If I asked this question before please feel free to punch tell me, but just how big does your trade thread have to be to get the emblem for having a huge trade thread? And no, I know better than to fill it full of crap and say "H3Y GU1Z L00K H0W B1G M4H TR4D3 THR34D 1S!!!!!!!11!@!#@!!!

I recieved my emblem from Twilightblade after i went over teh 1,000 post mark (or somewhere around there) back in May, if its any help.

i wants that emblem, so going by what livewire said i should maybe get it soon. :) yay
 
Isn't there an emblem for getting x amount of replies to a thread you started in OC?

If there is, and that amount happens to 100+ I earned it.

I wasn't really requesting, more so confirming is that was an actual emblem. As long as I know that I earned them, its quite alright. xDD

We didn't have them last year (despite me suggesting and supplying an image for them) so I highly doubt they'll be implemented. Hosting an event for the enjoyment of others should be enough satisfaction.
 
And the nice little banner for about a week. Wish it would last longer, and the winners of the events should get nice little emblems for winning. Heh.

Oh, I expect there will be emblems for the winners of events, we had those last year. The event organisers just need to make the emblems and send them to a member of the higher staff when done. I wouldn't quote me on that, though; last year we had a thread where everyone posted their rewards, I think.
 
Hmm... I should figure out the winners when I get the chance (that is, if I get the position) and just create an emblem based off the game.
 
I feel like some people have more emblems because they're close friends with many mods so they get to see what the person is like :/ not fair, me wants an emblem ;__;
 
Not really, unless you're talking about a mod's personal emblem to give out. Then it's their discretion as to who receives it and whatnot.
Other than that, no.

Being close friends with a moderator does not get you high chances of receiving things. In fact, it's just like being friends with a regular member but just that they have a section to take care of. If a mod sees that you are suited for an emblem then they will give it to you. They won't just jump on your back and say 'hey your a cool buddy I'mma give you this emblem'.

Like Erik said as well, their personal emblems can be given to you by friendship but it's up to them.

To receive an emblem, a mod or any of the staff members have to see that you are fit for that emblem, depending on what emblem it is. I really don't see the big deal about emblems and why everyone must have one though; they're just there and they don't do anything but show something of yourself. :P

As the guys said, a lot of emblems are mod's personal emblems that are to give out at their leisure, often to close friends. Another reason as to why some people have a lot of emblems is because they're very active members across the board and have obtained these awards from various sections. If you stick to one or two sections all the time there's less emblems for you to obtain because a lot of them are section specific. Also, note that a nice handful of emblems are received through winning competitions from various places such as the sub-forums within the Art Gallery.

Some members are friends with moderators of course, and I'm not saying that it's easier to get noticed if you have friends on the staff, but the staff aren't bias in handing out emblems just because they're friends with someone (this doesn't include the personal emblems), they only hand out emblems if you actually deserve them and not favoritism. Staff also like to keep a log by stating the reason they hand out emblems within the Mod Control Panel also, so it's not like we as staff just hand them about carelessly.

In saying all that, emblems aren't important in any way. They're just a little extra or a little bit of fun. So don't take it to heart if you're not obtaining a whole lot like some people have. If you really want to obtain them, don't try hard and make it obvious I suppose, just hint at it by doing what you think is required to obtain your desired emblem. My advice would be to spend more time posting in various places of the forum and try not to stick to one place. Be more actively involved in community events and competitions and always keep a positive attitude and who knows, you might just get noticed and get yourself a shiny new emblem. Best of luck :]
 
Okay. But I think I found a way to get the PC IS MY LIFE Emblem. You can just open PC during the whole day even when you're not there.

By the way, I do stay a lot of time on PC everyday.

Can someone remind me when will the 22nd come? It's time for my Veteran badge. XD
