6th Gen Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Rumor Discussion

If you mean the last screenshot on the poster, it's no different from the rest of them - discolored. May's outfit is yellow, haha. Lati@s hasn't been revealed yet, but it's been discovered already. The only new thing from it is the group of Pokemon silhouettes assumed to receive Mega evolutions in ORAS. Most of them would make sense, granted, but that doesn't mean the poster is legit.

No. Thqt poster is discolored

However, it's still very likely fake

Ah, I thought when you said "look at the last screenshot," you were referring to the screenshot on the poster. Honestly, it's difficult to determine whether this one is fake or not, because there aren't any glaring defects anymore - no spelling or grammatical errors, or anything that is normally used to spot fakes. Not in any position to state that it isn't legit, but it's better to take all the leaks that come out between now and July's CoroCoro with a grain of salt. So far, there haven't been any unplanned, spontaneous releases of information, everything's been revealed at expected times, the CoroCoro and E3.

See? It looks much better already. And much more legitimate. Tho I'm going to wait a bit before I determine if this poster is lying. However, 3 of those megas have been revealed, both Latis(tho not officially, we know they exist and Sableye). However those ones would be easy to guess. Now that I posted the better one tho. Tho like you said it should be taken with a grain of salt. But a bigger grain than the previous

I wonder why the poster's edges aren't shown... perhaps proof of it's authenticity is there...
I'm hoping that if it's real it's hidding some more Megas at the edges. I don't think I seeDiancie as one of those shaded...wonder why only the Hoenn Megas...

It seems kinda odd to me they'd put Kyogre's and Groudon's new forms on a Mega Evolution poster even if they are ORAS's poster children, since it kinda implies to those who don't know that the new forms = new Megas.

They've yet to advertise Primal Groudon and Kyogre with the new Mega evolutions, so that's a great point. Game Freak's been focusing on separating this new way of devolution from the Kalos-introduced mechanic. Even on their newly created ORAS official website, Primal Reversion has a page completely separate from the Megas.

I was going to point that out in my earlier post, but thought that maybe since they're the mascots they'll be there. After all Xerneas and Yvetal were seen in a lot of XY merchandise and news themselves. So who knows why they'll put them there...one would think even the person who faked it (if it is) would know lol.

I'm pretty sure I agree with ORAS on this one. It's kinda obvious why Primal Kyogre and Groudon are there is simply because they are the mascots. It is kinda a bad marketing strategy to post something and not have the mascots in. It's kinda counterproductive or so, I think.

True but Xerneas and Yveltal didn't boast an entirely new way of changing forms, like Groudon and Kyogre now do, and it would be sensible to avoid getting Primal Reversion mixed up with Mega evolution in advertising. Because they're the mascots of ORAS, though, I guess it's more difficult. Speaking of, I find it interesting that there haven't been any fakes of Pokemon like Primal Cradily/Armaldo yet.

Intrestingly the XY Mascots were the origin of mega evolution (or so they're believed to be), so perhaps the Primal Reversions of the Weather trio serve that role in Hoenn so they'll fit in with the Megas on that poster as they're connected (the official site implies a connection). Though I still think it's mostly meant for marketing purposes like Avant Garde and I said earlier.

I think it'd be pretty unique if certain mega-evolved Pokémon were given the chance to go primal. Primal reversion don't make much changes to you appearance-wise, so I could definitely see this working. Mega Blastoise with primal color scheme would be quite a sight, if you ask me. I know these Pokémon would be overpowered severely, but they could still serve some purpose story-wise. When it comes to competitive battling, they could be banned to Ubers and keep doing their thing.

Giving a Mega a Primal reversion? I don't think, and certainly hope they never go there...especially since they're said to be similar... (I think Mega Evolution is caused by the drawing of natural Power into the Pokemon's body which could be how they're connected.)

I also don't think they'll give any Pokemon with a Mega a Primal, except for maybe Aerodactyl (it has no pre-evolution too so it's possible it had an older form...maybe Rock/Dragon with Levitate?).

There's been a real lack of rumors compared to XY. I know they're remakes so it naturally means less new stuff but still...

True, but for a remake there's a lot of new stuff, haha. Primal Reversion is introduced, and Mega evolution, a pretty significant feature, makes its debut in Hoenn. There's a lot of things that rumors could be spawned from, so it is a bit odd that there haven't been too many. If you search for ORAS on tumblr, you can find some fan art of various Pokemon with Primal forms, for example, Magikarp, and they're actually all really cool. Wonder if some of them will come true in later releases.

Well so far only Primal reversion is a new feature (More Megas are simply added but it's not new of course)...there's been a real lack of new features...or new places...nothing like the Versus seeker, Sevii islands, new Safarii zone, Pokethalon...
One would expect there'll be rumors of new areas or something not shown on the map...it makes one worry about the lack of new things for these games.

Those features wouldn't be new either. :p However I'm thinking there haven't been "new" rumors because these are remakes and nobody wants to jump the gun on the new introductions. It would've made sense for someone to create a hoax using that new building in Mauville as a platform but... nothing yet! We might see more stuff in coming days.

Those changes in the New Hoenn Map may be speculated by different people as something completely different, but for what it's worth, the current info we see on the Hoenn map is real. We just don't know what it is.

I know. I was merely giving examples of the kinds of things previous remakes have introduced to show how ORAS compares. FrLg also were the first games to use wi-fi (at least internationally). HgSs also introduced walking with Pokémon beyond Pikachu, while not exactly new it was a very large expansion of an old feature.
I kind of hope ORAS will do that, bring back a small feature from a previous generation and expand it...(Maybe if Primal Dialga is a Primal that will be it xD ).

Hopefully, rumors are fun to pick apart.

I've heard several rumors about the new map. None of them sounded even remotely legit though, which is why they probably haven't circulated really well, haha. Lots of things could definitely be assumed from the new design of Hoenn, though, especially because the areas are too small to actually decipher what the small edits are. Mauville's intrigued me these past few weeks.

Perhaps that foggy area at the top is the new area we're all waiting for...?

Hopefully Mauville would actually be depicted as a metropolitan city like Castelia and Luminose. Well, not that huge, but it seemed like the central city of Hoenn and had much importance. In the game, though, we could barely see two houses in it lol.
