Yesterday I was refreshing PC for four hours intermittedly waiting for PMs from Cyclone and Polar Spectrum. The notification system never told me I had new VMs. I know I 'x'd my browser and came back to PC, too, in that time period, and there were no notifications. Then, randomly, I got four notifications four hours after both Cyclone and PS had posted VMs on my profile. All notifications stated that these VMs had been posted three hours ago, but I never was notified.

I also have a girl on my profile who VM'd me saying I VM'd the wrong person, but I never VM'd her (you can see that by clicking on my name lol). It was very confusing!

Cyclone also mentioned to me that he got a notification for a thread he never even replied in (and didn't have access to), as if he had posted there and was quoted.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing their notification system on PMS?

yes I am experiencing this too, in fact a couple times I've gotten VM's and I haven't been notified for a good while after they were posted. hopefully this gets fixed because It Is Annoying Yes I Agree

I just found that I have the same problem as well.

Situation: Beachboy VM'd me when I was checking PC on my tablet. I checked a few pages, then my session timed out. I came back online a few hours later on my computer to find no new notifications. It wasn't until I checked my profile on a whim that I found that I received a VM.

If it's a skin issue, I'm using Dawn of Champions. If it's a browser issue, I'm using Chrome.

I have a bugged notification. A user quoted my post in a thread, and when I click on the link in the notifications:

    https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?p=#post

It tells me that the thread and post doesn't exist lol

I know which thread it is, though, but now that notification is stuck because I can't access the non-existent thread link thing :\

A few hours ago I received four (IIRC) VMs and got a switch that said I only had a single message; this also happened earlier (dunno when exactly). But I personally haven't been missing anything, although I have in the past and a month or so ago I was stuck with a permanent notification that I could only clear by accessing the permalink for that specific VM (and I don't remember how I got the link, but that's what I did).

Using The Johto Elite and haven't been receiving notifications for VMs for a little over a day now. I get post likes notifications just fine and have no problem deleting them but the VM notification issue is definitely affecting me.

It's doing it again lol quote notifications that lead to a dead link.

Oh, that's happened to me before. I'm not sure why, but my best guess would be either that the thread was merged with some other after the person quoted, or it was deleted. It's most likely former, since it's uncommon for threads to get pruned. Either way, it'd be great if this were updated, so that it would redirect you to the new URL whenever these kind of things occur!

I know neither are the case because it's a reply to my Trade Shop, and Fokko doesn't have any deleted replies in that thread nor has anything ever been merged.

Then I'm not exactly sure what could be the issue, haha. You still get an error message after you click, don't you? Either way, these things are related, in some way, so it'd definitely be nice to see them fixed all together.

I will point out a weird one I had here even though I'm sure the staff forum was notified (likely by Axton) regarding it.

I sent a message to someone with a staff-related issue - namely, suggesting someone for promotion to moderator (other than myself, though I volunteered if determined able to as well). Later that day, I saw a notification for a quoted post and went to click it; it turns out I could not access the forum (the staff forum). Axton was the person named, so I inquired; I was told it wasn't even him quoting it (the person I initially contacted supposedly did). At the same time, I found notifications of other types not working suddenly.

Later, I removed the rogue notification and found that a previously missing notification suddenly came through (I'd already seen the item in question though). Since then, I did have some unsent notifications for some strange reason, or they appeared later.

Things appear well for now (knock on wood), but ya never know.
