Foreword:
I'm a total noob to any kind of competitive battling in Pokemon. The most I've done is battled friends and some people online. While I hope the title isn't misleading, I don't necessarily think I'm good enough to play VGC's or in Smogon but I'd like to not get my butt kicked in PSS. So I decided to revamp my team and start from scratch, as for IV's I have a 6iv ditto to breed, but any help with what EV's to give my pokes would be useful. Here's what I've got.
EDIT: Thanks a ton for the help, I'll continue to update this team as I get more suggestions.
ORIGINAL TEAM:
UPDATED TEAM:
Mega Lucario w/Lucarionite
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, HP
Moves: Close Combat, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Bullet Punch
Went for the Earthquake out of preference.
TalonFlame @ Sharp Beak
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk/4 Def/252 Spe
Ability: Gale Wings
-Flare Blitz
-Brave Bird
-U-turn
-Roost
I definitely agree with the Roost on TalonFlame. Keeping him going is definitely good. Went with this one for the improved speed so I can hopefully take out Hazards before they take out me which should be easy with TalonFlames impressive speed.
Gyarados @ Leftovers
Nature: Adamant/Jolly
EVs: 88 HP/220 Atk/4 Def/196 Spe
Ability: Intimidate
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Bounce
-Substitute
Not too sure on how I feel about that Bounce but I'll teach it to him and see how I like it.
Sylveon @ Choice Specs
Nature: Modest
EVs: 244 HP/252 SAtk/12 Spe
Ability: Pixilate
-Hyper Voice
-Shadow Ball
-Psyshock
-Hidden Power (Ground/Fire)
I agree with the whole Gardevoir being mediocre un mega'd and opted for Sylveon so that I could keep the whole Psychic/Fairy Moveset. Also I think Sylveon is neat.
Landorus-Therian @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Knock Off
Hazards hurray. Works well because Hydregion can resist water.
Hydregion @ Life Orb
Nature: Mild
EVs: 4 Atk/252 SAtk/252 Spe
-Draco Meteor
-Dark Pulse
-Fire Blast/Flash Cannon
-Earth Power
Resist Water and Dark coverage.
So that's my team so far, thanks for the help PlatinumDude and Zekrom, you've helped me consider alternatives and make some switches
Also please remember that while I want this team to be competitive, I'm not necessarily going to any tournys. I just want something I can use on the PSS and not get owned.
Thanks Again for reading!

ORIGINAL TEAM:
Mega Lucario
Ability: Adaptability
EVs: Max ATTK and Max SPD (I dunno where the other 4 went oops)
- Swords Dance
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Powerup Punch
I'm using Lucario as my main sweeper. I just think hes a cool poke and has good viability with Swords dance into Powerup Punch OHKO'ing just about anything that isn't resistant. I'm considering
switching something for Close Combat or switching him entirely into a SpAtk Nasty plot but for now this is what I got
Talon Flame @ Life Orb
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 252 ATK / 252 HP / 4 SpD
- Brave Bird
- Tailwind
- U-Turn
- Flair Blitz
I picked Talon Flame because he was kind of a total opposite for Lucario, offering a resistance or immunity to everything Lucario was weak to helping to clear some pokes. It seemed like a natural fit and with U-Turn I can swap straight back into Lucario or some other poke. Not too sold on his move set yet but yeah.
Gyarados @ Left overs
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 Def
- Hydro Pump
- Fire Blast
- Ice Beam
- Thunder Bolt
I knew I wanted Gyarados in here. Great coverage and could take out fire threats to Lucario.
The only problem is I have no idea how to build the guy. What I have there is my best assemblance I could figure out for him based off of stuff I found online so sorry if hes poop.
Gardevoir @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Telepathy
EVs: 4 HP/ 252 SpAtk / 252 SpD
- MoonBlast
- Psychic
- ThunderBolt
- Trick
Same thing with Gyarados, really no clue how to build this guy. This was my best shot at it.
I wanted Gardevoir to clear Fighting hazards and Dark Hazards seeing as how Lucario can't punch a Dark, but also to be a back up sweeper in case things got rough with Lucario. Fairy to clear Dragon/Fighting and Psychic to hopefully sweep should things get set up nice.
Ampharos @ Left Overs
Ability: Static
EVs: 252 HP/ 252 SpAtk / 4 Sdef
- Thunderbolt
- Thunderwave
- Hidden Power
- Focus Blast
I suppose I should just clear that I have no idea how to build these pokemon. Sorry if I have offended you. I know I wanted Ampharos to clear my weakness to water I have with Talon Flame, whom is vital to setting up for Lucario. Hes also a viable switch into an Electric poke if I really need to tank the hit.
Umbreon @ Left Overs
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Def
- Curse
- Payback
- Moonlight
- Toxic
Like I said, I have no clue what I'm doing. All I knew was that I wanted Umbreon to be a tank.
I was also debating giving him Swords dance and Baton Pass in order to get a free setup for Lucario but I wasn't too sure.
