Im going as a male as thats my gender. il go through as a female though if i buy both versions so i can have either gender on the games.

...I like Crys...I tend to like all the female characters/protagonists in Pokemon games, though. So you know, there's that.

Edit: Oh, my. They changed the female protagonist to someone else. Well. Guess I'll have to figure out who this new member of the party is.

I'll be getting heartgold version, but i'll be playing the boy, something i haven't done since Crystal version.

I'll be playing the boy simply to spite this "soul". They did not need to replace Kris. They didn't replace the other characters, just Kris, and it burns me up because i've seen pictures of soul. She's like a cross between dawn and may with pigtails. I hated them both, but played as them anyway. But this is just beyond annoying. I liked Kris, and i see really no justification for replacing her.

SoulSilver = New (nameless) Girl

Actually, if you look up on bulbapedia, the english translation of the girls name is "Soul"

I play with female characters in Hoenn and Sinnoh, whereas I play with male ones in Kanto and Johto.
