I don't see how the handheld market would be diluted? The DS was released back in 2004, I mean 2006 has been 2 years later and I am sure people are already eager for a new handhelf system.

Not to mention the new battery a US/Israeli Company is making that will allow something to run for days...
 
Whoa whoa whoa, the DS was not released in early 2004, it was released in late 04 which would mean that in the beggining of 06 it would have only been one year and 1 month not a full two years, if you are talking about late 06 then I apologize but the beggining of 07 would only be two year and 1 month so a half year later or even a year later then that would be when they releae the GBE, IMO.
 
Nintendo DS was released in what November 2004? I believe that with the Revolution being released in late 2006, than early 2007 would be the ideal time.

With the total hype over Revolution in console, they can also replicate that within the handheld market.
 
Also, when kids play video games in the summer parents blame the gaming companies for why they are fat ;P

If it is winter you usually have to be inside anyways XD
 
The DS really sold good in Japan it seems, some kids there are going to have a fun winter with it. =3

As for the GBE, I'd rather seriously wait, or at least get a next level DS if one comes out during this time.

As for screenshots.. C'MON! AT LEAST TELL ME WHERE TO GET THEM!! >__<
 
The DS is an excellent console and no one should wait for the GBE if they can get such a great console. The GBE should be released in mid-late 2007, not earlier.

And why is that ;P I am sure a new PSP will be out in late 2007 or early 2008

They know they are XD and besides the handheld market isn't one where you only release a new system every 4/5 years.... The handheld market is also being somewhat merged into the cell phone market

I just can't wait to see like a Motorola Nintendo Cell Phone XD
 
Gah!! Poke-Rev, you're a GENIUS! =D That Nintendo Razr DS idea is absolutely AWESOME! It'd seriously be a total anti-PSP. All the things the PSP can do, RDS can do WAAAY better.
 
Of course I'm a genius, that RDS is my greatest idea yet!!! Too bad it probably won't happen.

Time for some numbers:

DS sales figures are 8.83 million worldwide, GBA sales have surpassed 70 million, and the GC is about to break the 20 million mark soon. All of these numbers are from the end of September so it's probably a little more now.

Anyways, yea RDS would never happen like ;P but I do believe a mobile phone/handheld device is in the future ;P
 
The DS can do VOIP, kind of, I think. How about these number for the DS, Nintendo knows what they're doing, this is in Japan.

If you add them all up together the DS still wins by over 97,000. All I can say is, wow. I wish they had weekly sales charts for the US.
