I wouldn't say I'm a massive fan, but...have I explained the reason for that, yet?

I don't know if I've made public-public knowledge of this, but for the past year I've been writing stories for loose remakes of the PC-98 games since, even among Touhou fans, the games and characters that aren't Elly, Yuuka, and Mima are pretty obscure. Plus you can't buy the games anymore and the translated games (aside from translation videos) are relatively new.

So it's more that I've been doing a ton of research on the games and trying to build a cohesive story (and more involved character personalities) around them. 2-5, specifically, with characters from 1 appearing throughout the games. So far I've written all of Eastern Wonderland (Sans the Extra, which I need to do) and part of Dim. Dream (a bit trickier since it's the least linear of the games). I'd post some, but I doubt anyone'd find it all that interesting.

HOLY SHIT I FORGOT ABOUT THIS. Yeah, I was half-trolling. Only half in that I don't actually think the new games are lazy (especially not lately), but what I said about HRtP was pretty on-point with what gets me about it. I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites, though, but I do think it's both interesting and contrarily frightening in its presentation and its use of lack of information.
