Rather than too old, we're mostly just too white (ie: me) and/or nerdy (ie: macho) to use them unironically. Well, at our ages, anyway. I'm probably unhealthily fluent in it thanks to /r/nba, though.

No, I don't think being a nerd is weird. If anything, it's become almost completely acceptable in the past 10 years. I mean, except for the extreme stuff.
