    do you nickname or not?

I have never nicknamed one of my pokemon in like 20 years of playing.

But maybe I should have... I dunno the more I think about it giving it a unique name makes sense .

I only nickname my Pokemon if it is my favorite, I'll name it my wife's name or my daughter, since they're my favorite people in the world. But other than that, no I don't nickname any Pokemon. I like their original names :)

I used to nickname every single Pokemon. Now I nickname almost all of them, but when I'm breeding (obviously not applicable to RBY), I don't do so to save time (and because other people don't seem to like nicknamed Pokemon, so if I want to be able to trade something, I opt not to nickname it). With bred Pokemon, I usually EV train them, then go to the name rater and nickname them.

It was a pain RBY, though, as the nickname was the only thing that would show up when looking at a list of Pokemon in the PC. If I was too creative with my nicknames, and if I took a break from playing after nicknaming something and putting it in the PC, I would have to check each Pokemon one by one to figure out which one was which when I got back.

Always nickname, forever and ever, I just feel like it makes them more apart of my team and gives a real bond between Trainer and Pokemon. Not nicknaming them feels a bit impersonal.

Haven't decided what theme I want to do them this time (last time it was Greek Goddesses).
