My housemate has been watching SM a lot lately and I was really shocked to find just how boring it is now that I've grown up. I was so upset, I loved it as a child!

I've yet to watch an episode of Dragon Ball Z, but my heart was with Yu-Gi-Oh when I was a child so I didn't have time to watch anything else, haha. Pretty sure I watched every single episode from the series back in the day over five times. It was an obsession, one that I've thankfully outgrown. n__n

crud, I've gotta find a place to watch it. I used to watch that religiously when I was younger. My favorite Scout is Mercury
Crunchyroll is doing subs of it. The only downside is that they're releasing new episodes biweekly instead of weekly, every first and third Saturday of the month.

I never watched it as a child, and everybody kept telling me it was amazing but I really couldn't get past 36 episodes or something it was just so boring :( Unsure if I should continue - does it really get amazing later or is that just everybody's child self speaking? Lol.

Dragon Ball Z was a great show; used to watch every time I got the chance. Friends were a lot more addicted to it than me, though, haha.

My mothers side of the family is Italian, and in the summers we would go over to Italy and meet up with family and whatnot. I remember when I was younger and wasnt very fluent with my italian, I was just sitting there watching, scratching my head. And somehow, today, that is my fondest childhood memory, and it is my favorite anime/manga/tentacle porn.

I must have literally missed the 90s because I wasn't a Sailor Moon fan, a DDZ fan, a YGO fan, or a fan of television in general. I swear I should have been born in the 80s I have no idea what my parents were thinking.

I wasn't that big on DBZ and Yu Gi Oh either...at least, from what I can remember. The only anime I remember from then that I liked watching was Pokemon. Nothing much appealed to me then.

    I'm weird, I know.

Yu-Gi-Oh was the best. Used to be a huge fan of its anime, and would buy cards whenever I had some spare money left with me; wound a growing a drawer full of them. I still have them all, but not really sure what to do those cards, though. Maybe I could try selling some on eBay or other sites of the like, but am too lazy to go through the hassle that it might bring, haha.

In my school days I traded a biscuit for a Yu-Gi-Oh card, it was Dark Fog, and then I continuously traded with other people until I had an entire deck. 8D Not like we really did much else other than trade though since the cards were ILLEGAL at school and you'd get them confiscated if you had them. I bet the teachers had a massive collection formed from confiscated cards.

I wasn't really into television as a kid either. The only thing I really remember watching was like Cartoon Network stuff and Pokemon. Although it's probably because I was born at the end of the 90s :P

I've had three cards being taken away from me in school at one point because of that. None were actually valuable, though (to me, anyway), so I never attempted to get them back.

Have an old deck lying around somewhere; the fact that plants were becoming increasingly more powerful and relevant really excited me, as they were fun but practically useless in competitive duels prior to the introduction of a certain group of cards that actually turned it into a Yu-Gi-Oh powerhouse. Mine is a Doppel Plants build, but I haven't used it in ages D:

    omg amateur

See I was like the school's worst nightmare because I spread the craze but I never got caught. I should really have applied my talents to drug dealing or something more profitable. There was a guy that sold weed at my school and I COULD'VE BEEN THAT GUY. but I'm pretty sure the school hunt weed sellers much more intensely than card dealers. 8D

Going to a Greek Orthodox school in the late 90s and half of the 2000s I've had my fair share of Card Condemning practices. Its the devils work yadda yadda banned cards yadda yadda. Still didn't stop us having an underground trade network.
