I can't seem to remember which Puzzles unlock which Unown, other than the first one. My goal is to capture all of the Unown in Alphabetical Order, so it's displayed as such in the Unown Report.

Top Right entrance: A~J
Bottom Left entrance: K~Q
Bottom Right entrance: R~V
Top Left entrance: W~Z

they will rearrange the Unown book for you though so no matter which order you catch them in, once you get them all they will rearrange it in Alphabetical order for you :)

It'll take just about 10,000+ steps to encounter the Flying Pikachu or 9,500+ steps to come about the Surfing Pikachu as they are much more rarer than that of the other Pikachus you will find in the Yellow Forest. The best effort you have to finding one is luck, which is pretty subjective in the matter as some find them easier than some, but they are there.

Serebii says you need 10000+ steps for a flying Pikachu. Is that a rough estimate for how long, or a physical prereq for finding it? If the latter, is it 10k steps total on that course ever, or does the step counter have to read over 10k for there to be any chance of finding one?

Again, what's this group Serebii's talking about? Do Flying/Surfing Pikachus only appear with the three "!!!" bubbles over grass? If so, does that mean sending a pokemon over, getting 10 watts, seeing if you get a "!!!", and resending the pokemon when you don't get one would be an effective method for getting a Flying/Surfing Pikachu?

I think the answer's no, but I want to be sure. Can you breed a Flying Pikachu to get Flying Pichu/Pikachu eggs?

That is the exact number of steps you need to have walked and the stepcount number resets to 0 at midnight. So if you walk 10k+ steps in one day, you can find it, but the second it hits midnight you need to rework back up 10k+ steps all over again.
No, surfing and flying are in the same group, so they both are either '!!!' or '!!' though '!!!' is a sure find and '!!' is rare to find them in.
There is a very low chance to find a '!!!' patch, but if you do and you catch the Pikachu, you can be sure that it is either flying or surfing. It's not that easy to get one to come out though :p

What's up with the Dark Manuscript ?

You get it from a weird guy in the Alph Ruins ... after I solved the puzzle from above . I can't understand anything from it , so what's with it ?

Pokemon traded from different games level faster, iirc. Does this apply to eggs?
ie: I get an Egg in SS and trade it to HG and hatch the egg in HG. Will it level faster than other pokemon? (I think the ratio is 1.5x)

How rare are slowpoke in the slowpoke well? I'm considering using a slowking in my party, but only if the encounter rate is right. Is it like, 10%, or less?

I'm confused. Say you take out a umm Lapras to follow you, how is that gonna work? Lapras' don't go out of water. Or how about a Magikarp? Or a Gyrados? Most water types, really.

@ Newbie 2.0 - They formatted the game to allow all 493 Pokémon to follow you (including the forms and shiny sprites). Even though it is technically unheard of for a Lapras or even a Magikarp to be out of water to be following its trainer, the game developers made it so regardless. Keep in mind that the game is fictional, therefore the unheard of can actually become "real" to say.

So, even though it may seem a bit odd, it's possible in the game for every Pokémon to follow you around. If you wish to see images of some OW sprites following the player in the game additional to other screen shots of the games, you can check out the thread, Heart Gold Screenies.

Oh awesome pics! Thank you, Hiiro!

I actually am glad that they made every Pokemon able to follow you. Just wondering how it would look or maybe if they didn't include some Pokemon. And they even let the shinies look like shinies! =D

Question for those who know or have the game, do you still have to shine your badges? I'm just curious.

Phew...that got sickening after a while. Plus the OCD thing didn't help me neglect them.

XD I liked shining the badges. Can you at least tap them to make a sound?

Is it true you can only level up your pokemon once on the pokewalker? :\

You can only level them by one level in the Pokewalker... at a time. That so you don't just stick it in the dryer for days or something I suppose -and if you transfer the Pokemon back into your game and onto the PokeWalker again (a quick process), it'll be able to level up another level.
Since HG/SS is Gen. 4, will Piloswine evolve into Mamoswine when it levels up and learns AncientPower?
Yes it can evolve whenever, it just won't show up on the dex until you get the Nat dex with some Pokemon is all.

I'd hate to say that you're wrong but you are
You are also right, though!

You can evolve Piloswine into Mamoswine as soon as it learns ancient power and it will appear as #197 in the Johto Pokedex.

Oh right, thanks guys! 'Cos I plan to trade a level 1 Swinub straight away and wanted to know if it could evolve to Mamoswine during SoulSilver.
