How's it going peeps? As the title says im sort of new but not really. I bought my first pokemon game back in 98, pokemon yellow pikachu edition. Im guessing a good number of members on here where not even born when that game was release, good times my firends. Since then Ive bought many pokemon games over the years with my last one being pokemon diamond back in 08. So as you can see ive been outta of the game for a long time. Recently acquired a nintendo 3ds xl and pokemon y which i started playing last night. Its a whole different world and im eager to learn everything ive missed since then:)

It's going very well for me thank you! And welcome to PC, Poke_Rex! Great to see another veteran Pokemon fan around as well, I've been playing almost everything since 3rd Gen but I've been a fan even before then.

Based on what you've mentioned, it appears you haven't played Platinum, Heart Gold/Soul Silver, Black/White and Black 2/White 2 but I hope you consider revisiting those games to see what you missed out on. Hopefully you consider getting Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire as well, they're very pretty remakes and they really capture Hoenn's beauty for the modern era. I've been blown away by the graphics so far, and I'm 6 badges into my playthrough. I know how epic the Kyogre encounter scene will be for me, based on LP's I've seen of the games but I have to get more of the story out first.

Anyways, I'm sure you will have fun posting in the various Pokemon topics peppered around and we always have someone who can assist you if you're feeling lost. Have a nice time and I'll see you around!

Thanks for the warm welcome, im thinking of buying either omega red or alpha blue once i mastered y, so many new pokemon to keep track. I still remember when i first got pokemon silver, and i thought how can they top this 250 pokemon and here we are with over 700.

I used to have one of those Pikachu edition Nintendo 64s when I was younger, which I got from the flea amrket. Playing those Pokemon Stadium Nintendo 64 games was really rad too!

Ooh, and you're in for a treat if you decide to get ORAS! A really solid remake for the original R/S/E games, I'd say! Mmm, hopefully you can check out the pokemon boards here, like, you can check out the ORAS as well as the X&Y board anytime you'd like!

Regardless, it's been really nice meeting you! I hope you'll have a splendid time, and I look forward on seeing you again soon! And have yourself a wonderful night~ <3

Ah yes pokemon stadium, I loved that game, in fact i stay have it along with my nintendo 64. I cant remember the last time i played it thought, maybe 10 years or so ago, i loved the mini games as well. I remember it had a neat feature in which you could play the first gen games and you were able to speed up the game play thus making training much faster and easier. As far as my pikachu yellow edition, i still have it and it works last time i checked it (about a year ago) hell i still have the original box as well.

PokeCommunity actually has quite a lot of people that're 18+.. plenty of which started their Pokemon journey with R/B/Y, too. I first got into the franchise with R/B myself and am still a huge fan fifteen years later. Go us! Glad you're catching up with everything again. :) Big welcome to PC!

Yeah, having 700+ Pokemon is pretty crazy but it's also not hard at all to collect many of them since so many aren't difficult to catch, that and we've WiFi trading and the GTS available now. Filling the Pokedex helps keep a lot of us busy and I finished mine in Alpha Sapphire some weeks ago. n~n It's great meeting you and I do hope you'll enjoy everything the forum has to offer! Keep enjoying X/Y and be sure to discuss it all with us. Cheers!

So far pc seems like an awesome community, glad im part of it. My only regret is not having as much time to play Y as much as i had time to play the previous gens in the past. Still loving every minute of it.
