5th Gen Official English Name Discussion

To keep myself occupied while I waited, I found a new avatar and siggy feature.

And I wouldn't be surprised if Pokemon is holding back on us for all the leaks and spoilers of Pokemon Black and White we've had.

I think Totodile is meant to be Tot (as in, little) + Odile (part of crocodile.) That's what I think. XD

I'm so excited for the English names. I hope they're not disappointing, though... :\

I hope Pokabu's English name is Boarbeque. XD XD XD
 
Well, looks like there's no word on it yet.
It's impossible for them to even think of postponing the announcement.
That would crush thousands of fans!

Serplant, Pignite, and Aquotter all sound good to me.
And Smugleaf? I'm sorry, but that is guaranteed not to be it.

True
Also Mudkip comes from Mud skipper the species it's based on abbreviated.
As for Piplup...that one is from Pinguin and... Pop...I'm not so sure about that one...
So the starters will follow that basic formula I suspect :)
 
It's 1:50 P.M. here now (13:50 on a 24-hour clock).

By the way. No matter what Mijumaru's English name will be, I will nickname it it's original Japanese name.
I've gotten attached to it.

I'll be checking the website every few minutes.
They can't toy around with us for too long.
 
Wow, I left for about 3 hours and STILL no English names? Lol, maybe they're only going to reveal the Pokemon and not their names... Nah, that'd be dumb. :(

They probably don't really give a hoothoot about europe....they're probably focusing on american time and whoever else wants it can get it whenever the us gets it...

Why would they postpone it? There is no reason to.

It's 2:30 P.M. here now.
My best guess for the time may be around 5 o'clock.

No but seriously,I'm literaly falling asleep here.I mean sleep would be good to kill the time but my brother wakes me uo every 10 minutes to check the names D:<

Snivy,Pignite and Wotter are my favorites so far.Though Smugleaf is a close second on Tsutarja's part.
