I finally cracked and started using the avatar that Paige made for me. *sigh*
We don't have that here at my HS. It's just a letter and 4.0 (F=0.0, A=4.0) system only. There is no + or - in our grades; letter only. It's both good and bad in a way.*~Ashley~* said:I don't understand the 4.0 system... at least, the one where the levels of your classes contribute. It's so confusing. ><;
You mean the whole: limit as h --> 0 of [f(x+h)-f(x)]/h thingy? I hate expanding those when their polynomials. ><;Dakota said:Wow, that is the EXACT same reaction I had when I first saw it. I was like
"OMFG!?!? Why didn't you teach this to us BEFORE you made us use that stupid f(x) -f whatever crap!?!?"
Yeah...you'll use the power rule a lot...then the reverse power rule for antiderivatives. Have fun with that one...
That's the way it works in my school as well. Yeah.*~Ashley~* said:Simon-- Oh, well my school has it so different leveled classes are weighted differently. Like a B in an honors class is equal to an A in a level one class. So it affects our GPAs. It's so confusing...
Teh Ty lyke totally owns you.Jack O'Neill said:I finally cracked and started using the avatar that Paige made for me. *sigh*
Shouldn't I be rid of Ty now that I've stopped using his/her/its avatar? O_____o;Simon said:Teh Ty lyke totally owns you.

You know what, Simon?! FINE!!! *curls up into a ball and cries* XDSimon said:>> I hope not. I'll just wait for you to curl up in a ball again...heh.

There's one sign.Jack O'Neill said:You know what, Simon?! FINE!!! *curls up into a ball and cries* XD
Yeah, it's exactly the same here.Simon said:We don't have that here at my HS. It's just a letter and 4.0 (F=0.0, A=4.0) system only. There is no + or - in our grades; letter only. It's both good and bad in a way.
Good: If I had an 89%, I couldn't get a B+. So my teacher would either have to give me a flat B or "bump" it up to an A. ^.^
Bad: The converse of the above. 80% stays at a B or gets bumped down to a C. Most the the teachers would usually just give you the B unless you had bad work habits or something.
There'll be no e-licking from me, Simon. =PSimon said:There's one sign.
I wonder when he'll start e-licking people...
I'm gonna go laugh myself off now.
Yes, WTF indeed.Ivan said:Laugh yourself off? WTF
Why are you e-licking people, JO?
I meant "my ***," not "myself."Ivan said:Laugh yourself off? WTF
