get an item from someone in the hotels if you speak to him for several days and he mentions that he is not from any of the previous regions and that we would see it soon so.... And there is a speculated Pokemon Wii U game. I hope we will get a pokemon game like Pokemon colleseum and XD gale of darkness for the Wii U were we connect our 3ds to the Wii U and trade/battle. But yea i think the new region might be A wii U game.

Probably not a Wii U game, since the backpacker at the hotels tells you about the champion of his region. So main game it is.

And the biggest piece of evidence is, just like Marriland says, is.in the official guidebook.
Also, the Strange Souvenir is a regular item and not a key item. Conclusion: We have to trade the item to the future games to unlock something!

Where does it mention in the strategy guide? All I can find is something about a "new adventure" but that could be referring to the aftergame.

It mentions 14 different berries that needs to be traded from other regions because they are unobtainable in the Kalos region. That was in the strategy guide, which means that there might be a chance of seeing a new region ( or multiple ) sooner than we know.

Although there is already a thread about this theory ( https://www.pokecommunity.com/threads/313557 ) I want to say that I find that theory interesting. We already knew they were going to make new games because of the Pokemon Bank but that means we could trade berries(and maybe items) between Kalos and the new region!

I don't think they will update the X&Y versions to include a new region. They are just going to release a new title, I guess! But it's just too early to talk about new regions and games don't you think ? :P

There's definitely something funky going on with that backpacker, the souvenir and the note in the official guidebook. I think we could all agree to that.

I like the idea of a perpetual generation...at least until the successor to the 3ds arrives. Maybe they're thinking that rather than make gen 7 on the 3ds and have it arrive near the end of its life.....they could extend gen 6 for the remainder of its lifespan?

A completely new region makes me think they would need to make some new pokemon.....it would be kinda strange having a brand new region but no new faces. Would they have the Kalos starters?

Yeah, that's why I don't think it's less likely that there might be new regions for a new game for sixth gen or add-on regions. Europe has so many countries that you're bound to have what they did for Kanto and Johto. They are really close together and it's possible that the bordering regions play a major role in sixth generation.

I love the idea of Hawaii. All the lush greenery and beaches, exploring caves and the forests have always been really appealing to me when playing. I am not so keen on the idea of a region based in the UK, though. Australia would be another good one.

However transferring from Hoenn doesn't explain the backpacker's words seeing how he isn't from the six known regions...so it's possible that there is going to be a new region in addition to a possible third version and remakes...

Yeah and the guide book does mention transferring berries from other regions. So even if one of them is Hoenn there's at least one more region we'll be able to explore in the 6th gen. Possibly the one the backpacker and souvenir hints at.

I would love that, it'll mean that this generation will have more to explore than any generation since Generation IV which featured 3 regions, with possibly a future version of Kalos if they do sequels. I would very much welcome such a move, especially after having only Unova and two years future Unova last generation.

Hate to nitpick but Berries were introduced in Johto, I believe?

Not in their current form. I think in Johto we had stuff like pzncureberry but it wasn't until Hoenn that we got Oran, Pecha, Cheri etc berries.

I thought i was gonna rip my hair out if i heard him say "BERRIES FROM OTHER REGION!!!" one more time. >.> Like seriously, we get it. I mean is it really that big of a shock to people that they are doing other regions? i thought it was crystal clear there wasnt going to be a Pokemon Z, when Zygarde showed up as a catchable pokemon in both versions. And seeing as how X&Y were obviously French themed, i would love to see the other regions be themed after other UK countries.

There could be a mini-region south of Kalos. Kalos as a whole looks a bit incomplete if you compare it to France; it looks like the whole Southern part is missing. It could also be where all the unobtainable Pokemon (e.g. Rattata, Misdreavus, Cottonee, etc) could be but that's just another far-fetched opinion of mine.
