Introduction:
I have always wanted to make a Pokemon rom-hack that wasn't just an increased difficulty hack, like my Pokemon Extreme Silver, but a new experience altogether. I want it to push the limits of rom-hacking, like adding in new features that weren't though of to be added in a rom-hack before. I made this team because I think I'm ready to enter the rom-hacking world, and add something new to it.



Story
Pokemon Magma takes place in the Geno region, which is HUGE, and diverse in mountains, grass plains, snow fields, lakes, and Soot Peak, an active volcano, which is where you meet Heatran, the version mascot. It also has a royal hierarchy, complete with a King, Queen, and a Princess. I haven't thought of the male and female trainer names yet. We'll just call them "Guy" and "Girl" for now.
Guy/Girl turns 13, and gets their first pokemon, and goes on an adventure. Their dad is the champion of the Geno region, and is sent to explore Soot Peak, since scientists predict it will erupt soon. However, Team Dust stalks their father, hoping to gain information on the volcano, since they want to awaken Heatran, and capture it. It's up to you to rescue your dad, defeat Team Dust, and become the new champion.

Past Experience: I've done a bunch of small side work on my own, and I'm working on Pokemon Revenge and Pokemon Reheat.

Would you also be able to switch map locations, since you said you know about the starting place?
PM me, please. I already have someone who is taking care of sprites and such, so you can't do that, although stuff the warps and starting place will help, since I would need help with that. I want to make a new map, and you could help with the locations, and such. Like I said, PM me further information.

Sorry, not accepted. I already have someone doing warp points. Sorry!

I have added an update to the OP. I added some screen shots as proof that I'm not sitting around drinking Dr. Pepper (though I AM doing that)

It's not a huge difference, I just changed the Gen 1 Starters sprites for front and back, both normal and shiny. You can see them in action in the OP.

Skills: mapping, sprites, I'm a fast learner, so it won't be a problem to learn how to use other tools,
But programming with assembly would be hard, never done that before, my programming skills are C#, JavaScript and using the Unity engine.
Past Experience: I've tried to make hack roms and uses as many tools as possible to get a reslult
Proof that you excel at that skill: sorry I don't have the files anymore to proof it, only my c# and unity projects

Also make sure to check the Development Updates section frequently, as there is always something new almost every day.

I have come up with some ideas for names for some cities.

Vulcan Village - A village not at the foot of a volcano, but RIGHT NEXT to the mouth of the volcano.

Nisaford City - A rugged city with gangs, and a large junkyard.

Royalis City - A huge, busy city. Complete with a luxurious hotel, and a fancy club.

Tranqui Town - Where the player lives, and starts his/her journey. A small, and peaceful town.
