Yes, I see the resemblence, but the hat from Mario and this new girl is definitely not the same; not to me anyway. Though, Mario is the top selling franchise for Nintendo, so again I don't see it as a big surprise that she has some similar features.
 
What is this trainer's name going to be?

Y'know what this atrocious girl needs? She needs to be slapped with a thousand
and a half fashion magazines. Let's decompile her, shall we?

- She mugged the girl from FR/LG we shall call Leaf and stole her hat
- She also ripped off Leaf's eyes and shoved it in her eye sockets
- This new girl we shall call Freakazoid also met up with may, imposing as
Leaf, and stole May's shirt. Tsk Tsk.
- She also did an analysis of May and copied her clothes style
- Freakazoid met up with Platinum Dawn and stole her colours and
her bag.
- Freakazoid jacked Pipi (longstocking) and stole her.. long stockings.
- She even went as far as to steal Mario's facial hair and overalls..


She's even taller than Gold!!! What is this!? Some kind of shallow form

I still hate her. Marina/Crystal looked so. much. better.
marina and chris were even a couple in the anime! way to
rip a couple apart, game FREAK! :(

But seriously now, she looks like someone photoshopped her
from bits and pieces of shredded Pokemon Heroines. She
looks so hideous up close, but I'm going to use her since her
overworld sprite will probably look better than Gold's..


chikorita's sprite looks better than Gold's...

Ah yes, just because she has knee socks automatically means she's Pipi Longstockings...
I wear knee socks, and I'm not Pipi Longstockings...

Long sleeves =/= short sleeves. She doesn't have May's shirt. Or clothing style.
I don't think this character has blue eyes, and I don't think Leaf's hat has a giant bow.
Overalls =/= Mario style.
And I don't see any blue on the Platinum Dawn...
 
What I see the most out of the new girl isn't Kris anymore but Leaf the female from FRLG. The shorts are just replacing the skirt, the shows look almost the same, both have large hats...But you know what? I still do not have much a problem with her. I appreciate Nintendo trying to bring in something new. I just hope when they plan on coming up with 5th Gen protaganists, they work on something new but still attracting.

lol, her long legs make her look tall, and it does seem like they are trying to show some skin.
 
I personally like her.
She's grown on me, somewhat.
Her overalls, however, have not.
What were they thinking?!

I do like her as well because she is...different.

However, the hat does look like Mario's hat somewhat.
 
Eh, she's okay. I like Crystal/Marina's design much more, but she'll grow on me.

... I think. Maybe it's the overalls.
 
I like her even with the overalls. It makes her look like a girl that helps run a Miltank farm and it looks Johto-like.

Every post from you seems more and more like a picky little kid and people like you make me so irritated.
You psychoanalyzed her just to say "BAWWWWWWWWW SHE's NOT KRIS BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW"

I have to say its... meh? I don't really like the character outfit as much as the others before. I never really seen kris much but its fine with me if they replace her, you aren't going to put the same exact characters in another pkmn game I don't think, they changed golds design. She's ok at best but the outfit is what bothers be most.

P.S. My inner "other" forum goer made me say hit her with a truck, sorry!
