NFC - Nintendo Fan Club

I probably NEED to get broadband before I could get online, require some money.
Anyone wanna donate me? XD jk
But yeah, 10 characters confirmed by far, Jigglypuff is going to be in as a secret character.
How did I know? I uh...dreamt about it.
...what?

Well...1up's TP preview part two is up. And I nearly spit my drink out when I read it...

Sumo wrestling.

Yup...Link has to sumo wrestle in TP. Hate to be around when the rabid fangirls find out though. XD

Otherwise, the second dungeon sounds really tough, and I can't wait to fight the bosses. They sound frickin awesome - even though we've seen the dungeon boss before in the trailers and stuff.

^Link for those who want to read it - has some spoilers though.

There there, there there. We'll cry together.

*sobs*

Anywho, have any of you American Citizens seen the Nintendo Wii commercial with the Japanese business men going around saying "We [Wii] would like to play."

Cause that is the commercial that my mate is in. He's the son in the first house that they visit.

It was on YouTube about 7 hours ago, but they deleted it.

I am so happy right now, I just played a Wii! I went to Gamestop so I can pay off my pre-ordered Wii and Twilight Princess and they had a demo kiosk up. So I patiently waited for some kids to stop playing it and when it was finally my turn they asked for a drivers license and my car keys, since I don't have either they had to take my dad's. It took me about 1 minute to get a hang of the controls for Excite Truck, it is really intuitive and it is a lot of fun, after some bad collisions with some trees I was playing like a pro, not really but I was doing good. A crowd gathered around me so I felt pressured not to suck and I actually did pretty well. First impressions of the Wii are great, the controller is a good size and the actual controls were good. The batteries actually ran out while I was playing, it wasn't my fault though, I only played for like 10 minutes because my dad was hurrying me. Anyways, I got my Wii and TP payed off so now I just wait. If you were still on the fence about getting Excite Truck I recommend that you get it, it's fun and really easy once you get the hang of it, which only takes a minute or two. To anybody that was wondering about the visual I can tell you that the graphics are just fine, don't expect 360 looking games(which we all know by now) but expect something good to look at.

Man, all this I'm hearing about Excitetruck is making me want the game. But I don't think I can manage two games on launch day...$350 is enough. x_o;

Maybe Christmas. Besides, TP will be enough to keep me occupied for a while. XD

I'd rather die XD

So chances are, I won't be visiting this section for a while after it's released there.

hmm, you guys would have finished the games even before I get them!
I don't know, TP is a long game. XD

Seeing how there won't be any online launch games, you don't need to get broadband right away. But we race online, and it almost never kicks you off. XD

Wow, congrats on being the first NFC member to play the Wii.
Now, did it feel really good or did it feel really good? XD

Did your truck bust up? I mean like on Gran Turismo games no matter how many other cars or things you hit the car will look the same. Does the trucks on Excite Truck get messed up after taking hits (or hitting others)?

I want to get Excite Truck, I just wish I could get it at launch...

3 days....... 22 hours......... so long of a wait and it's just a hop, skip, and a jump away.........

Yeah, but do you expect me to believe that no one would have finished it in 20 days?

And do you have to keep on repeating how long is left till launch?! XD
It took me 30 days to beat OoT with lots of help. So sure, why not. XD

Yes I do, because it's so darn close. XD

Thats an extremely long time, the N64 Zelda games could be beaten within a day. TP probably won'[t take long to complete. Remember beating the game and finding everything in it are 2 completely different things.

Yea, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask was so easy that any old fool could beat it in a day in the first day of playing it. Shigeru Miyamoto just wanted to make a game where you play for a day and beat it the same day. The day where you beat OoT in a day is the day I give up gaming. I even have a hard time seeing Triffy beat OoT in a day (not saying he can't, but still I have a hard time seeing that).

And did you know when asked TP game testers said it takes 70+ hours to beat LoZ: TP. So are you reading all this TP stuff or just throwing out random numbers to look good?

Oh and in other news

Is it just me or does that Boxart look sweet? XD

GameSpot's first Wii review. No I'm not happy.

Been out a few days, but a 5/5.

Edit:

I saw that on Fox, I thought it was funny that Kevin was called in to talk about the PS3 and then e pulls out a Wiimote. XD

I'd ignore that GS review, even if I haven't played the game before. Jeff Gerstmann spews out so much crap it isn't even funny. He's widely considered to be GS's worst reviewer, and I can't believe they actually gave him the first Wii game to review.

And it looks like both IGN and GS are going to pound the whole graphics thing into the ground with low scores. >>

And Andy, you know the boxart will suck when it gets over here, so... XD

I always knew I didn't like that guy's face. XD

We most likely will. I don't think we'll see anymore games get the same score on all the systems. Doesn't matter if the controls on the Wii are better, they'll lower it because of the graphics.

You never know. XD

I feel ashamed XD
Being a UK gamer, I have to suffer the pain of letting other people play the Wii weeks before me.
I really couldn't care what scores reviewers give the game, aslong as I enjoy playing it.
I'm good.

Yo dudes, have you ever heard about this game called Elite Beat Agents? When I saw some gameplay videos I was all like wow this game sure looks awesome!

Heck even EGM gave it almost a straight 9.0 for that game.

This is another reason why I need to get a DS quick!

You can check out this video and see for yourself!

My personal best is 12 hours. Which is an awful awful time. The record is...around six hours I believe. I slowly improve each time. I completely severed my 11 hour run over the summer though. So sad. T_T; So many mistakes.

Time for you to give up gaming. And just before the release of the Wii too. What a shame. XD

Anyway...a standard first runthrough of TP should take around 50-70 hours depending on your skill level.

(If there was any confusion though. I did not beat OoT in one day when I first played it. I experienced it fully. Only through recent playthroughs have I tried to do that)

All you got to do is fly over to the US, grab a Wii, find some way to plug in the Wii over there and there you have it. XD

I saw the game when X-Play talked about it when they where at the TGS back in 05. It doesn't really look like a game I want. But that's just me. XD

Was that 12 hours over days, or 12 hours straight? Because I'm talking about one day. XD

No it's not, not unless you're Mario Famous. XD

For me I always take far longer then what they say it takes. FFXII is said to take 40 hours yet I'm already on 50, mainly because I always going around running around everywhere and checking everything.

Some new PBR screens.

2 days, 6 hours

Twelve hours straight, of course.

I plan before hand when I want to play OoT all day. So, I make sure I'm free. Wake up early, and play until I'm done. Whenever I have to eat, have a drink, or go to the washroom, I'll pause. Then I write how much time that took, and subtract it from my total play time afterwards.
