First Gameplay Footage! - May 10th

Today Pokémon Get TV was aired in Japan with some "World Exclusive footage of the newly announced 3DS Hoenn Remakes Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire!"

What we seen and learned

• Footage of Groudon and Kyogre displayed (video and images below)
• The games seem to be in similar style to X&Y, graphically.

Japanese variety show, Pokémon Get☆TV has showcased the first ever Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire footage. This footage showcased a battle with Groudon in it. It then showed a similar piece with Kyogre and showcased animations as they activated their abilities. THey then made reference to how different Groudon & Kyogre look compared to the box-art

First CoroCoro Leak - May 11th

The next batch of CoroCoro information have been posted to Japanese forums. The first of which reveals the game, Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire. As expected, it doesn't show screenshots of the game but rather does what happened in Get TV last night and compares Groudon & Kyogre to the images on the package. The magazine promises that new content will come & be revealed in the issue next month, currently set for release on June 14th 2014

Second CoroCoro Leak - June 7th

Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire- CoroCoro Reveals

The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the upcoming games. This reveals Mega Sceptile, Swampert and Diancie. Mega Sceptile is Grass/Dragon-type while the others maintain their type. Mega Diancie's ability is currently listed as ??? while Mega Sceptile has Lightning Rod and Mega Swampert has the ability Swift Swim.
Groudon & Kyogre's new "Mega Evolutions" are known as Primal/Prehistoric/Primeval Groudon & Primal/Prehistoric/Primeval Kyogre and are said to be a regression called Ancient Devolution. Steven Stone returns and also appears to have a Mega Charizard X and is after the secret for Mega Evolution
Both the Mach and Acro Bike make a return in this game and Team Aqua & Team Magma both return as well. Team Magma is lead once again by Maxie, and his Admins: Tabitha & Courtney. Team Aqua is lead by Archie and his admins Matt and Shelley, all of whom have been redesigned. Like the originals the team you face varies depending upon the game
The Mega Evolution activating item in this game is the Mega Bangle.

Mega Sableye Revealed - June 11th

My oh my! Looking good, aren't we?

EDIT: It has been confirmed that mega Sableye receives a boost in its special attack and defense while also having a lowered speed stat. It retains the dark/ghost typing and gets Magic Bounce for an ability!

Nothing major to announce, but certainly a lovely little insight to how the game is looking once more. Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre are the official names of Kyogre and Groudon's new formes. As well as new information that Diance's mega stone will be available in ORAS!

Contests Revealed / Coro Coro - July 11th, 2014

The next batch of CoroCoro information has been posted to Japanese forums and this batch showcases more information about the games. First, it shows the new Pokédex, which appears based on the GameBoy Advance, as well as a piece labelled Madame Pikachu. Another shows Brawly. We'll bring more as they come
Edit @ 15:04: We now have more images from John Lenoso which show various forms of Pikachu which appear to be related to the contests. Madam Pikachu & Hard Rock Pikachu on the first image, and Idol Pikachu, Doctor Pikachu and Masked Pikachu on the second. It states that more will be revealed on this in the issue next month. It also confirms that Pokémon Amie returns.

Along with the Mega Metagross reveal, Pokemon Amie and Pokemon Contests are confirmed to return. Additionally, artwork was released for Gym Leaders Roxanne, Brawly, Wattson, Flannery, and Norman alongside Elite Four members Sidney and Phoebe. Their signature Pokemon are shown to be Nosepass, Makuhita, Magneton, Torkoal, Slaking, Shiftry, and Dusknoir, respectively.

The PokeDex seems to be styled after the original GBA.

August CoroCoro Leaks! - August 8th, 2014

Lots of new information has been released this CoroCoro, some news more surprising than others. Mega Altaria, Lopunny, and Salamence are all confirmed! Mega Altaria becomes Dragon/Fairy with the new ability Pixilate, Lopunny becomes Normal/Fighting with the ability Scrappy, and it now knows the move Hi Jump Kick. Mega Salamence has the ability Aerilate, previously exclusive to Pinsir.

It has been confirmed that if you change Pikachu's costumes, it gets special moves in its arsenal. Pikachu Rock Star gets Meteor Mash, Pikachu Ph. D. learns Electric Terrain, Pikachu Pop Star knows Draining Kiss, Pikachu Belle has Icicle Crash and Pikachu Libre gets Flying Press, a previously exclusive move of Hawlucha.

More about contests are confirmed! A new character named Lucia, who is a Contest Idol, gives you special clothes for participating in contests, which are on display in the CoroCoro page! It appears that Lucia has an Altaria as her primary companion. It was also confirmed in this leak that in an event, you will be able to receive a Shiny Beldum with its Mega Stone.

Further CoroCoro leaks - August 10th, 2014

CoroCoro and a press release have proceeded torelease more information. The below images explain Feebas' reliance on contests to evolve into Milotic, as well as the possibility to Mega Evolve during contests when the "Excite Meter" is full. When the transformation is complete the crowd is excited and the player earns bonus points for their performance. Furthermore, horde encounters return with an added feature - Trainer Hordes! Additionally the press release revealed that Mega Lopunny will receive an Attack and Speed boost, while Salamence receives a Defense boost and Altaria a Special Attack and Attack boost.

Accidental Mega Leaks - August 12, 2014

Korea's official Pokemon website leaked two new Mega Evolutions earlier today - Mega Slowbro and Mega Audino. Mega Slowbro reportedly has increased Defense and Special Attack, whereas Mega Audino is graced with increased Defense and Special Defense. More details will likely be released on the new Megas once their intended reveal comes around.

Mega Audino Officially Revealed - August 14th, 2014

Junichi Masuda revealed Mega Audino in a promotional trailer at Gamescom this morning. He confirmed the previously revealed information in that Mega Audino will receive boosted Defense and Special Defense, as well as Healer, and even a new move in Misty Terrain.

This Month's CoroCoro - September 9th, 2014

In this month's issue, it was revealed that on October 15th, we'll be able to download a trial version of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire using a serial code. The demo will allow us to choose between Combusken, Marshtomp and Grovyle, and at the end of the demo we will receive a Mega evolution. More news will likely be coming out about this, so stay tuned.

NEW Megas have been confirmed! As was expected by many, Gallade, Camerupt, and Sharpedo get an upgrade in the upcoming remakes. Mega Sharpedo confirmed to have the ability Strong Jaw, and Camerupt gets Sheer Force. Mega Camerupt's speed gets a downgrade but everything else increases, and all of Mega Sharpedo's stats increase. Now, that's all well and good, but to me the most important thing about this is the long-awaited mention of Wally in ORAS news. Dang, does his redesign look spiffy! What a dashing young man.

We also learned some new information surrounding Primal Groudon and Kyogre. Primal Kyogre gets the ability Sea of Beginnings, and Primal Groudon receives the ability Land of Endings. They activate Strong Rain and Strong Sunlight, respectively, the meaning behind of which is yet to be determined. Primal Groudon's new move, showcased in the most recent trailer, is called Cliff's Blade.
