It's really just artistic direction- probably because they wouldn't be well received and they would otherwise scare the living crap out of followers; not exactly something you want on your church's stain-glass.

The ones that do give them four faces are generally darker works like, again, Bayonetta, mainly because they're meant to meld with the atmosphere. I wouldn't be surprised if Dante's Inferno also did this.

Not that it matters too much, as that verse is speaking from a vision, so it's susceptible to doubt and suspension of disbelief.

Well, since everything the bible says is true (according to Christians) then that's what they look like

Everything in the bible is there because of God
He doesn't put falsehoods in it when it comes to His creations

So if the bible says Seraphs have six wings and Cherubim have four faces, then that's the truth of the matter

And Man in our contempt says "Screw that" and draws Angels in the shape of Men

Well, I'd agree, but having gone to a Catholic School for most of my life I can say without a doubt that most Christians (especially the current Pope, who's pretty damn awesome) don't believe everything in the Bible. In fact, some of the passages are passed off as stories that are meant to teach- similar to parables, or products of the times (the latter being the case of much of Genesis).

After all, not everything in the Bible was the product of divine inspiration (a more literal case of this is the Epistles), and canonicity tends to vary. Not too mention that accounts differ, stories sometimes contain vastly different perspectives and details, so on and so forth. This makes sense, really, because many Christians believe that doubt is healthy as, through overcoming a trial of doubt, we can reach true belief and trust.

As such, such skepticism is plausible and accepted. That's why stain-glass depictions of cherubim in the very house of God aren't seen as blasphemous by those who worship him or that Jesus, who's skin was a golden bronze, is about as white as French Vanilla Ice Cream in art.

I'll just go play some SMT for my daily dose of religions duking it out.

I really should talk with you more since you know more about Video games than I do. I just don't go to the Video Games section because well...I don't play video games outside of a few at a time. I only have a PC and Nintendo portables and never owned a TV console so I can't access the small repertoire of games that have been available.

Twilight's got puns. +1

I don't do British Dramas, myself. Well, pretty much any reality drama, really. I stopped watching TV sometime ago, but I imagine if a good Comedy came on I'd watch it (though there are some non-anime animated shows that I enjoy, though I don't watch them very often).

That said, dat chin doe.

It's actually funny that you mention that, Netto, because as much as we talk about anime here, video games are first in my heart. I absolutely love video games- almost to an unhealthy extent, but it's pretty much my favorite hobby and almost the sole non-essential that I spend money on.

So I do enjoy talking about them quite a bit. I really do find it a shame that they don't come up in DLTMS0 (or TCTI) very often.

Yeah, but owning a 3DS does get you a good chunk of modern JRPGs, and a good number of quality ones. The DS and 3DS combined could flood a small ravine with all of the good JRPGs they have.

Also, play The World Ends With You, it's fantastic.

And Fate/Stay Night, though I doubt that counts. Basically a digital choose your own adventure-book. I reeaally long one.
My thoughts on the matter.

@Don - I don't think I've met a boring gamer, yet. Honestly I don't think there's ever a reason to keep quiet about games because you're always going to connect with someone. Regardless of how little you play or how little you know about gaming, if someone else is interested in what you're talking about- or even if not, if someone has an interest in something related to whatever you're interested in gaming-wise (or even if the opposite is true), it opens up completely new avenues for both involved. And clearly there are gamers here in DLTMS0, so I say go crazy- it can pretty much only benefit you in the end.

Yeah, I know. Which is why I have a backlog of 3DS games that I have not played with yet. XD
On the other hand I do love me some Atlus games. Radiant Historia is my favorite JRPG for the DS outside of the more famous ones. It has so many of my favorite tropes done right. I wish more recent games employed that dual world trope. Speaking of which...I really want a Chrono Cross port so bad.

I am in the middle of TWEWY, It's just that I kinda paused playing and haven't restarted again...so many things got in the way. XP

I only have Pokemon X and Fire Emblem: Awekening for my 3ds... And I just started a new game on X, so it'll take a good while before I'll even consider buying a new game.XD
