Well lets just hope that they know what they're doing though.
Yes well .. we can hope and all that. D= But if Nintendo pulls something bad on us, it won't be too fun.

After the revolution revolutionizes the defination of SUCKAGE:
Max's friends at school: HEY DUDE! I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOUR "REVO" PWN'D!

~_~

Graphics won't be the Rev's selling point. I'm thinking that the way the controller is implemented will either make or break the Rev. I'm kinda skeptical about the controller myself. =/

Is the Rev going to be more powerful then the PS3 and 360? Nope, you can more or less bet the farm on that. Am I going to break down and cry over it? Nope.
Nintendo has always been one that doesn't have systems as powerful as everyone else. The NES wasn't as powerful as the Master System. The GB wasn't as powerful as the Lynx or the Game Gear. The SNES wasn't as powerful as the MegaDrive/Genesis (and in that race Sega did out sell the SNES). The N64 wasn't as powerful as the PlayStation. The DS isn't as powerful as the PSP. The GC isn't as powerful as the PS2 and Xbox.
So do you really think Nintendo is going to blast the 360 and PS3 out of the water by being more powerful then them?
Nintendo has always worked on keeping prices low and new thing coming up. They have always done that and they do really well for it too. They're the only ones out that that makes money off the systems, and are about the onely ones that comes up with new stuff.

Edgeboy: Does your friend want a PS3 or 360?
Just tell him/her this.

360: What's so great about the 360? It has menu loading errors. It has disk and slot loading errors. It's fan over heats really quick. It's very loud. It crashes, and sometimes scratches the CDs. It only plays 200 Xbox games. And if you don't have the harddrive you can't play any Xbox games. The system sometimes just turns itself off (most likely due to the fan).

PS3: What's so great about the PS3? It's rumored to cost from $500-1000 dollars (you need to change this to your currency). It's games are going to cost $60-70 dollars (currency again). Blu-Ray is new so it'll take longer to load then normal PS2 games. As it stands now the PS3 game lineup isn't that good. And it's large so it'll be hard to fit in a small place.

The Rev on the other hand will be small. It'll be full Wi-Fi (so if you want to get online you don't have to run a cable from the DSL/Cable modem). All the controllers will be wireless (where the 360 has wired controllers). It'll be able to download games from the NES, SNES and N64 days. It'll be able to play all GC games. It'll connect with the DS (or the next GameBoy) wirelessly. The controller you can use as a sword, or a gun, or ball bat, or a fishing rod, as well as tons of other things. On top of that it'll have a shell so you can play old style like the GC/PS2/Xbox controllers. The system will cost less then the PS3 and 360. As well as the games will cost less then the PS3's and 360's games.

Oh snap, I couldn't find this thing, I thought it was gone and then I saw "The Nintendo Gaming Guild", I was like, WTF what is this, so I click on it and there it is. That was off topic.

Anyways, the Rev won't have the power of the 360 or PS3 but three times more powerful than the GC is good for me. Just imagine RE4 and LoZ: TP and multiply the eyecandy by three, that seems pretty sweet to me.

Yea we went to a PC group (shows up in profiles if joined). So that's why the name change and different forum. XD

True, the Rev will be 3 times better then the GC. And just look at games that looks great on the GC (TP, SW: RS3, RE4). Just think how good the Rev games will look. That's why I always say, if you want to see how good the graphics of a system then you should try a Star Wars game (because to me, they have top of the line graphics), not a Mario or Pokemon game.

Exactly, Star War games are pretty good looking. Another good game that you could triple the looks and would come out looking great is Echoes, also if you have seen the screen shots of Black those are for this Gen(not for the GC but whatever) and you multiply that by like 2-5 times(depending on if it's PS2 or X Box screen shots) and you have a sweet looking game. I'll throw in the link so you could see for yourself:

Black

I've seen the game on GS but I never clicked it and looked at the screen shots. But holy crap, that's a PS2 game? O_o;;
That game is pushing the graphics for the PS2.
The Rev games is going to look better then that (even if it's just a little) and everyone is going "The Rev sucks because it's graphics sucks!".
And Nintendo has this strange way of making games look really really good and it's graphics stuff isn't as high as the PS2 and Xbox. I mean the PS2 and Xbox has better graphics cards (or whatever) then the GC. But how come some GC games (RE4 for an example because it's on both systems) look just as good or better then games on the other systems? I thought the PS2 and Xbox blowed the GC out of the water on graphics? I think Nitnendo might do something like this with the Rev. If it can do Unreal 3 engine stuff then it'll be almost as good as the PS3 and 360 on some games.

And the best part is that since the technology will be similar to the GC's, developers who are familiar with the GC will be able to push the Rev to it's graphical limitations very early while it might take time for developers to push the PS3 and 360 to their abilities. Yeah, if it can do Unreal Engine 3(or whatever it's called) than some games will look just as good.

That's true.
I think the Rev is more of a developers system then the PS3 and 360. I mean the developers won't have to pay as much to make games for the Rev as they do with the 360 and PS3. So they'll keep their cost low for the Rev where with the other two they got to have great graphics and all that other stuff. The controller could be an up or down for them. I mean it's new so they'll have to get used to it. But at the same time that controller opens the door to all sorts of new things they couldn't do with a normal controller.

Have you seen all of those supposed Revolution Interface screens? There has been a lot since the first one came up.

Yes, the Rev is user friendly you might say, and consumer friendly too because of the low cost. And the new controller will allow people that havn't played a lot of games to play it well, it's n00b friendly. Let's just say that the Rev is very friendly.

I'm a hardcore Nintendo gamer (or if you want, one of the few fanboys that gives facts and doesn't blow up when someone says something bad about Nintendo XD). They have fanboys on all sides, and they should all keep their thoughts to themself. It doesn't anyone if someone goes "Nintendo rules and the PS2 SUCKZZ" or "Nintendo is teh suckage, too kiddy for real teens".

The DS never had much of an Interface Browser (the PSP one is better when it comes to the Interface screen). But the Rev on the other hand is a console. It's larger, better, and can do more things. So I'm sure they'll have something where it'll list your friends online and all that sort of stuff (I just hope it has like a small chat, where you can ask them if they want to play ... game).

._.'' Too many large posts. *ignores*

Oh yeah he does. PS3 though, none of us here are Microsoft fans.

Well, you just like said it costs WAY more than it should - and well, you don't want to know how much it'll cost here. ._.''
And well .. he'll still probably get his dad to get it somehow, and he'll rant about the graphics and all. Or something ..

I've earned myself the name of NF, for Nintendo Freak, in my class ... thanks to my fanboyishness to Nintendo. XD I don't know wether to be proud or feel embarassed or something.

Hopefully it's interface looks better than those red mockups IGN posted. X_x

What do you guys make of the new "reports" that the Revolution would be out by June in Japan. It also claim having a bigger lanuch lineup than the Xbox and PS3 - which I doubt, considering we have seen little and unveiling them all one month prior to the launch (at E3) doesn't seem that smart.

For Sony to at least make some money off the PS3, it's got to cost 500-1000 dollars. The 360 here costs 400 dollars (if you want a hard drive and wireless controller etc). So the PS3 is going to cost as much or more then that.

Well, lets just hope Nintendo has a little more brains then IGN. X_X

And yea, I read that on GS. And I bet you it's not true. At least not the part where it says it comes out June in Japan. If I remember right Nintendo has said that the Rev will come out world wide within 2-4 weeks of when it first comes out (if it comes out in Japan, within 2-4 weeks it's out in the US, UK and all around the world). And it wouldn't be all that good for them if they had almost a half a year gap.
As for the line up... Who knows, like Poke-Rev said, the 360 has 18 games. How many of them were "good games"? The Rev will most likely top the 360 launch lineup.

Any word on how the Revolution's Controller well actually work?
The link below tells about the controller and how it'll work.

Out of all the 360 games that were launched with the system, I would say they were all just better looking games of this gen games. And to answer your question Arcanine, they all sucked IMO, Perfect Dark is just another shooter and PGR3 is just another racer with pretty cars. Those were the two high profile games and they were not up to expectations, Kameo was OK.

Now the PS3, this might be because I mainly just pay attention to news about Nintendo but I havn't heard of even close to 30 games in developement for it.

Then there is the Rev, here is a list of games that are confirmed to be in developement Games(unless it says otherwise). I also think I remember Arcanine posting a list of developers that were making games for it. To me it seems that the Rev will have a pretty good launch lineup(at least better than the 360).

I really want to play a game in where you use two Rev controllers, like wielding two guns or a drummer game. Then there is also the lightsaber games everybody wants to play, and boxing.....I can't wait for the Rev!
