One Plat Game. Two different HG/SS games. Can this special Pichu from Plat be used on both of the HG/SS games to activate the event, or only once? ie: Trade to HG, do the event, trade to SS, do the event. Net result: Two Spikey Eared Pichus. (I am aware that Spikey Eared can't be traded)
If you trade a NA Pikachu-Coloured Pichu (from the current GameStop event) to a JP HG/SS, can you still activate the Spiky-Eared Pichu event? Or does it not work without a JP Pikachu-Coloured Pichu?

I'm curious about this too....

I actually just went a tried it, and it did work. Now I wonder if I can do the same with the Arceus/Shinto Ruins event...

Are there contests in HeartGold & SoulSilver?

No, not that I think so. I've been through Jhoto and I am now going to Kanto and haven't see any contests. Pokethon is like it though.

T~T my hopes are crushed..

Gee,Thanks a lot Nintendo..

You made a boy's dreams crushed...Lol.

The only requirement for the event is that the Pichu is a) shiny and b) met in a fateful encounter. So you can use a Pichu multiple times and across different languages.

Nope. They have been replaced by the Pokéathelon. If you want contests, you'll have to play DPPt.

1. How come in America when you preorder both games you do not get the Arceus figurine.
America doesn't include the Arceus figurine as a pre-orde bonus for purchasing both games because it was only Japanese exclusive. :\

2. Where and when can I get the Celebi event?
No confirmation on a Celebi event has been confirmed as far as I know. Currently, until the 14th of Feb. (this coming Sunday) the Pikachu-Colored Pichu event is being held at GameStop. Other than that, the next event coming up (also at GameStop) is the Draco Meteor Jirachi which will last from Feb. 27th to March 13th.

Thank you very much, I was just wondering because I don't want to miss any events.

question here

If you have Kyogre/Groudon follow you on the overworld, is there constant rain/sunlight?
The answer is no, sadly...

I have a question. Are the weekday siblings still in the game? If so, are they still in they same locations?

Their names are Monica of Monday (Olivine area) Tuscany of Tuesday (Route 29), Wesley of Wednesday, Arthur of Thursday, Frieda of Friday (near the Pokemon Center before Union Cave), Santos of Saturday (Blackthorn), Sunny of Sunday. They give away useful items: Sharp Beak, Pink Bow, etc.

Fortunately, yes, they are in the same locations as G/S/C. Tuscany gives out TwistedSpoon in HG/SS instead of Pink Bow, Santos gives out Soft Sand instead of Spell Tag, and the others give the same items. In HG/SS, if you go to them after taking the type boosting items, you get one of Julia's Ribbons. Here's a list of who gives which ribbon:

Sunny: Smile Ribbon
Monica: Alert Ribbon
Tuscany: Shock Ribbon
Wesley: Downcast Ribbon
Arthur: Careless Ribbon
Freida: Relax Ribbon
Santos: Snooze Ribbon.

Is there someone to give pokemon a massage in Johto, or is it still only Blue's sister in pallet town?
That rather ticked me off in silver, it took forever to evolve eevee.

Blue's Sister, Daisy, is still available to give your Pokémon massages. However, this time around it comes with a bonus to just a massage and raise in happiness level of your Pokémon. This time, it will also increase the beauty level of your Pokémon. Though, it may not be noticed in HG/SS, you'll notice the change when you trade your Pokémon to DPPt.

Other than her, I don't believe there are any other ones who massage your Pokémon (but don't hold me down on that). ^^; Luckily, there are other ways in raising your Pokémon's happiness level by using specific items to help such as the Soothe Bell, Vitamins, and more.

A Pokémon's happiness level varies from time to time however and it's all a matter of how well you raise it in the game through battle, items, etc.

What's the average Played time to beat the game (AKA beat red, finish most main tasks etc)?

I'm after a Pikachu that knows Fly, and one that knows Surf. I have Yellow Forest, and am competent with operating my Pokewalker, but I'm not sure on the mechanics:
Any tricks to make Flying/Surfing Pikachu come out of hiding? Serebii mentions something about groups, and only finding pokemon from the group...? o-o

On a similar note, how frequently do random pokemon follow you? I notice I get free pokemon occasionally when I leave my pokemon in my game, but no idea on what triggers it.

There really is no calculated average time it takes one to complete the game up to defeating Red. Considering there is more to it than the original versions, Gold and Silver, it would take a moderate amount of extra time. However, it depends on how much effort and play time the gamer takes to defeat the entire game. For some it can take up to maybe 50-100 hours, but that is probably for those who like to take the game step at a time, while for others it can take quite less if they run through it.

It'll take just about 10,000+ steps to encounter the Flying Pikachu or 9,500+ steps to come about the Surfing Pikachu as they are much more rarer than that of the other Pikachus you will find in the Yellow Forest. The best effort you have to finding one is luck, which is pretty subjective in the matter as some find them easier than some, but they are there.

As for frequency, I really couldn't answer that. Possibly a simple Google search might you find the answer. ;)

Darn it, I knew I missed one! D: But yes, other than Daisy, the Goldenrod Underground haircut brothers will massage your selected Pokémon.
